  1. GAPPEQ!! One of my favorite artists!! making some excellent and very unique darker/melodic/funky/psychedelic tracks.... He's mostly released on Ketuh, but also has an excellent track on VA-Satellite (Oxygen Records). There's also another czech compilation called 'Bioplex & Statistikka' that came out in 2003 that has a few of his tracks on it. The next Ketuh comp, Psychic Imprint, which according to saiko sounds, should be out in the next few months has a Gappeq track on it as well...Word is that he's down in Australia now making music....
  2. After seeing Talpa's live, I want to say, no, there really isn't anything better. not sure what you are really looking for..BUT...try Mr. Peculiar- Elements
  3. music! Specifically artists/tracks that are not too progressive, not too full on, not too melodic and not too minimal and around 140 -142 bpm range (though not strictly speaking...) I'm looking for the out of the ordinary, psychedelic, yet not too too crazy stuff. Loopus In Fabula, Squaremeat, Troll Scientists, Artifakt come to mind...Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!
  4. add to this list- Tegma- Around the World in 80 Minutes and Furious- Not For Fame
  5. This morning I really like Pitch Black. http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=4558
  6. VA- Oxycanta (Ultimae) STILL!!! VA- Free Mason Conspiracy (Illuminati Records) --- new dark Australien label!!!! with new tracks from Pondscum and Hefty Output among others... VA- Sakura (Yabai) -- if the Scorb track is worth it. VA- Neverending Story -- (Zaikadelic) for the Ocelot and Kindzadzaika tracks probably VA- PsyStories 2 -- Forgot about this one... waiting for- Abnormal Project- Rules of Ohm (Vertigo)
  7. The only process (haldolium remix) and Fill the Hat is a close runner up... I really haven't listened to any of the more recent Atmos...the older stuff is so good I think I'm afraid I'll be really disappointed...
  8. vol 1 & 5 ...but in the end quite honestly everything that ultimae puts out is good in my book...
  9. I guess you can hear it when I record the vinyl onto my computer....give me a day or two....
  10. I went digging through the archieves to find this....specifically a track called Chab- Tunneling that was released on a label called Plastic Fantastic....but the Anthony Pappa mix cd that this is on is one of my old favorites....deep dark progressive trance... and the tracklisting here -> http://www.discogs.com/release/70420 Its giant, stomping, storming, and raging at 132bpm... that and Oliver Lieb... this another excellent album...tho, i still can't bring myself to listen to it again, as it reminds me of this really bad case of food poisoning i had the first time i heard it....
  11. Ahhh Mubali!!! What a great choice, he is such a nice guy...and makes some really good music ....I would ask him first a bit about the psytrance scene out in san francisco, as they have an ever growing number of producers and labels based there... ...I know he also plays/used to play the viola...so maybe ask him a bit about that... ...and finally, as i know he is headed to new york city for the first time to play a loft party next weekend, maybe ask him about his recent experiences in new york (depending on when you plan to do the interview of course...)
  12. right now for progressive, my picks for 2006 essentials would be... Tegma - Around The World in 80 Minutes and Vibrasphere- Archipelago
  13. Chilled C"Quence- Sense (VA- A Little Lunacy, Ketuh Records)
  14. yes, yes, you do...thats good discovery number one from this past weekend..... .....and there's number two. Other than that, I think this will (and already has) been a good year for US Based Labels (mostly dark) such as Mistress of Evil, Psybertribe, Dharma Kshetra, Tantrumm, Auraquake, Geomagnetic.tv, Dropout......
  15. Immediately coming to mind.... Oculus- A Moment In Time (Floatation Records) Benza- Retrofuturism (Manic Dragon) and for chillout.... VA- Chillogram (Peak) ...but then everyone's definition of organic is different...
  16. For some reason.... Benza- Benza (Demon Tea) and also Reefer Decree- Sound Frames (Iboga) Tho I generally find, that if i take them out to a psy party, they love whatever they are hearing.
  17. Loopus In Fabula- Telekinetic hammo Player (Astrofunk, 2003)
  18. VA- Oxycanta (Ultimae) and Va- Chew on This (Dropout) Need to get these TONIGHT.
  19. Grobal Psychederic Trance indeed! ...but a decent comp nonetheless
