  1. I've ordered many times from Psyshop and I am extremely happy with their service. They are decent, trustworthy people and not once have I ever had a problem with them. Fast, efficient and reliable, cheap too - much cheaper than any commercial cd in town. Radi, shut down your computer and shut up.
  2. CDs for me. Haven't we had this discussion/poll before?
  3. Radio is lame. This isn't.
  4. Well this is the cd I'm burning for a friend, haven't actually passed him the cd yet, when he gets back from uni then I'll give him a copy. http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=41956
  5. Secede + Sending Orbs are definitely on my watch list. Secede has a new CD/vinyl EP titled Vega Libre - coming out this year (fingers crossed) and hopefully a new solo album. Tryshasla is definitely a safe purchase, the artwork is absolutely stunning (like it is for the other SO releases) and the music blew me away first time and still does... I'm definitely thinking of getting some of SO's back catalogue. Otto: Lemodie, I agree is a fantastic album, very melancholic in places - can you recommend similar?
  6. You're in luck, the volume 1 cd seems to be still available from Psyshop. http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/dig/dig1cd004.html
  7. If the music is good, the shipping costs are worth it.
  8. Ochre - 111
  9. You're obsessed with shipping costs! I'm surprised you haven't quoted Play.com yet!!
  10. Sounds cool, looking forward to it. Any other new albums in the pipeline?
  11. Amazon.com has just about their entire discography.
  12. Astralwerks actually... I think Virgin did some reissues.
  13. I use Amazon for my 'other' chillout purchases - FSOL etc, but it's best just to look at a shop's stock and see what they have... I recently signed up with Juno.co.uk to get the new Ochre album, I've bought from small shops, even small online distribution/labels like Sending Orbs... But normally I'll use Psyshop, Saikosounds, Amazon or I'll go down to my local records store on impulse.
  14. I just prelisten on saikosounds and then order from psyshop or saikosounds depending on availability.
  15. Spinning something I wrote yesterday
  16. I downloaded Acid Dreams from the first link no problems... To be honest you've drawn it out far too much, there's no basswork, just sequences and percussion... as I'm listening at around 5 minutes it's building somewhere, BUT it's just too repetitive - the same sequence repeating for 15 minutes is just a bit silly in my opinion. You need to get some sort of bassline in there to thicken it up, even some pads in your breakdowns, try and put as many layers in there as you can... and there's not enough there to last for 15 minutes... I switched it off. Hold my attention! Also I noticed that those samples are from FL itself, try and get some nice free stuff from the internet, there's plenty around.
  17. I can imagine they'll sound a lot different live, so it'll be worth going.
  18. Pretty much all forms of downtempo... psychill, ambient, idm, chillout, dub, etc... And I also like innovative/different psychedelic music.
  19. It is Cinos, we all go through them... in a few more years you might even hate dark ambient, who knows.
  20. Dark/forest psy, just sounds like fullon to me. Not that I don't like fullon when it's done well, just that squeaky noises over a 4/4 kick drum isn't my cup of tea.
  21. It's fantastic. Really good, refreshing even. I love the way he combines classical arrangements and timbres with glitch elements... Wow. Yes, you won't regret this purchase!
  22. Maybe, but that's not the point of Shpongle is it? What other band can you name that successfully fuses all of those styles together in a melting pot of pure psychedelia? Hm? I admit, I'm more fond of other acts now than Shpongle, yes it's overrated but it is not shit, by any sense of the word. Want ambient? Go get ambient. Want folk? Go get folk. Want psytrance? Go get psytrance. Want all these three combined? Go get Shpongle. But I'm not saying anything new here, this thread has come up countless times and all the arguments and counter arguments have been used...
