  1. No: The Gathering: Excellent Classical Mushroom: Very Good B.P Empire: Outstanding CV: Poor Supervisor:Appalling
  2. Oh cool, let me know when you've got them up.
  3. Infected definitely isn't goa, it's pure psytrance (that is up until the vocals started to drift in) perhaps with goa influences... but very psychedelic, different, innovative, powerful... great music. Definitely have to check it out.
  4. Kissing, yeah right. I don't have that poster, pics or stfu.
  5. It's hard, but I go for the B.P Empire album + cd single... I just love their abstractness, how they use many things from musical equipment... really subtle. It's nice. Classical / The Gathering have good cover art but for me they aren't as good. Yes, definitely get your hands on The Gathering, Classical Mushroom, and B.P Empire - they are almost staples of the psytrance scene.
  6. Shame the cd is worthless filth then, eh?
  7. Have you listened to some of the older Infected tracks? Psycho, Blue Muppet, Bust A Move, Dracul etc?
  8. It's definitely a cool cover, that's for sure. We'll see, it might end up in my basket sometime but it's not an essential purchase for now. PNG translations sounds interesting, will check that out too.
  9. I think it's better than both Converting Vegetarians and Supervisor put together, I like it. Though B.P Empire definitely has the best art out of all their releases, no doubt.
  10. I've got pretty much everything from FSOL excluding the stuff around the Accelerator period, Far Out Son of Lung and the Ramblings of a Madman and the Papa New Guinea translations - The tracklist on the Far Out Son of Lung and the Ramblings of a Madman looks like they all feature on ISDN (or are they remixes?) - I don't particularly need it if I have the music already... Amazon.com recommended me 'The Best Of' FSOL... what's the point when I have almost their entire discography?
  11. Hi, Would you be paying for this job? I might be interested if so...
  12. I have to say, I like the cover art. That's probably just about as much as I'll like from this release though... Pity.
  13. Actually, if it weren't for the text, label icon and of course the music, I would actually like that cover. It's not as bad as SOME of the covers I've seen.
  14. Some of them weren't copied and pasted correctly... A full (better) version is located at Newgrounds. http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic.php?id=412168
  15. Me too actually... Have you got the singles too?
  16. I agree with that. Not saying that all of it sucks, just that a lot of it sounds similar to other pieces. Taste is taste, if you're not looking for the 'richness' of those albums you'd probably like more IDM, minimal ambient releases etc. That's not a crime! I definitely think that exploring new styles and genres ultimately is the best thing to do - not limit your music to one genre because you'll ultimately get bored with it - don't be afraid to try a completely new style. Borders, well I don't care for genre barricades to be honest, good music is good music - I know when I write I'm not thinking "right, let's make some post IDM industrial tech ambient dub", just letting the music do the talking and someone else later can classify it if they want... I'm just looking for innovation and new ways of looking at how psychedelic is defined through music - I definitely do want different albums in my collection!!
  17. Yet I count... 9 times you mentioned hallucinogen in your post
  18. There's one thing I'll give Simon credit for - he can write a diverse range of music, something a lot of modern producers cannot do. This guy has been in so many projects, collaborated with so many talented producers, wrote so many different kinds of music that it would be ridiculous to say that he isn't a talented musician. I can understand if you don't like his music, but to dismiss him as a producer is stupid.
  19. I just prefer the original version of People Can Fly, dunno what it is... I do agree that Dancing Galaxy 'epic remix' is better though.
  20. Actually I think most of the Astral ambient is what Pavel described, goa with half the speed - look at Astral's Trust in Trance album, then look at the last track Still Dreaming - it sounds like a crappy slowed down remake of People Can Fly, tacked onto the end of the album like an afterthought.
  21. Damnit, didn't you get her face??
  22. Innovation doesn't have to be like that, perhaps innovation can also be using the elements that you already have and interpreting them differently.
  23. Forget videos man, go to a party. That's where it's really at.
  24. Sounds incredibly hot. Good luck!
