  1. a bit later than late 80's, but "Leftfield" had a huge impact on me.
  2. i was missing a voov-tribe on tribe.net, so i created one. every voov-lover is invited to join. voov.tribe.net
  3. hi, i just downloaded the SouthernSunMix, listening to it now. I like the music, but the sound seems to be a bit flat... (though it's in 192kbps)
  4. i liked to listen to GWAR about twelve years ago. didn't know they still existed...
  5. He is the King of the Dancefloor:
  6. my tips: Magnetrixx - Trittschall Cosmic Tone - Overwhelming Trancefeld - Party Center 800 Antix - Lull edit: some very dark minimal stuff i listened to some years ago ( too dark for me now, but really good): XVKilist man of the last 3rd & dj lando - blow station paps ("2000 hands" is weird stuff) paste (especially "Hihatic") 3 point turn auricular ( i think it's the same as shiva chandra ) necton ( the "beverly hills cop"-cover is amazing!) ticon ("you can have my fraggles" is a great track!) and of course this:
  7. and you haven't ever sold the really bad ones from 5 years ago? p.s.: i also have the feeling that the quality of the releases has dropped, it's just that it crossed my mind, that the feeling could be generated by this effect.
  8. 5 years from now we will only remember the good releases from this year. as we now remember only the good releases from five years ago.
  9. this is because, you can define styles only in retrospective. people who are making music aren't thinking: "ok, let's make another style of (psy-)music." they just make their music, and eventually other people get influenced by this. so, the styles are in a constant flux, and there is no clear borderline between them.
  10. there's no point in disussing this, as mylo said, it's simple: either you get it or you don't, you can't convince anybody by arguments. you have to experience it. if you don't, you don't. no problem. move on, move on... nothing to see here...
  11. i'm devided between: atmos - 2nd brigade soul surfer - surfer's paradise buzzmonks - toms'n'jerry all not on the list
  12. i thought it was "Abraham". anyway, it's all "Techno" to me. ( Or was it "House", "Progressive somethin...", no, wait, i got it... no... lost it again... ) really, it's like sherlokalien said: there is no exact science. i vividly remember this genre-game from my old punk-rock-times. when you had genres like "Metal-Somithing-Fun-Punk-Grunge-Funk-Fusion-Crossover" etc. Funny, but not to be taken too seriously.
  13. not psy, but progressive house (and one of the best there is), plus awesome cover: also not psy, but breakbeats: i really don't know any awesome psy-cover, either it's too "spiritual" or it's too clean...
  14. this mix: http://www.emmamix4u.de.vu/ it's a good one
  15. same with me, but i still love the voov. my tip: sleep at night (night-time is zombie-time), party the daytime on the proggy-floor. for me it was always big fun like that. edit: especially 2003, with d-nox spinning on the proggy-floor sunday afternoon. boy! i laughed my ass off!
  16. i'm just listening to "nirbug". i love it. bittersweet memories (it's the kind of music i heard when i was on parties in india). and great music! i really like, that the trance-scene is in constant evolution, but sometimes i think: those grand-old-tracks are forgotten too fast... thanks for the link...
  17. i once had a quite impressive collection of vinyls of all kinds. about three years ago, on a party i gave them all way for free (to some lucky bastards), because i didn't want to be burdened by owning so many things. i only kept about 20 records (my all time favorites). among them are two records by the tentacles. they truly are amazing. those records are: - strangeitude - pungent effulgent highly recommended!
  18. oops, didn't look at the date i went from here http://www.partyvibe.com/conspiracy/ to the news-side, there it was the first entry... damn new-news. anyhow, what happened there ?
  19. atmos - 2nd brigade though it's starting to wear off, i've been listening to it the last 3 weeks.
