  1. Im sure you'll like this one, Tatsu. Its really melodic and pretty, i just listened to it again in the gym, it turned out really good, except some minor mixing issues, but no real fuck-ups at all. BTW, did you check out that new Humam Blue album? That CD is made for you, you should check it out!
  2. Hi everyone, affter all these techno mixes i did some of my friends asked me to do a trance mix again. since i dont like and dont own a lot of new trancey stuff, i made this mix featuring many old classics and some new stuff. because this mix features so many tracks from different years, i added the year the track was released next to it. i didnt plan it this way, but theres actually at least one track from every year since 1997 in here. I call this mix Raumzeitrandgestalten 1.) Native Radio - Kubus - Medium (2003) 2.) Nubian Mindz - Techno Love - Delsin Records (2008) 3.) Robert Babicz - Don't look back - K2 (2008) 4.) 3. Thanks rino and ringo for your nice words, I really appreciate it To rino, i intended this mix to be laid-back stuff for an afterhour, so i am glad you guys enjoyed it just for that and that it worked. Of course there are some cheese'ish moments, but thats kind of the point. To ringo, there are some other mixes of mine on here, the one called "I am a little birdy..." is kinda like this, and the one dedicated to barry manilow is like this, but faster and trancier. Ill post another mix soon that is mix of my fav. prog. house and prog.psy of the last 10 years, it is over 2 hours long going from old platipus to the latest human blue album. it will be on here soon. Tatsu, what did you think?
  4. isnt triskele a respected management company that handles Colin's stuff, amongst others? I am really surprised they would get their fingers dirty with psynina, of all things... Colin, is this true?
  5. Try this one, Spiritjack - Sensisizer, sounds kinda like it, even though more minimal. http://www.discogs.com/release/123557
  6. awesome ghraph to illustrate the mind-set of most snobby independent music listeners.
  7. Thanks for that overview, Mars! Very interesting trip down memory lane. Its really weird that Children just disappeared from the face of this earth. Maybe hell come back one day to just say hi? But I was here, too, starting 2000 reviewing CDs. I used the name aje back in the day or in the very beginning my old email adress djaje60@hotmail.com. Then I left for a while when all that Bruce and Jakob shit happened, and then I returned 2005 and since then i never really left, even though i dont post nearly as much as i used to in 2005 and 2006. I even got banned once for like 5 hours for pretending to be EP and instigating fights Ever since then i have been a nice boy, though... Keep up the good work, Mars!
  8. First of all, thanks Alleycat To Aliened, if you actually listened to the mix you would have heard that it has absolutely nothing to do with Tiesto and Van Buuren. Technically, all this stuff is filed in the Techno category , except the last few tracks which come from the psyscene. But the goal of this mix was to recreate the vibe of early 90's trance. But anyways, continue listening to Psynina aka some dude pretending to be a girl, didnt you say in some other thread how much you love that CD? All that bubble-gum full-on like Psynina has a lot more in common with Tiesto than this mix, thats for sure...
  9. Thanks rino, thats quite a compliment, cause that just the effect i wanted to achieve with this mix. One long journey into the abyss of the kliks and the klaks, as the name implies. Im glad you enjoyed it
  10. well, extrawelt is on cocoon. ever since titelheld was such a success, they were set to release their album on there. it was actually supposed to come out last year already, but it got moved back to this year. i think titelheld was even one of the best selling cocoons ever, on beatport its on their all time #2 position.
  11. Extrawelt has been signed to release their album on cocoon for a while now, extrawelt will be end of the year, minilogue earlier. so, cocoon is turning into a secret psy label, methinks....
  12. Wow, i have wondering for a while what will happen to the Minilogue album, and I just found out they are now officially signed to Sven Väth Cocoon records! They will have a single coming out soon called Jamaica, and the album will follow later in the year. WOOHOOOOO!!! Official release info: Sometimes, it's still worth not to waste your youth with nonsense but to learn to play an instrument. Like in the case of Sebastian Mullaert, who has learned to play violin, organ and piano, while his partner Marcus Henriksson rather came from Kraftwerk and Human League to electronic music. As Son Kite, the two Swedes have already a well-known name in the psy-trance scene, and as Minilogue, they now start to conquer the Minimal and House world. With their rather unique sound, they manage the tightrope walk between Minimal and Trance and never allow us to put them into a drawer. Especially with their debut on Cocoon Recordings, Minilogue present themselves in a different way, compared to their releases on Traum or Wagon Repair. "Jamaica" is a calm track at the first hearing and is perfect for building up a set. Beginning with bird-like sounds, the track builds up slowly and quickly becomes very interesting and tricky, ramifies as organic as a climbing plant, and when the tribal sound emerges from the underground, this track has exactly what makes Minilogue so special: organic matter and groovy sounds, worked into a minimal labyrinth with very much love for the details. All of that can also be found on the B side which seems to be more adequate for the morning hours, with its somehow spacey sound. With "Jamaica", Mullaert and Henriksson prove that they are floating on the very surface of the endless minimal ocean. And with their album "Animals" being already in sight on Cocoon recordings, one can be highly anxious of what is coming ahead, by Minilogue and Techno Made in Sweden.
  13. Yeah, this mix is minimal in the truest sense of the word. One really has to be into this kinda stuff in order to like it. I think you will like the new one I posted yesterday a lot better. It actually has sounds that go beyond Klik and Klak
  14. Interesting, I have never even really heard of James Zabiela, I understand he is some british proggy guy, so thats not really my scene. About Minilogue, guilty as charged, they are just awesome. They need to be in every mix Have fun at the hard techno night, go get you ears bloody. SCHRAAANZ!!!!
  15. Well, i hope you enjoy it and I'm looking forward to the feedback The afterparty at your house seems like a perfect occasion for it, too. Judging from what I have gathered about your taste on this forum I'm not sure if you will like the 2nd to last track, hahahaha, its a bit over the top, but lets see... BTW, which are those acts that bore you? I'm guessing Minilogue, Popof and D-Nox & Beckers?
  16. Hi, even though I just posted a set 10 days ago here comes another one. I was sick for a couple days, so I had some time on my hands to record this 2 and a half hour long set called "Geschichten aus La-La-Land" ("Stories from La-La-Land"). It kinda reflects the melancholic sick mood I was in and I'm sure the bottle of cough syrup had its tranquilizing effects as well I listened to it quite a bit since I recorded it and I must say it's probably my favorite of the ones I recorded since I got my new equipment last year. It's perfect for learning and reading or just chilling out after a long night of partying. It stays pretty smooth and chilled for 90 minutes, and then it slowly picks up towards trancier and more rocking realms and it ends on Ticon's spectacular 1987. It's a real trip, I hope you all enjoy it as well Geschichten aus La-La-Land Tracklist: 1.) Max Cavalerra - Nostalgia - Karmarouge 2.) Nivek Tsoy - Time & Space - Dessous 3.) Bukador & Fishbeck - Sceada - Traum Schallplatten 4.) Marcus Sur - Rejacked - Highgrade 5.) Walter Ercolino & Daniela Stickroth - The Giant's Sleep (Ripperton Remix) - Meerestief Ltd. 6.) 17. hahaha, you have a psynina track in your mix! I always thought she was a fake...
  18. Im sure you will like this one, Tatsu, it should be right up your alley. It is very melodic and smooth That Britney Spears remix is actually really trippy, so it fits well with the kino oko- All that is left of Britney are weird glitched out choppy voice samples.
  19. Well, I was always aware of Jean Michel Jarre as a kid, i loved oxygene 4 and all that. And that 3000 miles from home track was always my favorite by the Rolling Stones. But I actually only conciously started following electronic music after hearing Mark'Oh - Randy Never stop that feeling... And then I was into stuff like early scooter, Westbam, Dune (Hardcore Vibes!!!! This one is dedicated to all the ravers in the nation). But fairly quickly i progressed into psytrance and the Platipus sound in 95, and then i caught up on all the older frankfurt trance. and then it went from there...
  20. Try alcohol. I find that the more i drink, the more i like my old melodic trance records. I always get very nostalgic when I'm drunk.
  21. Talking about 150 bpm, Scooter - Unity without words part 2 is great, too. This was before HP started talking in their songs.
  22. That track is awesome! I just listened to it the other day. And I agree with the poster above, Terra Ferma is awesome. Every platipus up to catalogue number 40 or so is amazing. The best emotional track from Platipus is probably Terra Ferma - Lunar Sunrise.I wonder what happened to Claudio Giussiani, I havent heard of him since. Another good one is Cosmic Baby - Liebe
  23. Hail Brothers, this is the Imperial Grand Dragon Wizard Assmaster Gay Satanic Hippie of the Klik-Klak-Klan announcing his latest mix to further strengthen the supremacy of the minimal race. All melodies and emotions are expressions of weakness and need to be terminated and lynched and executed! We only tolerate KliK's and Klak's and Plik's and Plok's! He who listens to melodies and harmonies in his music is a weakling whose degenerate ways are undermining the purity of minimal and therefore will be burned at the cross! Join the Klik-Klak-Klan now and say no to putrid melodies and saccharine emotions! 1.) Sid LeRock - Naked (DJ Koze Remix) - Cereal/Killers 2.) Chica & The Folder - Angelus Novus (Ricardo Villalobos Ritus Mix) - Monika Enterprise 3.) Layo & Bushwacka - Life2Live (Loco Dice Remix) - Olmeto Records 4.) Mr. Statik - Japanese Coockoo's Nest (Matt Star Schong Schung Mix) - Stock 5 5.) Sascha Funke - Double Checked (Fritz Zander Remix) - BPitch Control 6.) Rekorder - Rekorder 9.1 - Rekorder 7.) Italoboyz - Zinga (Dramadub) - Get Physical Download now for 74 minutes of minimal supremacy in 192 kpbs.
  24. Well said, Fluffy! Even though my standout track is 1987, but im more into pretty melodies than you anyways. Spitfire is awesome, and i have a weak spot for "in the box", i think that sample is funny "my mouse is pretty cool, it doesnt even have to go to school". Ticon always had a sense of humour. And i would agree, Spitfire is the most techno-friendly on here, with a remix on the flip you could sell it in the techno scene. To Nemo, its really hard to find mixed music parties in germany, except the big summer festivals, and even then they have different floors for each type of music. I guess germans have always been to dogmatic for their own good...
