  1. Yup, these all are amazing tracks, but the one you left out in that progression, track 11 Exoplanet - Floatopia is really great as well, borderline cheesy but I think it is beautiful About "At Les", I can see how someone who knows the original well would like the Hypnotic remix better, the other mix is kinda euphoric that wouldnt go over well with the purists, haha....
  2. Hahaha, hes asking for a really good DJ Mix and everyone is just pushing their own stuff, hahaha...
  3. Hi all, inspired by the generally shitty depressing autumn weather I made this mix the other day designed for sitting at your window staring at the raindrops outside while rembering the happy sunny days that have already passed by. Accordingly there a few classics or remixes of classics sprinkled throughout and the mood is generally floaty, peaceful and melancholic. Enjoy! Link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/pk1g6d Tracklist: 1.) Pariah - Prism - R&S Records 2.) Wisqo - Diya - Celestial Records 3.) Yasuo Sato - Stream Down - Neurotron 4.) 4. I actually kinda got into the Copaerlectrocabana track now as it snuck up on me hidden in random playlists, however now i think it has a certain "Shpongleness" to it. Kinda like Shpongle without all the acid, if that makes any sense, hahaha Be that as it may, I am honered you included a Barry Manilow reference because of me
  5. Nice work kris!! I really enjoyed most of the tracks on here, except the Copaelectrocabana one, which I actually expected to be a remix of Barry Manilows classic, haahaha... Anyways, my favs are Artificial Earth SAtellite, You are on my mind, Shameful Silence 1 and World TRavelling Eclipse Chasers. Sweet!
  6. Yo! I did this mix the other night which I quite like, so I thought I`d post it for all y`all. Even though it moves from tech/housey to trancey territories, it keeps a steady pace of 125-126 bpm and a floaty spaced-out vibe throughout the entire 79 minutes. Kinda like a warm sonic blanket Anways, enjoy! Title: "Aalglatt" Link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1KJ2M0KR Tracklist: 1.) D5 - Intruders - Delsin 2.) Krusseldorf - Cold Sleep Chamber - Iboga 3.) 7. Its awesome, and you have to watch it in 3-D! I liked it so much, I`m gonna watch it again in the IMAX, which will kick even more ass. About the story: Yes, its predictable and kinda like "Dancing with the wolves" in space, but not bad at all, its corniness kinda fits the overwhelming world of Pandora.
  8. Hehe, I remember that track from Ozora that was the last one he played. Calling it cheesy is an understatement, but I at the time I really liked it and I still kinda do... But hey, it`s Talamasca, he makes cheese and he does it extremely well The track is unreleased I`m sure, so you`re gonna have to wait...
  9. Thanks guys! I`m glad you are enjoying it, Heinz definitely is. I think I saw a little smile in his lawnmower face when he heard the mix
  10. I probably would be much further ahead in my career, but a much more boring individual. I used to be very aggressively and egotistically competitve, and without psy and much more so the accompanying drugs I probably would have finished university at age 21 with an A average and be some kind of CEO right now. Through Psy I discovered weed, and with weed the ambition and the competiveness went away, and now I am actually nice and laid back even though i dont even smoke much anymore. So anyways, psy (and drugs) delayed the start of my career by like 6 or 7 years and made less egocentric, more nice and more interesting. So it was a good thing that I ran into this guy from Israel in a record store in 1995 who asked me "Hey, do you know Goa Trance, check out this record here!" Come to think about it, even though I met this guy once for 10 minutes, he probably affected me life morethan others who were good friends for years
  11. Until you saw someone on the dancefloor with Lederhosen, an accordeon and a frog
  12. For years I used to be 100% certain that the lady in Atmos - The only Process says the german words "Marktstrasse, Marktstrasse", until I found out she actually says "Virtualizer". This was a real bummer for me... And when I started going to goa parties at age 15 in 1995, I used to feel really inadequate and uncool because i was nowhere near as "spiritual" and "shanti" like everyone else there, hahaha... I thought everyone with dreads was automatically much more psychedilic than poor little AleX...
  13. You are aware of the fact that soulsurfer and Andromeda is the exact same guy, right? I heard Andromeda at Ozora and he was great there as well Anyways, from what I read here Im glad i went to Ozora, that one was much, much better than what people report here.
  14. So I found out that two of the tracks Jaia played that I didnt know yet aren`t actually Jaia, but his clubby sideproject Kama he does withthis other guy MacGregor. And the good thing, they are released and available on Beatport So, for all those who were there, I think you will recognize these two Kama & MacGregor - Nova Kama & MacGregor - Yellow That Nova track really stuck in my head after his set, i was "singing" it all festival, hahaha, so Im glad I found it, it`s a happy track perfect for walking in the sunshine. The other one is great as well, however they do sound kinda similar...
  15. Yup, Man with no Name - Sugar Rush, an all-time classic!
  16. Dude where were you? Of course he dropped Teleport! In full effect and people went bonkers! But Blue Planet dropped Crystal, that was an absolute higlight for me, when that middle part kicked in, I think i lost my mind. But Jaia was fucking amazing at Ozora, I still have all the tracks in my head. BTW, if i knew you were there we should have met, i was the one wearing Lederhosen, hahaha BTW, Hallucinogen was fucking boring...
  17. So I heard Jaia play at the Ozora, and the new album will be SPECTACULAR!!! One of the best, if not the best performance at the festival. I was very impressed. And he played that track again, the one i was asking about earlier, even though not as the last track this time. Anyways, I cant wait for the new album
  18. I hate to be bumping up my own mixes, but this one is probably my favorite I have done so far (and the most trancey and melodic), yet it has been downloaded by far the least. In a flash of shameless self promotion, CHECK IT OUT, THIS MIX IS AWESOME (except that one shitty transition towards the end...)
  19. Haha, I have similar experiences on a much smaller scale. I started sending DJ mixes to a mailing list of friends, and I posted them in my FB account and on here and Isra. All of them were downloaded around 100 times, except one which was downloaded 200 times (the one i explicitly labeled cheesy, hahaha). Anyways, after the first mix I got 30 responses intotal (Email, FB, and sites), after the second 15, after the third 5, and now it ranges between 0 and 3. Mind you, still the exact same number of downloads per mix. The funny thing was, for a while i stopped doing mixes, and whenever I met someone from my list, they were like "Hey, where is the next mix, dont be so lazy. I listen to them all the time!!!". Or I would drive in the car of a friend of a friend who is not on the mailing list and he would be playing my mix, because it has been passed around to all kinds of people. Yet, after the first 3 mixes, I never heard a word of feedback from anyone. Then, after all these people complained and told me me to start sending mixes again I did, expecting joyous screams of "Finally a new mix!". The result: No responses at all. Anyways, my point is this: Its human nature! When given something for free, people will take ownership of it and take it for granted. Take it away from them, they will scream. Its just the way it is
  20. Thanks Slater for checking! Thats very nice of you to go through all this effort for me Too bad it will only come out end of 2010, thats a long time for a track to be released, the first time I heard it was at VuuV 2005 or 2006! Anyways, I`m excited about Jaias set at Ozora this year, maybe hell play it again
  21. Hi all, I present you the first mix in the history of mankind dedicated to a lawnmower robot The honored lawnmower robot is Heinz, and he does his work in my parents backyard. Everyday at 11am and 5 pm he leaves his little hut for one hour and drives around the garden in a seemingly chaotic pattern. Strangely enough, this little warrior manages to mow every spot on the lawn at least once every 3 or 4 days and the lawn looks so perfect that some visitors have asked my parents if the grass is fake. Watching Heinz do his thing inspired me to record this mix in his honour. It is supposed to reflect his stoic and hypnotic personality, but also show the warm and gentle soul that lies beneath the sharp edges of his blades. The music therefore is what I would call deep trance, and it is not just an assortment of the newest music, but a journey through 14 tracks that will touch his little lawnmower robot heart Heinz, little fellow, this one is for you: "Hypno-Heinz": http://www.sendspace.com/file/t03yg1 Tracklist: 1. Paul Brtschitsch - Sugar - Rootknox Music 2. Holger Zilske - Roter Rausch - Playhouse 3. Claude von Stroke - Who`s afraid of Detroit - Dirtybird 4. Einmusik - Atl Antis - Einmusika Recordings 5. Alexi Delano - Atol (Hardfloor Remix) - Harthouse 6. Johnjon & Chopstick - Birds (Afrilounge Liapin Remix) - Dirt Crew 7. Motorcitysoul - Space Katzle (Jerome Sydenham Remix) - Aus Music 8. Prime Suspect - Attraction (Extrawelt Remix) - Nachtstrom Schallplatten 9. Atmos - Ride the Flow - Spiral Trax 10. Antix - Box of Birds - Iboga 11. Perfect Stranger - W - Iboga 12. Union Jack - Papillion - Platipus 13. Chris Zippel - As Possible (Mick Rubin Remix) - Electrolux 14. Ada & Raz O`Hara - Lovestoned - Kompakt Facts: 79 mins, 192 kbps, 125-126 bpm
  22. No, its not one of those songs. The one I am talking about is best described as epic with a hauntinmg melody, almost more like very tasteful "normal trance" than prog. psy.
