  1. I seriously doubt its his daughter, cause hes a black man from america, so i figure his daughter is a black woman from america, and the voice in the track sounds like a white woman from england.
  2. Ok, here goes my top ten, you got me in the mood: 1. Ame - Rej - Sonar Kollektiv Around 8 months ago I noticed this track in every top 10 around, and I always wondered why. Now i know why. Outstanding! 2. Ludovic Vendi - Hectorine (Alland Biallo Mix) - Gourmet very psy-trancy minimal with a great funky subbassy groove and melodies, SCORE! 3. Steadycam - Kidney Issues - K2 The wobbliest beat of all wobbly beats. It sounds like falling into the K-Hole when you're on speed, if that makes any sense. 4. Sebastien Thibaud - He's on my mind - Scandium KKIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLARRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHH BASSLINE! On good headphones it will tear your brain apart, while still providing the right smooth framework of warm sounds. 5. Hiem - Zomby Party (Konrad Black Mix) - Crosstown Rebels Funky marching minimal, perfect for taking walks. 6. Dominik Eulberg - Der Buchdrucker/Björn Borkenkäfer - Traum Very nice 12" from Eulberg, cant decide which side I like better. Minimal Trance/Techno with great love for details. 7. Nass - Nass 2 - Teile It appears Teile is the Ravey sublabel of Firm, which makes sense since TEile is the german slang for "Pills". Anyways, this track sounds like a very deep, smooth, yet also firm MDMA flash deep in the night. AWESOME! 8.Martinez & Paper - Underwater - Galaktika Martinez together with Pablo bolivar, takes the raw edge of Martinez sound and makes it smoother. definitely sounds very underwater 9. Petersky - Fuck them all (MOS REmix) - Sprout A Robot with tourettes syndrome! YES!!!!! 10. Matthew Johnson - Decompression - Minus Ive been listening to this on a lot again lately, probably one of the best tracks of all time.
  3. thats a cool top ten, thats looks like a set i'd wanna dance to! i gotta check out the first two, i havent heard them yet.
  4. I saw this on Isratrance posted by bakke: "Sorry that I havent replyed before about this.. yes its now official that Spiral Trax is no more.. sad story but Anti had no other choice.. there will be an article in Mushroom Mag about this.. I will post an official version here soon. My comp will be out on another label, but its not decided yet, same goes for Atmos. ACDC will be reborn as "High Voltage Music" and continue to release high quality 12".. but I see no future for Spiral Trax as it is now.. recordbuisness is hard these days.. Any questions please dont hesitate to contact me here.. my spiraltrax email is down at the moment but will hopefully be up soon. " SO, SO SAD!!!
  5. No, he from Denmark. Hes the one from the label Out of Orbit. If thats the one whose your buddy, tell him the Gay Satanic Hippie liek his music and think its awesome!
  6. If you could hear the music I compose in my head on a daily basis, you would bow down and pray to me
  7. I dont doubt for one second that this is great dancefloor music, but its not more than that. Other FREq releases were both, great for the dancefloor and great exciting music. Anyways, just dug up that thread from a while ago where I praised the Avatar track, and you talked about two even better Freq tracks, dreamscape and Globe. What happened to them? About D-Nox and Beckers, of course they dont have the copyright to electro house, Im actually kinda sick of their "trademark" sound as well, I just used them as an example.
  8. so, will it get released or what is happening to spiral trax? dont be so secretive
  9. Sometimes i think you are claivoyant, Ace Ventura. have you tried working as a medium?
  10. I heard the album is co-produced by barry manilow, it a mixture of full-on and crooning.
  11. 1. Brazil (Brush Mix) (8:25) 2. Space Noodle (6:44) 3. Silent Circuits (10:05) 4. Byte Me (7:50) 5. Stone Shaker (9:52) 6. Beatstreet (8:27) 7. What A Feeling? (6:38) 8. Singularity Part II (4:39) 9. Aisha (6:34) I have three letters for this release: WTF???????? WHO PUT DROP IN YOUR BRAIN??? As you can probably figure out by now, Im pretty disappointed. Ever since I first layed ears on this release, I'm asking myself what happened to FREq. Is this the same person who wrote "Short Life Again", "Return to the Masters", the "All Seasons" Remix, and last but not least the most excellent "Avatar" from the Labyrinth compilation? Unfortunately yes, even though most of this record sounds as if a 15 year old teenager from Tel Aviv sat in the studio reminding Mr. Gallagher constantly "This too slow, need more sounds, make faster and more kiilllaaaaarghhhhhhhh!!!!" In other words, while FREq's typical fat sounds and tight production clearly shine through, most of these tracks (1-5) are a sorry attempt to cater to the Full-On crowd, Full-Gressive probably would be a fitting word . IMHO, they lack the depth and punch that is usually typical of Freq, and the sounds and synths, while being really awesome on their own, dont really move me at all. Superficial is the word, I guess. And the basslines, usually FREq's strength, get downright obnoxious, especially on track 5. Track 6 is a whole other matter. Here FREq tries to jump on the Electro-house bandwagon, and it just doesnt work. This track is just really awkard and plain out wrong, D-Nox and Beckers would probably roll around in their graves if they were dead. But they are not, so there no need to try to copy them. Its just a track the world doesnt really need. Now we get to the part of the album that I like. Track 7 is very euphoric and Euro-Trancey, but contrary to the track before it just works. Awesome synths and sounds, fat punching bassline this for sure will get any sun-drenched dancefloor going. Track 8 is a housey pleasant groover, but its also very plain and pale. Definitely not bad. Track 9 is a chill-out track, and its very good. FREq really builds some beautiful dreamy soundscapes with some nice twisted sounds. OK, what I dont get is, how come a track like Avatar, IMHO the essence of Prog. PsyTrance, if an alien comes down and asks me "Show me progressive Psytrance" I would show this track, and I heard it played at a million parties, only gets released as a mixed version on the Labyrinth Compilation, while these tracks are released on the Album? WHY WHY WHY???? I already said it before and I will say it again, FREq is always best when hes slow and grooving, and quite frankly I dont know anyone who prefers his faster stuff. Oh well, enough bitching, Im gonna go listen to his old stuff and drown in my geriatric nostalgia.
  12. no, it worked on my colleaugues computer as well, and he listens to heavy metal, im sure he didnt visiti spiral trax himself. but now its gone, i really do hope spiraltrax didnt go under. its like THE minimal/progressive goa label where it all started! that would imho the saddest lAbel bust of all
  13. before lunch i accesed it even from my colleaugues computer, but now after lunch i cant access it anymore
  14. i went to the website, and it opens like it should, atmos both albums coming soon as well as bakkes comp, just like it has been for the last 3 or 4 months. so whats the problem?
  15. If one notices a constant pattern over the course of many releases and many years, one should take notice.
  16. FREq album sucks major donkey balls
  17. You didnt ask my questions But still, Moni, did they come up across a little "light in the loafers"? What does your Gaydar say?
  18. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Shakespeare, Goethe, Schiller, GSH, I come from a long heritage of excellent poets and lyricists.
  19. Once there was a man called Praecox, he liked to have sex with three Cox, one in his hand, one in his mouth, and one cock went straight down south. "Yeeehaawwww", he screamed, "this shit is Loco" "now push harder, Mr. Kino Oko" Push harder he did, until he quit, but poor Praecox moaned "Ouch, now I cant sit!" - Gay Satanic Hippie, 2006
  20. Im going to London with for a company meeting this weekend, otherwise this party sounds very cool, i have yet to see wighnomy brotzhers spin. and yes, that sasse track is somewhat misterious--
  21. I feel like making another top ten, not like anyone cares, but still, here we go: 1. Elektrochemie - Don't Go - Get Physical Probably one of the best tracks released this year, I love how it creeps up from below and and takes you away. Hypnotic, pumping and just plain cool. Even better than Pleasure Seeker, methinks. The combination of Elektrochemie and Get Physical is like a match made in heaven, everything he has released on that label is absolute Gold! 2. Minilogue - Leopard/Seconds - Traum Minilogue at its best, I dont know which track I prefer, but if there is such a thing as a "velvet audion cushion", Leopard would be it. Like a synaestetic sound picture symphony, or something like that. 3. Robert Babicz - Cloud Painter - Out of Orbit Robert Babicz aka Rob Acid has been releasing some phenomal stuff lately, especially the unique analogueish thick grooves add a distinct flavour to his tracks, this one goes a little bit trancier than the rest. Like everything on Out of Orbit, amazing!! the other tracks on the EP kick-ass as well, especially Little Moon. 4. Wighnomy Brothers - Moppal Kiff - Freude am Tanzen Typical Wighnomy grooves, dry yet pumping, cool use of drums and drumrolls to create general weirdness, and a scorching siren sound to top it all off. The B-side Dukktus is awesome as well, if not better. 5. Lo Soul - Cut So Sweet - Playhouse At first it bored me to death, but then after listening to it "while doing stuff", it really got to me. So inncent and simple, but somehow beautiful and touching. Afterhour music deluxe! 6. Freq - Avatar - Labyrinth Comp. My fav. Freq track, its only in the Labyrinth compilation (mixed unfortunately). 100% Freq, enough said. Prog. Psy done to utmost perfection. 7. Oxia - Domino - Speicher Even though this track is acomplete Rip-Off from "Chardronnet-Eve by Day", i like it better than the "original". I love the weird skipping beat, it sounds so wiggly and weird, its very hard to describe it. The euphoric key changes do the rest. 8. Sasse - Soul Sounds (Dirt Crew Mix) This is old, I dont even know the label, but Fluffy has it on Vynil and I downloaded it. I guess most people recognize this track, it was a real big hit here in Germany, with the laser-like orchestra hits etc... Great track. 9. Dettmann & Klock - Dawning - Ostgut Tonträger Another very subtle one that grew on me, imagine aliens landing in a quiet forest with elves dancing around the UFO. I actually heard it being played out at parties, and there it somehow develops amazing energy in the crowds. One of these tracks that if dropped at just right time, will blow everything apart. 10. Johannes Heil - Aquarius - Klang Under water music, literally. Listen to it on headphones, and you'll feel like you are diving in a deep dark ocean. Not really music to dance to, but muscle relaxers and valium come to mind. As usual Mr. Heils sound production is top notch unbeatably amazing. As a Bonus, GSH's favorite Album right now: SCSI 9 - The Line of Nine - Kompakt The perfect Home Listening Album, slow yet groovy, somewhat trancey in a way, works on the couch as well as on the floor methinks. I listen to it a lot when I read or go to sleep, always makes me happy. If you want you can post your own top ten, or maybe not. Over and Out.
