  1. Everything started sounding quite generic around 2010 for me and not that much has changed however every now and again I find great stuff to keep me amused. In the past couple of days Celestial Intelligence and Lunatica live at Universo 2020 piques my interest.
  2. Went to some cool parties with these dudes around 98/99/2000 in Japan. Absolute carnage when they played, have never see a dance floor go totally mental quite like they did and I haven't seen any other artist do that since. They really suited the Japanese mentality at that time for psy trance. Never dug their music when they left TIP around 2000 though but their catalogue from Chaos lab through to Growly family was pretty cool. . RIP dude for the great times.
  3. Time slices, now there is a track. RIP bro.
  4. Wav always if you have enough storage space then FLAC. Never never MP3.
  5. Jesus I would have got my arse down to Overdream and seen the real psy culture in Japan.
  6. Also found the Tim Shuldt number I was looking for. When this was played the party was ON. Awesome synths.
  7. Also Mental poison and two brains and secure the orbs Pretty good comp of some of their old stuff
  8. Melogic was wicked as well
  9. Did some killer tracks at the beginning of their career. Two standouts for me were Shadow of the beast (still to this day a melodic monster) Psychedelic Pollution- (on the Flow comp Change). Any favorites from you ?
  10. Anybody mention Tim Shuldt ? He did some classics nobody has been able to replicate. Pretty Poison, The next, Pacemaker come to mind. Early Logic Bomb was always great too.
  11. Love it. Thing with Sphongle is that you need multiple listens before it grows on you. Just put on shuffle play while doing the dishes.
  12. Some of you must have been a round awhile and probably now have kids. My daughters are now 15 and 13 and I have been playing psytrance with them since they were born. They detest it with a passion (even though I am playing every day somewhere -car, kitchen, lounge etc). My daughter will always turn it off when she walks past and put on her Taylor Swift or whatever. I have tried to get her into chillout-Solar fields,, Sphongle, Abakus or whatever but no such luck. I showed her the video of Melting Point at Ozora (fantastic video if you haven't seen it) and I said would you like to go and she said NO! I feel a bit deflated lol. Do your kids like EDM or psytrance or chillout?
  13. Looks like you had a great time. Psychedelics are there, I think you have to go to a few parties first and suss a few oddballl charahcters out (not Japanese). Usually Israellis
  14. Yup, great CD. Used to see him play in Tokyo and became quite good friends with him. Haven't heard from him in years but yes great cd. This mix is ridiculous His rmxs of X Dream about 1.57 are stupendous and you can download in wav . Fantatstic!
  15. Love Steve Roche,Steve Moore, Harold Budd, Michael Stearns. Can anybody recommend others like these guys please with cd recommendations. Brian Eno's cd reflections is also very good. If you can also recommend some free CD downloads that would be even better. cheers
  16. I used to score my musshies from Conscious dreams in Ogikubo. Mad times back then. Anyway some things not psy trance-war museum at yasikuni jinja was wicked, Meiji jingu and rocknroll dancers by HArjuku bridge was a standout Dance of shiva is on this weekend if you can get there. I reckon that would be a standout party.
  17. Nice old party in Japan. Was a great place to party. Probably still is.
  18. Japan had a thriving psy scene (prob the best in the world) up until about 2005 all because a lot of psychedelics were completely legal Check out the facebook link lol https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=102045386515153&set=a.102045136515178.2082.100001290752503&type=3&theater They also have a festival culture and a not so smart police force (never saw the cops anytime in 3 years)
