  1. I forgot to mention that I strongly dislike Talpa, nothing he's done has grabbed me in any way. I don't even find ti that "trippy".
  2. I'm gonna add Terrafractyl to this, one of about twenty or so artists currently making music that has a full on bassline yet still succeeds in producing truly psychedelic trance. He's some sort of wizard.
  3. It's gotta be something by Ominus! Hallucinogenic Hyperdive maybe, they're all twisted acidic "Mind Benders".
  4. Agreed, the remix of Astral Warrior is sick, one of my top tunes.
  5. Psygone is very underrated! I forgot about the artist Witchcraft, very rare music, but all of it quality!
  6. Yeahh Toi Doi is really underrated, the intensity of Technologic was insane, such an amazing blend of styles.
  7. I hope this thread takes off Pretty self-explanatory: My first one is Hunab Ku. The album Magick Universe isn't talked about nearly enough, it is absolutely beautiful, definetly up there with Trust in Trance, Alien Protein etc, (I wont go so far as to equal it with I.F.O, but there you go). It sounds a bit old but I think that's what he was going for, truly keeping the oldschool spirit alive with his tremendous ability with melodies. Secondly, Masaray. This is really old stuff but just great. Time Traveller of Trance as well as Cosmic Trancer are my favourites. Really dramatic, indian influenced, primtive but intelligent Goa trance. If you haven't heard it, get on it! And lastly a lesser known group called Gangnia. "It Came From the 4th Dimension" is a gem that blew me away when I heard it. Very acidic, very eery, pounding, pumping and surprising Old School. Listening to the album all the way through is an experience, and i don't think enough people did that but only heard songs on compilations, so Gangnia didn't get the recognition they deserve. Right, give me yours!
  8. Yeahh that sky technology one is great! Really intimidating and dramatic.
  9. Thank you! Always loved Into the 4th Dimension.
  10. I really can't get into Filteria, god i've tried but I just can't. It's not even prejudice against newschool because I love Space Elves, Khetzal, Astrancer etc. It's actually annoying to read the reviews and not be able to tap into it! I don't like a lot of newer stuff, went off Astrix a long time ago and just can't hack Infected Mushroom. Oh, I HATE 1200 mics.
  11. Miranda - Steps to the Stars! It's not THE best but out of what I can remember just this moment it's up there. Very deep and penetrating kick.
  12. I was only a toddler when the old school greats were playing D: ; so the best act i've see so far is Loose Connection, it's glitchy beepy dark psy which i can get into sometimes, anyway, that night it reaaaally hit the spot!
  13. I actually like a lot of ace ventura's stuff. The Light was remixed by zen mechanics and it's absolutely class ; Rebirth is more subdued but i can appreciate the subtleties and clean melodies. The kick does get a bit wearing and i doubt i'll be listening to it ten years from now but the guy's good at what he does.
  14. http://www.ektoplazm.com/2009/hypnagog-dreaming-in-pieces-ep Hypnagog - Dreaming in Pieces, it was released in November '09 so not exactly in the range you're looking for but honestly give it a go. It's Terrafractyl's downtempo stuff, really twizzly, atmospheric and just generally groovy! Very unique stuff.
  15. For me there are three standout tracks that just scream epic: Man With No Name - Teleport This is an obvious choice and for good reason, i'm guaranteed chills down my spine and watery eyes when I listen to this. Simply incredible. California Sunshine - Voice of God This one always clicked with me, the album's very backwards for 2003, but for someone who loves goa in hindsight, i.e didnt experience the evolution into psy and wasn't dissapointed with older sounding releases, this is a beautiful melodic anthem, a voyage! Chi A.D - Astral Warrior The samples give me chills, the deep resonating bass gives such an atmosphere and those screaming acid lines keep my brain ticking over to the end. The remix is tasty too!
  16. Some kind of fish headed super hero surfing a plume of smoke? Weird.
  17. The Widdler has some tunes bordering on psychedelic, check him out. I think it'll be difficult to find a lot of psychedelic dubstep though, by virtue of being dubstep it's an in your face and very unsubtle genre, unlike goa and some psy that takes a bit of getting into to really understand.
  18. Really nice track! Lovely amount of layers and a bit deeper and more driving than a lot of "sunshiney" neogoa (which i still enjoy immensely). I appreciated the listen!
  19. I'm not a huge fan of dubstep, especially the newer stuff, although i've heard a bit at parties that went down nicely. Where I am they regularly combine dubstep and psytrance nights and the variety is pretty cool. Anyway, this is my favourite track:
