  1. Atmos - Bad 2 The Bone man, that's a damn good one
  2. awww, I already wondered if that CD in your avatar was yours ... seems like it is Oh horror ... if that would happen to me...
  3. LOL ... what have you guys been smokin'? The ordering system at Wirikuta is perfect - at least for me I never had problems ... I think we should form an assembly line ... only one psynews member at a time may order from Wirikuta Seriously, though ... after this expensive Saikosounds excess of mine (you remember that thread, do you?) I looked around and also found that Wirikuta is quite a good shop (it didn't have most of the releases I ordered from Saikosounds though, so I didn't bite my ass ). They're in my country, they ship fast, they're reliable ... and indeed, they still got some gems in stock that you don't find in other major online shops anymore! A small but quite fine business here in Austria it is ... I therefore suggest to include Wirikuta in the list of good psy music shops And by the way, while we are at it, is there any other psy music shop apart from those mentioned three that is worth for people to check out - I mean, not just labels that sell their things, but a real shop that has loads of releases?
  4. Saiko Pod - Phutures And Options ... the 2xLP version ... finally And in addition to that I also got Chris Pointdexter - Tribal Thing EP Beat Bizarre - Pop The Question/Swallow EP V/A - FX 2xLP and Junk - Wildlife/Latin Girl EP I'm happy now
  5. tell us when you know more...
  6. gosh, yeah, you're right ... Bitmonx did only the remix ... the credit for the track title goes indeed to SBK! my bad... indeed, it means morning boner
  7. Today I ordered a bunch of vinyls at Wirikuta ("end of semester reward order", you know ). They won't be here until the end of the week though - and even that would be early... But the right to post here I have, because I got a big lot of metal and dark ambient tapes today ... Falkenbach, Summoning, Mortiis and lots more At least I got some stuff to listen to until my vinyl shipment arrives
  8. haha Defolder - Arschbiss is kinda in the same vein ... and it even is a plausible word. Bitmonx - Morgenlatte is also a nice one (for the ones that know what a morgenlatte is ) and I remember Domestic - Radioactive Kinder Bueno, priceless! and Sonus - Reisefieber or Shiva Chandra - Schaukelstuhl or Auricular - Pilzvergiftung and Auricular - Gradwanderung, nice titles too I also like Atmos - Qualität Im Quadrat, because this track title is the old ad slogan of Ritter Sport chocolate! The new slogan is "Quadratisch. Praktisch. Gut." and I find it not very good compared to the old one. I once saw a Ritter Sport in a shelf with still the old slogan on it (despite being a fresh pack ... it was not old and rotten, so obviously the designers just forgot to adapt the slogan on that one) - "Qualität Im Quadrat" - and I HAD to buy it because I had to think of Atmos and finally knew where this track title came from ... he obviously bought a Ritter Sport chocolate as he was in germany once (maybe there where he recorded that "Marktstraße" sample in Berlin?) and then just took the slogan on it for a trackname, funny Magnetrixx have some cool track titles too...
  9. That sounds very nice! I'm curious...
  10. *hums the tune* ... "dummm - dummm-dummm-dummm..." yeah, Air Song is nice ... chilled, relaxed and warm But if you expect something along the lines of Air Song and then Levitate grabs you by the balls and lets you sit there with eyes and mouth wide open ... it's completely different. Uncomparable. This can't be Solar Fields. Yet it is. Amazing!
  11. I just yesterday discovered what a great track from Solar Fields the guys from Ultimae have put on Fahrenheit Project Part Six! Levitate! This piece is so damn amazing ... the sample hit me like a point blank shot straight in the face! I had to immediately get that track, otherwise I wouldn't sleep at night. INCREDIBLE! This baby is so different from all that I knew from Solar Fields before. It's absolutely amazing ... a driving piece with wonderful epic and sheer beautiful synthesizer melodies ... I have all three albums except "Extended" and I have never encountered any soundscapes quite like these on them! Solar Fields always meant chilled ambient frequencies to me (except a few pieces, like "Infection 268-7") ... and in the beginning one could even mean what would be coming would be traditional Solar Fields style, (although the tension is building that ones hairs become punkies) ... but if you expect all ambient with this one it will grab you by the balls! Incredible! INCREDIBLE! This was something I really didn't expect! I hope Magnus will have some sounds like that on his next album and this is not just a one-time-experiment... ... anybody else has heard it?
  12. SBK - Mitleid Express First, the title is arsing the title "midnight express", which is a film title as well as the title of (more than) one trance track. Second, the word is just so genious. Me and my friends, we know some girls who were almost always ... like, down and sexually frustrated. Kinda, you know? You know. And every time we met them it was like always having to hear their laments. And once I said to my friends before we met them girls: "naaah, dudes, I don't wanna play Mitleid Express again!" ... and from that point we actually use Mitleid Express as a term for situations like that, where you have to hear somebody's laments about him being down, desperate, sexually frustrated and that blah blah when you actually don't wanna hear it. Mitleid Express. I bet Sebastian had experienced that kind of stuff too, so he named the track like that. Genious
  13. how about if somebody gives us some tracks to prelisten, then we could finally bury the topic ( ... that even fits to the title )
  14. yeah, right, come on, you owe us that after we gave you so much feedback on your images!
  15. oops... anyway, here is something NEW - a link to their forum! http://www.freeforum101.com/forum/index.ph...m=electronicbug
  16. BTW ... did you know that Cannibal Holocaust is a splatter film? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannibal_Holocaust
  17. You know ... the german word "Klan" is neutral. It meens clan. It doesn't imply any ideology. There's a band called Korpiklaani which means Waldklan (woodclan). They have the word "Klan" in it and their music has nothing to do at all with any certain ideoligies (yeah, go check it out please, do it, I want you to check it out, it's good! ). I just want to say that in this case a neutral word (in english it's maybe not that neutral, since the word clan is written with "c", so with a k it could mean something, that's right, but still) is getting a meaning that it shouldn't have. I mean, ok, with the term KlanMusik I kinda understand that it refers to ku-klux ideologies ... but not with the word Klan per se ... and I also find it wrong that just with the term KlanMusik a whole ideology is attached to it, that's not right, but that's what those bands are doing because in front of the authorities they an say "oh, it's neutral, it has no meaning" ... these bastards... Holocaust can't be misunderstood, there is only one Holocaust. But Klan... meh... Anyway, you, Cannibal Holocaust dude ... your logo with the sign of the national symbol of the jews and the word "Holocaust" over it, that's really not very good, you know. No matter what your music is like (yes, I want samples too! GIVE ME!).
  18. What's wrong with the word "Klan"?
  19. Retro topic! Cool Before trance I was listening to radio and such stuff. I remember that show that was called "Austria Top 40" ... I listened to that every friday ... gosh, that is already ancient... From that time I remember Dune - Million Miles Away From Home ... and Robert Miles - Children ... those were my favourite songs on a chart sampler CD I had gotten back then ... I never bought another chart sampler because the CDs were sooo expensive for me, I couldn't afford. The sampler has been a present for finishing a semester or so. At that time I had just 3 or 4 CDs for more than a year long, I couldn't afford any others and I was listening to those four until death... But then, after a year or more or so, it changed. I borrowed a trance CD from a friend of mine back then. And that was the start. ... Disco Citizens - Footprint ('97 Revamp) was probably one of the first tunes that really got me into trance. I also remember liking Paragliders - Oasis and Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar... and The Visions Of Shiva - How Much Can You Take I also was a big fan of DJ Quicksilver back then ... Free, Planet Love, I Have A Dream,... And Talla 2XLC! I also liked Talla a lot back then. And Taucher. Over time trance got more popular and I also got to own some CDs because me and my friends, we discovered these CD fares where the discs were sold in used condition, but pretty cheap ... I finally started to collect because these used ones were something I could afford. A peculiar tune along the road was Chicane - Saltwater ... it got totally stuck in my head because it was played so much on the radio here. My gosh, back then NRJ still broadcasted trance ... now they are already rnb almost as far as I can think back. Man, time moves fast. Talla vs. Taucher - Together '99 I remember too from that time. I then later discovered the online scene and started downloading ... tunes from that time were DJ Tiesto - Urban Train and much other trance in that vein ... PvD, AvB ... and Mauro Picotto, I was a great Picotto fan back then. That was then also my first time I was going to a clubbing as he came to Vienna... And yeah, not even a year later I discovered goa. It was through Astral Projection that I got hooked. Dancing Galaxy, People Can Fly ... yeah. And then there came Koxbox and Saikopod - my first live gig I attended. And I instantly got hooked on that sound. About that time I also must have found here and asked my first questions already
  20. If they want to arse black metal with that name (and picture) and their music is good I think it's funny. but if they're not doing anything special the name's just attention-whoring around...
  21. I know Texas Magnusson It's good, about on the same level of "good" as the Darkness remix ... but I don't seem to be that much of a sucker for an effective melodic hook... (hmmm, this is actaully interesting ... what am I a sucker for, musically? I don't really know ) Hmmm ... not uninteresting, those recommendations ... I'm prelistening right now on Beatport and I must say some of the stuff I find there does not sound bad - like Llopis - Back In The Days or Snake Sedrick - Find Me or Thomas Penton - Deeper Vowels (NOT the andre absolut remix!) ... it seems like I have to dig around more in the progressive house category since I like that type of sound a lot... The Echölab EP is not bad either, especially the Junk remix...
  22. "Bayo" ... checking out right now ... it's good, also the Playmaker dub (that is even better than the original)! I guess I'll check out that Playmaker project then... The Darkness remix is the best Ticon according to you? I don't know so much from Ticon, but there's stuff from them that I like better ... Some Simple Sounds for example...
  23. You mean the Tribal Thing/Tuf Tuf/Tiger Inside vinyl, huh? I checked samples of that ... I like the sound of Tribal Thing best ... is the piece worth getting? I like the original version of Darkness better than the Ticon remix because the Ticon remix is too trancy and sounds too stressed to me, you know ... the original has a sort of deeper progression and clubby feeling to it, which is what I like so much in that song and which is not present in the remix...
  24. aw, come on nobody here knows Chris Pointdexter? damn where shall I ask then?
  25. I own this track already for some time, but only recently I discovered again how good it actually is! (And I mean the original, the Ticon remix is not as good.) I love this nice moderate but steady progression and the club feeling that it has to it... Is there anything similar out there? Where can I find such stuff? Is this already beyond the traditional psy scene?
