  1. Hey. You are not late. I am I admit having already a few thoughts about this though. We really have come a long way, baby. Thank you for the Fatboy Slim reference I could ramble on about the licensing price and the meaning of money, but that is not the point ... I didn't know it was already 2x $40 per year. Huge thanks for paying our license, Fabien. I completely understand the will NOT to pay the $200. In fact I'd also understand the wish not to pay anything anymore, in fact Server upkeep costs enough already! Not doing anything will probably awake the nostalgia in Bruce and others and they may take us down again, I am quite sure, sooner or later, if we just stick our heads in the clouds. MAYBE the best solution is to migrate forum software. Migrating the database and content is wishful on my side, but I would even understand if you make a cut and make all the InVision stuff ReadOnly. I would be happy to move away from InVision! I LOVED this forum back then as I became admin - then the love slowly diminished after the last major upgrade - but nowadays it turned to dislike: I can't find functions, it's buggy and I have given up, honestly. It all has become a chore with this software. I am going to venture my research capacities into forum softwares and database migrations... If you really wanna do it the hard way you can also just install a different software and we will later find a way to migrate content ... AI will help. Or maybe hallucinate the content. (On an honest note, why not do this: a Psynews AI. Fed with ALL the content that Psynews ever produced and then some, because it would be allowed to hallucinate. I think that would be rad. I need more knowledge to build this though. Will get back on this.)
  2. Got called here by a spambot reply which I removed But I use this to share an update: this project is not that active anymore right now ... I have tried to revive these "Tunesdays" - it was little avail and my Banano Budget is getting a bit less, so I don't shill them out as I used to - but that doesn't mean I don't. However, the "trend" is slowly pointing away from that "crypto meme culture", at least it's thinning out in my world ... so you can guess the trajectory. I do even appreciate that this new trend didn't catch on much here - spares me some backtracking. After all, it taught me the lesson to be more selective with projects and to rather reduce and concentrate on core interests, than expand. Might write a post about this some days later. Bottom line: I rather invest more time in posting here than shilling out more on JungleTV, even though I like that project... cheers
  3. [Disclaimer: the text below is subject to change, I will remove this as soon as I am totally sure with the text ... the only thing certain here is our third album: Metaphoric.] Skeletone · Skeletone - "Metaph0rik" - complete album It's finally here: the third installment of Skeletone - the project of a friend of mine and me! We have come an incredible long way, experienced a lot of things, in life and in music ... going back in time from false copyright strikes and building a studio, over birth of a child and building a house, up to tearing down a house and losing the very grip on life itself ... yet we managed to stay chill and sane in our sound and built our skills. It took a long time to finish, some tracks were lying around for an extended time ... and even Soundcloud itself had its voice in shaping the outcome - funny story I will gladly share, here and in other discussions about the future of music and creativity... Anyway: free music, enjoy! And watch out for more news, maybe coming at a later time. (Boy I wanted to get this out badly since days - waiting for a good date ... I think 20251222 is a good number ) cheers
  4. After all these years I can say, that all things I took away from the COVID crisis are concentrated in this video: cheers
  5. Yes - and this is precisely what I might be using it for, at least to experiment ... if anytime we or I happen to come up with a cool thing like this one from you, I'll get back on it (ps: if you want to know how our best shot on a remix, check my sig - without stem separation, we used an official Remix Kit)
  6. Sincere thanks - Cubase 15 will be our solution as we are native on Cubase. I say "we" because your info was so good, I actually opened this thread in the studio to show my friend ... It's a true gamechanger.
  7. I never heard of stem separation, read about it now ... so this thing really unmixes a complete track and separates it back into individual layers? Does it work with standard mp3s? Sounds extremely interesting...
  8. my bad, I completely forgot to give you the "Thread EXHUMED" award on this 21 YEARS
  9. Nice! Can I ask how you did it? Did you get the project files or did you remix it by sampling or re-creating the sounds (because I hear differences that are definitely not sound sampled to my ears)... I was always keen to remix stuff, but I figured it's impossible without the files (would have to be a Cubase Project in my case) - and even people who I asked to remix us always asked for the project files.
  10. I also have always found Amen to be a very good album! I understood why it was not the biggest favourite of the oldschool lover, but to me it appealed. This though ... well, I really like it. It's very good compared to the rest of the sound reaching my ears nowadays. I am so happy that they finally released something, after such a long time ... and it's good, presentable, I can play this to other people. I'm not even asking for any more, need no quantum leaps, just happy to be here and enjoy something new from Astral Projection after all those years once again Can it be that it's mastered for a certain setting? Such as playing in the car ... lots of people nowadays do that: mastering for car audio ... and be attentive when listening in YOUR car: in newer cars the audio sounds way different than in older ones ... I can say this out of my own experience: I've been having the luck of driving new pool cars (Cupra, company I work for has them), the audio in there is much more sharp and edgy and very different to my own car (which is like 15 years old) - in there it's much warmer, mellower even though you listen to the same songs. If you ever get the chance to listen to this in a car ... new or old ... give it a try and maybe that is it?
  11. Oh boy, I have happily overlooked that thread, not believing ... because, face it, since when are we waiting? Tell me otherwise, it feels almost like 20 years of wait! But now it really is out and I am on the first spin of a few tracks, liking it a lot. I'm not going to open all of this package at once ... I don't believe we will get another one soon It feels so good to read here! From the announcement to release comments, the banter about the mastering ... love you all ... love that we have made it here, all the ones that did. After all I've been though lately this feels super super good, I tell you that, balm on my soul Himalaya is a very good track.
  12. Well look at what the cool people out there dug out years later ... I just figured I'd share this with you: Anybody remembers Nemo? I was not super close to him or anything, but one thing I'll never forget what he said about a musician who was yet to become (and now is) one of my biggest favourites. "Anthony Rother's way to make music is one of a kind." .... probably not the exact quote, but that's what I remember. Many, many, many years later I was about to find out what Nemo meant by that --- when I found the answer in an interview that Rother gave himself. Well, he was right: Rother makes and listens to music in a very unique way... Nemo knew that before me. Enjoy the mix R.i.P. Nemo <3
  13. Well, you can watch for free without engaging anytime. Obtaining a Banano Wallet is easy too, just get the Kalium app or go to thebananostand.com But if you wanna take part, also in the earnings, then the only tricky part is to set your validator - in your wallet - you need to do that when registering on JTV. (Every single unit of these Banano is a vote that you need to assign to a validator, this is part of how they find consensus in the network. It's a currency and a vote at the same time.)
  14. ... back and nailed it with Ticon - Mirage starting to play at precisely 21:00 local time ... (by the minute at least ... not bragging but you have to be very lucky to get that right, queue wasn't empty) ... it is as predicted that my videos are inertwined with other enqueued stuff, but that's just the game we play with this community-open space - all good ... will stay up with this project every last tuesday of the month if you are open for new things, Banano is a great thing to learn this "cryptocurrency" stuff and how it really works - that is because it has not the greatest of value and therefore you can afford to make mistakes, which you will inevitably make ... it's honestly mind-blowing if you understand it, a little scary even. The data is always there, worldwide and if you have the key you can do something with that data, no matter where you are ... so even if you are stranded naked in a foreign country and remember the key it's all still available. The money you use is just coloured paper that a bunch of people assign value
