Well ugh, I haven't really heard much of anything mentioned, so wasn't refering to furious or anyone specifically. Just pointing out.

Just because something is dark doesn't mean its darkpsy. Darkpsy has it's own set of sounds/rules to a certain extent. The gathering is certainly very dark for instance but its far before darkpsy's sound and therefore doesn't have any of the hallmarks of it and isn't darkpsy at all. Theres no reason why a psy album can't be dark without sounding like the other darkpsy around atm either.

Goa head actually had some very great stuff on it though.

It's not bad.

Progressive= music that sortof chugs along, elements are introduced less fast (although they might be chosen more intelligently to make up for it) and has a slightly slower bpm and is generally uplifting Morning=Music thats light and melodic and uplifting. Full on=Music thats fairly focused on energy and is the faster varient apart from darkpsy Morning full on=morning stuff thats got full on influences and is too fast (in tempo, energy and musical complexity) to be progressive?

Yes, and their not really selling anything too crap non psy wise, so no problem.

Anything made during or after about 97 doesn't seem to feel dated, and I have a feeling that number won't change much. We'll see in 5 years time

While on paper it has simpler beats, the main thing is with a faster tempo the sounds are shorter and have slower release (hip hop/downbeat has big boomey kicks that take ages to release). So yeh, theres certainly plenty of complicated breaks. and drum n bass is different moods etc to breaks.
