  1. They aren't suggesting your a murderer. They are suggesting you want to set up a murder conspiracy. Now it comes down to it... I wouldn't mind setting up a good conspiracy. How much for George bush is an alien and killed Jesus (apparently they plant evidence so that'll be good).
  2. Just rediscovered this album... it's great! I used to think that def by delta was the only decent tracks on this album. Turns out it's full of them! Send in send back is just a masterpiece!
  3. I meant psytrance that is in the 140+ BPM range but isn't full on. And I said psycho trance because that's the feeling a lot of fullon tries to provoke. I have no idea what that discogs release is btw and that isn't what I was refering to.
  4. Can't say I recognise any of the psytrance people either.
  5. Was one of the worse tracks on Distance to Goa 1 IMO.
  6. Auf Sieben Sitar? Well not sure what Auf is but sieben is 7 and sitar is obvious. Will check out some time in the future.
  7. Ok guys got quite a few mixes now... so since my links keep expiring this will be the thread where you post "link dead" or general comments on stuff. Please post individual reviews of mixes or "dling now" comments to the individual mix. Note that the title links to the Specific mixes thread and the word links to the set download location BTW I've got the links to the TA mixes in the names because it's pretty easy to find the Psynews threads here and you guys might be interested in seeing more comments outside this forum. 8. I'd say electronic music is more about structure then anything. Theres plenty of rock stuff that is most defenitly rock that has synths in it (Someone mentioned tangerine dream). I think I might check out Tangerine dream... I'm a huge dimension 5 fan and from a few listens Dimension 5 looks like a very much reformed version of it. Any comments about their best albums or eras etc?
  9. File avaliable for limited time but now deleted?
  10. Usually melodic morning psy. Seriously check out this fucking classic tune: Fucking music-Electro sun So warm and uplifting melodies. Ironicly I usually listen to more relaxing stuff later in the day (and more uplifting stuff in the morning).
  11. nono your other mixes are great that's why i'm looking forward to a decent ambient mix.
  12. lol Downloading now... downloaded another ambient mix earlier from here... was a bit dissapointed with a lot of poor quality tracks and it descended into reggae Looking forward to this.
  13. Since we're on the topic of ambient here... been really digging Vibrasphere selected downbeats (vol 1.) Anyone know if any of the above artists are like that? Or if not could someone possibly recomend some. Ice flows is nice and all... but that's not really what I'm looking for more the other tracks. In particular buenos Aires is just brilliant.
  14. Well fullon psy is more like psycho trance anyway... and not sure about history... but morning psy etc seems like it came from fullon (or fastish psy) at one point. So it's all very nice... but it's not psychedelic. I mean it's better then regular trance... but in the same way breakbeat is. I mean I know infected mushroom are the psytrance poster child... but really tbh their stuff sounds more Goa. Twisted certainly sounds like a very early form of psytrance though. TBH only truely psychedelic trance I've heard post 2002 is probably Electric Universe-Acidance and that album had retro vibes all over it anyway.
  15. Anyway nevermind that... I was reading another thread on another forum about comparisons of Mixed in key rapid evo and something else. The mixed in key maker kept argueing that songs that were in minors were actually in majors. Goes to show he probably can't write an algorithm to detect the right answer if he doesn't know what it actually is!
  16. [/url] This is an older video... but his newer ones are just as retarded. "I notice after 2 bars the vocals come in" Yeh like any song has that that knows anything about music theory. *Note picture may be from a different video and deliberately taken several times until I got a pic that made him look like a stoner Although these videos were pretty lol [Edit] a video he made last week he now knows what phrases/bars are... a little worrying it took that long though.
  17. The DJ tutor aka Ellaskins is a DJ who has 962 videos on youtube and his own website and forums for helping DJs. Although his videos are interesting to watch... when the only things that I allready new proved him wrong or I majorly disagreed with his opinion it's a bit worrying about the other things that he's said that I didn't know. Top of the list would be -He thinks a bar is a phrase... ("the melody will change with a new bar" or similar) as well as him actually counting phrases as if they were bars -He also confuses beats with bars -He's a youtube fanboi... I mean really some of the stuff he's requested videos for are just too detailed for the low quality youtube codec -Also leading on from the latter... he thinks 10 minute mixes are sufficiant to showcase a DJ... well sure you don't want to hear 2 hours... but 10 minutes? Comon you need at least 25-30 What do you guys think of the factual (and opinions) he's expressed? I'm a little cautious about accepting advice from his videos now. BTW... let's start a Psynews video tutorial thread(I.E. made by psynewsers)!
  18. I decided to do that since RE has it inbuilt. If you read the above post it infers that I had a method of keying tracks.
  19. I've just started using Rapid Evolution instead of Mixed in key 2.5(for keying tunes). Goddamn is mixed in key wrong a lot. It seems to get every minor song mixed up with the notes major (C minor it thinks is C major). At least when RE is wrong it's very hard for me to pick as well. I now realise how foolish I was using a program that consistently keyed tunes wrong BTW does: Moog-Euromotor go into 3A later after the break (6B previously)? Oh yes and is Next stop oblivion-Z to A 10A or 1B?
  20. Well at least they aren't making nu rap metal like IM.
  21. Currently I have no surviving copies of the original (well maybe if I looked really hard I could find it on CD somewhere...) but anyway... as I did with week two I'm gonna redo the mixing for this (obviously using the original tracklist and BPM/mixing notes). Will post again then (BTW Week 5 aired friday).
  22. Wow... how'd you get Vox? He's certainly a rather big name.
  23. Erm? lol @ what you qouted Anyway let me say again: DJs get more attention because no one cares about the name of the producers because they don't buy music. They only hear music in clubs played by DJs.
  24. Well actually I don't get why psytrance producers get payed so much. FFS they're just pressing a few random buttons and making stupid noises. It's not that hard to program in stuff on a midi keyboard or whatevargh. Now actually being able to play music... that's another story. That's all I read m.r. Jaded because he doesn't get enough recognition. Yes of course the scene relies on the producer a lot more then the DJ and it's more important that there are killer tracks in the first place. However this is an electronic scene... so it's mainly the DJs that buy the music (I believe some people here said psy is actually the other way round so this is going to be in general) so no one gives a shit about infected mushroom or whatevargh because they aren't going to be buying the music anyway... they just want to know what the DJs name is so they know if they go next time it'll guarantee them a good time. Short version: Mainly DJs buy music, therefore no one gives a shit about the music, only the DJ that's playing. Whether you concider painting a more skillfull and subtle artwork then photography they are still both subtle forms of artworks. Although going along with offtopic: Yes Tiesto sucks... and theres plenty of great unknown DJs and your renown isn't allways a good indicator of your skill.
  25. The ones it does work in you get a big timer (like 3 hours) when you download something. Sendspace is often temporarily unavaliable for the free service too as well as slow download speed. In short: Both suck Use filefront or something else.
