  1. Well it'd be interesting if everything of duvdevs keeps getting stolen after he sells out more.
  2. Goa Trance labels seem to be pretty consistent. Anything off twisted or Suntrip records for example is pretty good. Psynews also has a review section (if you buy a cd... note what people said in the reviews... if some people said "too minimal" and you don't think that then maybe see other cds where thats the only bad thing they said). Look for things labels recomend (things on the label), people recomend (they have given good reviews for) and artists you like recomend (they might remix them or have collabed with them). Also compilation albums are very much the way to goa... distance to goa 1-5, goa head 1-8 destination goa 1&2, Tantrance etc...
  3. Do you own 2 copies of every cd? Burning your own cds makes it easier to organise them... also if you lose your cd wallet they are just burnt copies. Also you can't mix a track from the same cd into another track from that cd if using cdjs. Where did I mention not owning cds? Also discs can get scratched so its best if its not the originals. Why am I a dick? Keys in general are pretty random.. so I wouldn't worry about that. Listen to samples from the cd... also reviews will probably hint at the BPM. Sometimes stuff has the BPM written up at discogs as well. I expect a response to this because this has to be one of the stupidest posts I've ever seen at psynews.
  4. Please explain to me how pirating is like stealing or bad in anyway DIRECTLY. People not buying stuff is seperate.
  5. Spam? :wank: :wank:
  6. 1. Do you download music from the web? Any kind of music. How much? How often? Plenty... usually at least 2 gigs or so a month... +a lot of sets from forums 2. Do you download specifically Psytrance releases? Yes, if at all possible I like to try before I buy (192kbps isn't the whole thing!) 3. Do you think that downloading (and any other forms of piracy) really hurt the music industry? Yes it hurts the music industry a lot. The pop music industry... thats why the POP moguls try to shut it down so much. People are hearing other... (better) genres and thats bad for business. 4. Do you think that downloading (and any other forms of piracy) really hurt the Psytrance industry? Yes, however indirectly. Remember people downloading doesn't hurt anyone... its NOT BUYING. I myself and a lot of other people will allways like to have the cd however. I think it'd be great if a lot of the rarer stuff was avaliable in wav download... collecters will still collect... however more people get to hear. There are some idiots who are like 128kbps or wav... I can't tell the difference and they never buy cds. They probably will eventually though. 5. Would you like a world that every new album/comp would be released only in the web? No, see above... some people like cds I got into psy from torrenting IM stuff(and then psytrance comps and eventually goa trance comps)... suffice as to say
  7. The starting list isn't very good... Electric universe stardiver? I don't think so personally... especially concidering One Love was far more psychedelic and that isn't up there. Wheres the psychedelic tracks on stardiver Ok alien encounter part 2 and maybe from the heart... however most of the other ones aren't... and the two that are (astral way and sunset skyline) aren't really long enough.
  8. Well i meant there is not really an (reasonably cheap) option of buying them.
  9. Well you burn you own cds... thats the answer
  10. Well new toons aren't exactly popping up at beatport
  11. WOW!!! Lots of free stuff.. GREAT free stuff! And they are releasing some of the sequences! Looking forward to the remixes!
  12. Your an idiot /ends involvement in thread
  13. Because I can't be bothered qouting it "you must have no self respect" That wasn't about music at all was it? And did you even listen to the last track? Yes its cheap but at least there were seperate (and still good) versions of the songs (at least of the songs that were good anyway)... so that suggests they might actually be a good live act. Seriously dude I'll say it again... you lack comprehension AND your getting pissed off over an opinion.
  14. Can't? Can't??? Do you know what can't means. It means you cannot... which is a factual statement. Your opinion on how good art is, is not factual fail Also... Shpongle would probably imo be quite a lot less interesting without Raja Rams work on it. Guess who is also a member of 1200 mics? I find it very lol that you are so offended by the comparison when they are close to each other in sound(to a limited extent) and member composition. I'm sorry but my artistic tastes don't have much to do with respect for myself. If I mentioned popularity you might say otherwise... however I didn't. Magic numbers is a 6/10 album imo (some very bad and some very good tracks) and 1200 mics the time machine is imo a 9/10 album. I can understand why you hate magic numbers... however the time machine? Why aren't you slagging off anyone in the time machine review thread who said they liked it cos its fun. Needless to say you have no credibility in genre naming! Your ambient mix contains only downbeat and reggae. There is only word to describe you abasio and that is jaded. For me a 7 track album with 3 incredibly bad tracks that are 80s remixes but 4 great tracks is an album that only has 4 tracks.
  15. not about drugs AND bad behavoir again your post lacks comprehension... although that interview is really dumb.
  16. Well its psytrance but not full on, morning or dark... like sun projects stuff etc Thats nice that you think that... don't get pissed at me because my taste is different. I stand by my comments... Magic numbers was a reasonable album with a few great tracks... and The time machine was a great album with quite a few great tracks. I fail to see how it's full on? You might call it crap/whatever but it sure as hell isn't full on that sounds like everything else. Full on does not equal crap... you'll have to find out that this crap is apparently in another psytrance genre I'm sorry. I'm sorry you don't like it... I think most tracks on Hallucinogen-Twisted except the opening are average too. And what do you mean its like comparing shpongle to "this dog shit" it is comparing shpongle to "this dog shite" your so enraged you lack comprehension. maybe because I live in Australia and wasn't online at the time [EDIT] Need I link to this thread http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21707
  17. Listening to The time machine atm... this stuff is great! Seriously you guys should check out that album... Listening to magic numbers again... wtf do you hate about it? Sure the thunderstruck track was lame... but the opening track and the others tracks are great. Sure its perhaps the least solid thing I've ever heard but its sure as hell really crazy. I've never really been a big hallucinogen fan... and I must say this is defenitly on par with shpongle... except you might actually put it in a set. This is just as innovative as infecteds latest album or the latest shpongle album. Just 1 of them is excellent... one is good and one is ok. Comon guys at least its not full on. Although time machine was definitly much better! Great album that. Sure theres some crappy tracks on the album but comon... Raja Ram is just brilliant... and there are some really really nice as well as unique tracks on every 1200 mics album.
  18. Downloading... sorry would have dled earlier but been busy.
  19. I have to say this is the epitomy of useless psynews threads.
  20. How about they must be a downbeat song on an album? Get a BPM counting program! No reason why you shouldn't use downbeat tracks off downbeat albums or that downbeat track in the middle of the ablum. I'd also highly suggest you do it in a mix. Get a program like traktor 3 or similar... be far more interesting if everyone can hear... also be interesting to have some themed psynews dj competitions. Also don't forget the difference between ambient and downbeat.
  21. If something is popular enough to be voted in the top 5... it'll be popular enough for people to notice its not downbeat. However lets set a BPM limit! 50% of the tracks must be at or below xxx bpm? I suggest 130/135 btw probably not going to vote personally.
  22. 300 cds isn't huge? I have like 3
  23. I'd also highly recomend Electric Universe-One love.... looks very rare from discogs prices but still a great release allmost as good Dimension 5-Transdimentional with its own charm. Defenitly a must own cd... I'm currently listening to a 128kbps version of it and attempting to get the cash together to actually buy a copy.
  24. Hmm interesting... like some of the stuff allready on the list you mentioned there lu blu... might check out the rest.
