Track Aminate FX Vs. Alysium – Hypnotic Goa Life from VA - Goa Trance Vol 3 (1998) also known as Sphinx & Joking – Goa System from VA - Goa Trance Vol 2 (1998) Both tracks were written by Ingmar Veeck. He has dozens of projects under different names and released music on T.R.N.C. compilations. Here’s some info from Discogs: It might give the impression that his output is comparable to the kind of low-effort knockoffs produced by The Asylum, a studio known for piggybacking on popular film franchises. But that’s not really the case — every now and then, Ingmar Veeck comes up with genuine gems. The two tracks below are proof of that. In fact, the tracks are essentially identical — it’s the same piece released under different names. The label churned out so many aliases and titles that they eventually got completely tangled up in them themselves. For me, this is one of my all-time favorite Goa trance tracks. The melody is incredibly catchy and really sticks in your head 🙂 The track is instantly recognizable as soon as you hear it. The problem with many modern tracks is that they’re just not memorable at all. Aminate FX Vs. Alysium – Hypnotic Goa Life (1998) Sphinx & Joking – Goa System (1998)

lololol Believe me, I was not expecting to get to listen to it early and was very nervous about how I was gonna feel about it. It really hit the right notes for me that morning and while I do like Rue overall as a singer, I am very glad this has a mix of new voices and stuff without vocals too. 😃 -
Both tracks written by Gilbert Thévenet aka Martin Cooper. Orion In Maroc (2001) is a remix of Orion (1997) Red Aum — Orion (1997) | length 08:44 Asia 2001 — Orion In Maroc (2001) | length 09:32

Kitrinos started following Why do some Israeli artists seem overdefensive about their country

So many years have passed, but there is no light in the horizon . Re-reading the comments, I have to completely agree with Arronax. What makes me hopeless is that the majority of the people from Israel (including those in the psychedelic scene) still have the same attitude. They either don't realise or don't care that the state of which they are citizens is a variation of nazism/fascism. The state of Isreal was built by and is run by Zionists: their modus operandi is settler-colonialism, land theft, terrorism and ethnic cleansing. What also saddens me is the general apathy of EU leaders. In case anyone reads this thread, have a look below if you have the time. More timely than ever.

YES Khetzal's latest album is the antidote for those of us who are starting to find the Goa tracks they listen to sounding samey. So many huge melodies! The soft synths are soothing to the ears even as the music remains energetic. It is like a magical fairytale turned into music. -
Wow ok, thanks for letting me know! Gotta take a peek. My biggest issue was the loudness on streaming platforms.

Well, things are escalating even more now. Ra - To Sirius is such a fine example of the cosmic tapping to humankind.

Kind of interesting to look back on these comments nearly 21 years later. So much great music had been made in the years that followed, but also so many arguably did lose their way, and so much of psytrance is ALL about that loud kick and bass. We have access today to far more music than we could ever properly listen to and AI will flood us with more and more with scarcely any human creativity. Yet still, there are gems when you listen out for them. Bandcamp link: https://themusesrapt.bandcamp.com/album/you-betamixes I love The Muses Rapt but I tend to agree, they went WAY overboard with that kick! Especially considering how beautifully mellow and chilled out the music would be otherwise. Ah well, it's still great music!

To upgrade or not to upgrade to Invision v5 (and the future of Psynews)
acid being replied to mars's topic in Psynews.ORG
I dont know much about it at this stage but here they suggest the length can be set to whatever you like in a Javascript file: https://www.reddit.com/r/Mastodon/comments/zyd34j/discussion_of_mastodons_character_limit_and/ and they mention some forks that support long posts by default. They were discussing it here: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/7973 and a code change years ago added a Read More kind of button by default for long stuff: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/8205 About it being niche, I guess the big concern is 15 years from now will it still be getting regular security updates? As it is open source at least the codebase shouldn't be going away. Regarding it having fewer users than some of the other platforms, as long as psynews.org takes you to the Mastodon instance and as long as it is easy for people to sign up, I would've thought it should be as good or better than what we have, but as I say, I have not really used Mastodon myself yet beyond just reading a few posts. There are recent posts about Goa trance, not many under the #goatrance tag but maybe us being on there would help to grow what is already there? https://mastodon.online/tags/goatrance -
