  2. Thanks for the response! Well, there are so many other genres I've heard in many different Psytrance tracks that are not on the website and that I would love to see there (hence why my message got edited to add more of them before I reloaded the page and saw your response... though I forgot to add Mizrahi Music / Muzika Mizrahit, which is a pretty frequent influence in Nitzhonot 😛) I messaged someone on Facebook (from my personal account...), not sure if it was you or not but I recognized the surname from psychill.space... ah, and of course I don't know how to contact people from my artist page unless they message me first x) Does my DM suffice or should I make a post to mention psychill.space on my artist page?

  4. If you have an official account on any social media, it would be best if you shared the website on it and/or sent a message from that profile to Psychill Space's profile. If not, you can for example send an email from an email thats visible ie. on bandcamp, etc.
  5. Hi there! An idea for a "suggest a missing genre" button recently came into my head, I just didn't have enough time to implement it. For each subgenre I will need to dive in a little bit more and consider whether it's different enough to be noticed by an average person, and whether there's enough music in it to justify adding a hybrid genre (rather than just setting the sliders to 50% genre X and 50% genre Y). For example zenonesque is just an umbrella term for anything that sounds like from zenon records, for which we already have bush progressive and dark progressive and a combination of these two will cover basically 90% of these releases. Remaining 10% would be probably just psy-techno. So, some of the genres you mentioned I was already planning on adding, the rest, like swamp psytrance - I would have to look into and have some research first
  6. Oh, and another question! How do I prove that I indeed am Azétris? Should I give a private link to my music or does just declaring that I'm this obscure artist that no one knows suffice?
  7. In my quest to become the biggest Psytrance genre nerd in the multiverse, I just found out the "Bushprog" genre Apparently, it's related to the sound of the people of the Zenon label from Australia Now here's the thing: I know of a genre that we call "zenonesque" on a website named "Rateyourmusic": Zenonesque genre description on Rateyourmusic dot com ... but look at the aliases. No mention of Bushprog! So uh... is it the same thing as what Rateyourmusic describes as "Zenonesque"? (If yes, I need to fix the huuuuge and universe-destroying mistake of omitting this mention on there!) Does anyone on here know what "Bushprog" it?
  8. Hey, thanks for this website! This is a great idea! However, I have a question: how do new genres get added on there? I realised the lack of "Nitzhonot" and "Nitzhogoa" will be an issue when I'll submit music in these genres... I'm also not sure I saw "Psycore" and "Swamp Psy", but I may be mistaken Edit: Psy-related genre I know that are not on there - Flashcore(not Psytrance, but a sound design technique associated with Psycore and sometimes Hi-Tech as well) - Nitzhogoa - Nitzhonot - Psybounce (not well-defined though, and very mainstream, so most users of that website probably hate it anyways lol) - Psycore - Psystyle / Hardpsy (Hardstyle + Psytrance fusion, it's more associated with the Hardstyle community than the Psytrance community though) - Swamp Psytrance (Forest subgenre) - Greek Uplifting Trance(no official name (usually just named "Uplifting Trance", though that name is confusing because "Epic Trance" is also often called "Uplifting Trance"), lost its Psytrance influences, but emerged from Nitzhonot and is welcomed in Nitzhonot spaces, even those filled with Goa Tranceheads) It may (or may not) also be pertinent to add Tribe / Mental / Acidcore-related genres, since at least in France, Psytrance people usually are Tribe / Mental / Acidcore people first and foremost (but often also make or listen to more internationally Psytrance-y music like Goa Trance) I know a bit of EBM-Darkpsy genre fusions as well Lol sorry, my aggressive passion for music genres got triggered, hope that's not *too* overwhelming for you 😭
  9. Listen to both tracks back to back. Am I the only one hearing the similarity? It really feels like both artists were drawing from the same references. What exactly, I have no idea Space Tribe — Tantra Mantra (1996) Tristan — Close Zen Counters (1996)

  11. Hey everyone, I have been working for some time on a website dedicated to psychedelic/underground music & community. Sometimes I feel most of my friends stay on Facebook just because there is no better place to find parties, but I feel the facebook event system is really underwhelming. I wanted to give them a reason to finally move on from that website, and so there it is. Psychill Space allows you to browse or add your own indoor parties, festivals and other events. They can be then filtered by genres, proximity, the artist profiles are clickable, and if an artist plays at an event - it will be displayed on their page as well. If it looks good to you, promote your event on Psychill Space for free.

  13. Hey everyone, I'd like to share with you my recent creation - Psychill Space. It's a community-curated music database. You can filter tracks and albums by their genres, moods and tags. And you can submit your own music. The incredible advantage of the website is that we let users profile the music for genres and subgenres, moods and tags, which leads to accurate recommendations. We don't host any music (besides optional 30-90s previews), we only collect data and provide links to bandcamp and streaming platforms. Browse music and submit yours at https://psychill.space/

  18. From family roots to cosmic frequencies, welcome to KER’s new Resident DJ: Tantramantra! As a genuine PLUR loving cassette, vinyl and currently digi. diskjockey with roots from Ukraine and Poland to his homeland Russia, tantramantra channels psychedelic soundscapes that transcend borders and geopolitics. Raised in a musical family, with a father who was a multi-instrumentalist orchestral musician and an older sister who graduated from music school, he grew up understanding both the beauty and the struggle of the musician’s path. Today a devoted father, husband, and home builder, he has maintained a lifelong connection to psychedelic culture. Together with his wife, he has shared unforgettable dancefloor moments, including dancing to legends like Koxbox during the 35th anniversary celebration of Hilltop (Goa) in 2018. This mix is his pure KER session. https://www.mixcloud.com/XXPSY/tantramantra-resident-ker-dj-02/ Tracklist: 1. Gubbology – Onset 2. 19. Let me also share this one from the same EP. Infinite Power is an amazing track but this one is even better and, I mean, it's just insane, it keeps adding more and more elements from different sources until the final silence, with beautiful voices that transform into the singing by the end of the track. 20. Got called here by a spambot reply which I removed But I use this to share an update: this project is not that active anymore right now ... I have tried to revive these "Tunesdays" - it was little avail and my Banano Budget is getting a bit less, so I don't shill them out as I used to - but that doesn't mean I don't. However, the "trend" is slowly pointing away from that "crypto meme culture", at least it's thinning out in my world ... so you can guess the trajectory. I do even appreciate that this new trend didn't catch on much here - spares me some backtracking. After all, it taught me the lesson to be more selective with projects and to rather reduce and concentrate on core interests, than expand. Might write a post about this some days later. Bottom line: I rather invest more time in posting here than shilling out more on JungleTV, even though I like that project... cheers

  23. Hello all psychonauts, I have spent a lot of time recently working on a new website. psychill.space is a music database and social platform focused on psychedelic and electronic music. Psychill, psytrance, psybass, psybreaks, ambient, experimental, downtempo, IDM and everything in between. What's there right now: 🎵 Music database - artists, releases, labels from across the scene. We're also mapping music into an interactive map! 📰 Blog - music reviews, monthly new music digests, deep dives into the underground 👥 Social features - a live chat, and a feed you can filter to show only people you follow. Discover artists, follow labels, explore at your own pace. No algorithm pushing things at you. Still growing, but already plenty to explore. Would love to hear what people think - especially if you're deep in any of these scenes. Join us at https://psychill.space/
  24. Lol, the prices on discogs. There is one for €300 also, if you are interested. The median price is €60, so I don't think anybody have paid that much, yet. I got mine for a little more than €40. Still a lot for a record I won't play much, but I like it. =))
  25. That crap sells 200€ on Discogs 😆
  26. I've been checking the Pleiadians' 30 Years release a few times now. The Family of Light disc you should already know. Then there's the 1998 studio rehearsal tape where things get interesting. For convenience, the tracks are (including the DL-only first track): Modulation Merope Alcyone Asterope Headspin & Taygeta Rotating Fields Electra Lunar Civilization Vimana For some historical context (correct me if I'm wrong), there were no official Etnica releases between Plastic 12" (March 1997) and Equator (March 1999). Fluorophilia was briefly promoted but didn't happen. Meanwhile, there was Pleiadians' IFO in July 1997 and Headspin 12" in June 1998 so it makes sense that this was primarily a "Pleiadians year" with touring under that name. Also note that Family of Light was only released in October 1999, after Equator, so despite this release's bundling, FoL wasn't exactly a coming-very-soon thing in 1998 yet. Therefore the set it still largely about IFO. So what do we have here? 4½ IFO tracks and the remaining ½ from a single that eventually ended up on FoL. Modulation "was conceived specifically to be played during the Total Eclipse Party in Venezuela which took place February 98", according to the FoL notes. Lunar Civilization and Vimana are "guest tracks" we already heard in the Etnica Live in Athens 1996 set, finishing that too but flipped. Then there's Rotating Fields, only semi-released on that shoddy 2001 Etnica mp3 compilation (and later elsewhere), but reportedly Maurizio's solo track from 1998. Were there any specific Pleiadians vs Etnica plans for that? I don't know. And the music? Well, I'd say the versions are slightly toned down from the in-your-face power of IFO. For example Electra becomes quite eerie with so many things left out from it or altered. Also Lunar Civilization may be the "softest" of the many released versions out there, the loud main riff barely appearing. The whole thing kind of feels like the total mayhem era tracks were played in Equator style or something like that. But it's a different take and I like it that way. Was this a review? Well, more like a background check and some first thoughts. But I'll be listening again while pondering the full context.
