your own software? damn. i used Reaktor once, that thing talamasca used for years when you actually can create small software synths within the software - i thought that was really confusing.. but you didnt stop there, you programmed your own ? impressive.

more liquid dnb like this please

this is awesome aswell, didnt know it was hospital records although thats dubstep and drumstep so not really what im looking for. For me the first track I chose, is true melancholy, so thats at least, my definition. the Future Bound track the hypnotic monotomism is that of the second track, Loadstar - Flight. epic drumwork on that one. Ill find another to further make clear what it is that i seek .. although Im a music consumer for real, so I dont only need creme de la creme tracks - but im picky too, dont want tracks that are just okay, gotta be epics feint again, this is just redicolously good. 00:54 epicness.... feint again, further definition on the sadness I seek -

oceanic and falling for you will go straight into my collection. And Ill probably check out alot more from these guys and perhaps try and find some VA from the labels. very nice suggestions so far. Although the darkness and melancholy you chose were indeed dark and could be considered just what the doctor ordered, but I would like something perhaps not 'evil' but still dark. Like, more emo than dark maybe. So if you have a few more suggestions, but perhaps try another style of melancholy, a more 'emo' verison also, a final request would be more hypnotic and monotome tracks - tracks with too much chord progression tend to sound to happy. still I do enjoy the large percentage of the tracks youve suggested so im already satisfied as youve given me some great ones already, and new artists and labels to go check out. thanks bro -
huh, first i didnt know you were into producing, but for the record, im into it. This is interesting. Ill be frank, yes it sounds a tad amateur, but there is real possibilty here. nice kickdrum, interesting sounds and FX, pretty interesting keys and melodies, bassline leaves a little to be wanting - so does the under developed hihats and percussion. Ill stay away from using a snare drum at every second kick - might sound too cheesy then. But I welcome the snare, just perhaps not the usual disco style of dum dash, dum dash. the later part with the kalimba or marimba or what it is that you used is not a direction I would have wanted the track to go in but im happy for that cause it wouldnt be fun if everyone made tracks that sounded just the way you wanted. thats what your favorite artists are there for. finally, what software do you use to sequence your tracks? Iam currently looking for someone who uses Reason to collab with aswell as someone using Cubase, but the problem there is finding someone who has the same VSTs as you. Reason eliminates that problem. Well thats my bit, and as always, feedback is just feedback. spontanous feedback at that. so its not meant as any serious critizism at all, just friendly feedback. I want to end by saying there is real potential and Im looking forward into hearing more like the goa you started the track with, that would have been interesting to hear, what else couldve came from that keep at it peace, elerium115 aka the man with many names

oh wow i really dig that London Elektricity - Just one second. Last Jungle was pretty nice too. 'Like the sad atmosphere. Do you have more? Preferably a bit darker or melancholic . Thanks -
hi. i just love the droning basslines and atmospheres, of these melodic dnb epics. Please would you suggest more artists that has tracks in the same style as the ones below. (im going to start with a classic from the 90s which still holds up today to get it started but its the tracks coming after this one that is really the style i want) okay here. and my favorite artist, Feint, a young man from Japan with incredible talent. feint ft veela - horizons feint - reprise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVdSAWWOvSwfeint feint - vision driver (erhmagehd this might be in my top 10 all time all genres) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHboMo9DTp0 (not sure why the two last vids didnt wanna show up as vids :/)

astralprojection replied to Novoice's topic in General Psytrance
haha epic thread. here, have this, it has special beats and is proggi too. probably not the proggi you want but like Padmapani said it's rare to find that kind of special on proggi psytrance. this is more proggi goa if anything in the more literal sense, with proggi meaning that it has evolved. as in progress. -
I'll add some more well worth checking out artists from the 90s (these artists made stuff in the 2000s too and well worth checking out. but 90s is the topic so ) grey area, aural planet, alien mutation, patchwork

gz on cop and huxlux, two great albums for any goa collection.

time dilation, zeta reticuli, and antidote (pl remix) are imo three immensely better tracks lucky such amazing talent exists and that there are plenty to go around to all our different tastes *cheer* -
it looks pretty shi**y, but that kamasutrance gives lame and cheesy new meaning. if it's not ironical that is, if so it's pretty funny.

mm yummy suggestions. I'll add some more. va - global psychedelic trance (the second cd) volume 1-6 makyo (full discogs but from the 90s I think his first three albums and any compilation track he might've had. solar quest - orgisms (came out in 2000 but filled with the best of his ambient from the 90s, an absolute must have for any ambient and chill out lovers)

sinai is like a very good example of a true goatrance dancefloor killer. it's a lot like, for example Miranda - Gnocchi. Both have that nice sh-101 goodness and acid style buildups and climaxes. it's still (sh-)101% goa, but dancefloor goa pretty sure tracks like those helped give birth to full on. which of course is "happy psy" and talamasca and miranda had a few "happy goa" moments. sinai is one... kick + bassline alone just signals true goatrance and can't get more goatrance than it. .. and this is why I can talk goa all day. I'm such a nerd. back on topic I'd like to bring in p.cok - double doper and Pigs in space - Solar. two epicly powerful and forceful goatrance stompers. -

Paul, acid like the synapse dissolver or like in padmapanis profile pic? or both? hehe. xeno is awesome in that setting with his almost evil psy and his awesome kickdrums. wish I was there and for a lot more than xenomorph :/ Mm yeah I thought you meant it literal aswell, ormion.. but goa is such a huge range a whole thread could be made (imo, was made, so thanks ) just talking about the dynamics of electra and comparing it to others with similar strength and power which for me, Replicant is well close. and even though almost all tracks in the thread let alone my suggestions are better than electra it's still hard to beat the shear power, soundwise, of electra. .. in literal terms, there is easily 50 tracks that has more force than it.. so I focused on the dynamics alone otherwise it would just be another list thread, and there is enough goa to goa-round, eheh, and well, it's just too damned fun to discuss the small small things to not do it. -

hehe, nice one you even had replicant in there aswell time slices remix is again a very nice notice for this context although I would consider it just as soft as big blue. hehe. I think the kick is probably the most crucial here. it has to be eqd like it's gonna kick you in the neck and lungs. time slices is just kicking me in the synapses, same with wormhole and all my other favs, and is the nicest way to mix a kick imo. electra is almost in the heart area while it's screeching leads are drilling on the brain. I prefer when leads are caressing and not drilling .. which is why I'm a sucker for new goa like artifact303 and nova fractal. also a lot of others like many e-mantra tracks, cause of the soft style. feels like you can push the limits on volume cause of the careful and masterful mixing of these guys. that way of mixing started for me, at least that's when I first heard it, on astral - amen, and I couldn't barely listen to anything not mixed that way for a long time because sound quality wise, no one could top amen. I feel a lot more open now and enjoy goa/psy even if I won't dare to listen to it too loud Amen is definitely the album I've played the loudest. I think Techno drome was the track that had my lamp jump off the speaker and hit the floor. edit: nice to see you mentioning Vision quest here aswell cause that is one of my favourite old school tracks just cause he mixed his music like it was new school but was old school. most of his tracks sound equally good but theme of vision quest just tops it for me. best transwave track. hehe -

in this context for me, hard and powerful is something like Replicant and Electra while in the same context soft would be Wormhole by filteria. still hard and intense but gentler kick and bass line, and the leads aren't as harsh. .. while real soft goa would be something like california sunshine - jajo, or artifact303 and celestial intelligence on the current scene. I most definitely enjoy the softer side, cause it's easier on the ears on high volume and more enjoyable cause of the subtlety in engenious melody and layer crafting. I love talking about the subtleties of goatrance and it's interesting to read what people consider powerful and intense. I think mostly we feel that epic acid climaxes in tracks are generally powerful and intense, for this thread and context I'm more talking about the sound and dynamics more so than the track itself. ah the subtleties of goa, how wonderful a piece of discussion. -

another great mention. this even kinda sounds like electra, heh but it's not as hard and doesn't feel as forceful as it. I prefer softer goa though.. for filteria that'd be something like wormhole and big blue. not that I would call that soft but for comparison. -

filteria is awesome ofc. howling at the moon is also a good notice in this context. speaking of toi doi, one of his more powerful tracks is the acid stormer Replicant. very loud and aggressive. -

I can't think of a more powerful goa track either. taking from the comment above, harmonic convergence is a better track to my ears, but it's cause it's more floaty and soft. electra isn't even in my top 50 goa tracks but I still can't think of a better harder goa track than it.. so pretty good topic, got me thinking through my entire tracklist in my head. I don't have to listen to it, the sound of electra is one of those sounds whose dynamics are tatooed in the brain. that kick and the main lead is really hard and loud. third best track on ifo anyway. -
thank you very much. all the best names in current goa music. looking forward to discovering this album. thanks for the free download package
