Sadly always in the shadow of artifact303. (because of the obvious similarities) But this is a great album one of the better albums in the neo goa genre.

Another one that just triggers me in all the best ways has to be Human Blue - Therpischore which is kind of the antithesis to the previous track from filteria. That's enough from me look forward to see what you bring

They gel perfectly. They invoke dancing. They build the track. They promote emotion. They are the essentials of goatrance. Without them there would just be melodies. And they speak different language to different people. I'll start with one of my very favorites although there are many, it's Filteria - Wormhole. The bassline is barely there yet hits all the right frequencies. Kick is not much more than a click but again hits the lows just amazingly. What is your favourite knb??

I find it almost hilarious that this track from 2008 still is the very best and defining track of new school goa trance. 11/10 This is still the track that everyone has to beat. Many have tried but noone managed to do it.

i tried watching dune 2, had to stop watching after about 60%, damn it was boring! im sure it was better at the cinema.

lets start from the bottom. some sort of beach. clearly you can see the horizon. where "artifact303" text is located. but then theres a planet all of a sudden, with another horizon. then theres another planet, a huge fkn thing that fills half the picture, to the left there, in purple. so we have three horizons, one local, one distant, and one planetary. it just doesnt make any sense! it reminds me when i was playing around in photoshop in 1998.. you didnt care about actual physics or anything. but this was one of the better sounding suntrip albums; so i imagine alot of thought went into chosing the right cover art. and you picked this?! haha lol. anyone got any other ridicolous art works

wops i forgot about space pussy. that was my fav track for many years around the 00s. Should be also shared 3rd place. Interesting you mention jiggle of the sphinx which i think is one of his more weaker tracks

hmm. i think surely he was one of the first to popularize and create neo goa. And he certainly has his own style, his first two albums were kind of meh even though they did have a huge impact on the scene. But he really got into his own with his third album, and to my knowledge there is no other artist that share a similar sound and style. I realise you dont like him at all and thats ok but at least Try to be objective tracks like filtertraces and perpetually delayed voyage are completely unique to his personal style.. But lets agree to disagree, also the thread isnt about filteria so enough about him 😃 And i like Xeno, just not this album that much.

nope, xeno is not a better artist than filteria. you can tell pretty easily by the sounds crafted. Xeno seems to not care much about sound design, while filteria would spend a year on a kickdrum.. And as far as vision go, i mean, comon. Filteria basically invented neo goa. abode of the damned was pretty nice. well mixed. but sound design leaves alot lacking. negative time didnt remind me much of mfg.. but the 2nd half of the track was allright!

i can kinda see where you get MFG from here i guess? But unfortunately the kick+bass ruins it for me after a few more listens now, i think its not my cup of tea at least. the sounds are way too simple (the music is decent, but sounds not so much). and i absolutely hate the kickdrum and especially the bassline. damn near sounds like 'init patch' of any virtual analog VST, with unison and lots of stereo imaging whats the 2nd best track from the album in your opinion?

i think it sounds very good, probably the best so far tbh! the key changes around 5:50 mark and onwards are very nice, again reminds me of something that i cant put my finger on right now.. oh yes now i remember. similar key and key changes are in this track aswell, by solarforce. ( -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04jXxZhzxfA- ) can you give a bit more information about the samples you used? and from what synths they were sourced? for such things as kick, bassline, hihats, leads etc. would be interesting to learn where you found all the samples at that time (98).

It was just my first impression. I haven't even listened to the full album yet but the sound of it threw me off. I'll give it a few more listens 🙂
