  1. Well if they only know Armin, Vini Vici etc. which is now some kind of big thing I noticed (guess it has more attention then even back in the late 90ties when there was a good output of good music and bigger festivals started) then they will not recognize I guess that eg. Hallucinogen,MWN or BBC etc. is Psytrance at all. Well tradionell it is still goa anyway...but this would be the same with modern "industrial". Seems Metal for example there it is not so much the case even "new metal" could do nothing to old metal classix and even new metal people would recognize eg. Obituary as Deathmetal and Judas Priest as Heavy/Hardrock
  2. WAAAITTT... the name is PSYNINA ? I always was thinking PSYNINJA, you know these Japanese guys: Guess I need a new alter ego myself to have any success in the music biz
  3. Yeah I figured this already, in case of THEBLUE there is no folder at all, just the dll,dat and fxb file, which I unzipped in the VST folder. And there seem to be no menu to load presets: I like the kind of warm, nostalgic and rough sound of this one, this is why I really want to have the presets (like said, there is only 1 in the menu - which the Logic interface provides, not the synth itself!) In the case of Audiorealism Bassline, this one seems to have only the options to load patterns and rebirth songs (at least this is the file ending = .rbs). But I downloaded an .fxp file which says are presets for ARL-B. But I see no way to load them, also putting in the "patches" folder does nothing. Also it will not load the .rbs files, however the patterns work (there are 4 folders with patterns for different styles) EDIT; SOLVED one needs to use the host application to load these (means the DAW itself!)..if VST itself has no menu.
  4. Hey folks, I finally got the ARL-B to work, noted with the delivered patterns I can get decent results. However I also downloaded a preset for it with the file format .fxp. I do not know how I can load this in the synth? Also it can import Rebirth patterns (or called songs?), this does not work too sadly ;( Fromt his thread: Same here old free VST "The BlueV2" I cannot find a menu to load presets at all, the format here is .fxb: You guys are experienced perhaps someone can help?
  5. Back to listening.... This Deviant Species stuff (The Randomizer) sounds also a bit like The Delta, or for sure it is good! I have 2 Tracks which go in a sameish direction, I wonder how one would sort the style in ? I mean I would not care personally which stype, but most listeners and distributors need at least one or better 2 style categories...people in this thread seem fit in the darker styles so perhaps can help? I could send you a sample from my track also next week.
  6. Mh, the 2nd DS album seems a mixed bag, not everything is available for listen, but seems the 4 tracks I heard were a bit too minimal for my taste. Here an example, to my ears not bad but lacking some more drive. Some elements sound like music I am working on atm. - interestingly... Here another somewhat better track vom same album: I found however a 2 track EP, here is sideA from it, so far my fave: (the b-side is quite forgettable tho) Put that above track on my buy list, if it can be bought seperatly I wonder if someone still participates in the thread ?LOL
  7. Ok, I am now going to listen to this other Species, the first 2 albums on Discogs have more an average rating, while the Randomizer has a very good one: https://www.discogs.com/de/Deviant-Species-In-The-Hands-Of-The-Randomiser/master/763072 But start with this one: https://www.discogs.com/de/Deviant-Species-The-Quest-For-Balojax/release/214964 This seems to have Lovecraftien vibes judging from artwork and titles and I used to be Lovecraft fan as also some Goth stuff used this a theme...btw. the first DE album posted above I noted as a future purchase. I will after DS, then check some more of the Future Prophecy, I only listened to 2-3 tracks so far, seems ok. Edit, I have a feeling not too many here will like DS, it is not very melodic so far and as we learnt (from a troll posters video) psytrance is dead without huge melodies/cheese etc (*sarc*)
  8. WTF I just found this in recomendation related to Second Decays 1st album: And can you believe it, this is from 2018 but sounds so 80ties..
  9. Found this video per coincidence and it seems to bring up some point which might support OPs view? The guy is movie score specialist of sorts and he seems right that even in this departement melodies got more sparse
  10. @Manuser Yeah the other deviants are already on my "to check out more" list, but for now I check this one out and find it better so far than the Green Room, from which only 3-4 tracks seem noteworthy (but the art design is top) Edit, seems I listened to some tracks from this album before - so a 2nd listen reveals it is better than I remember
  11. @Padmapani Nice, I just discovered that at page 16 in the metal thread, there is some kind of idm/chiptune/psy/whateverelectro metal mixture posted, maybe you find something to your liking. For me it seemed too "Happy" or "Melodic" (I am more into darker styles..)
  12. Must listen, Watain is a mixed bag, but this track is a hit: Also not bad:
  13. One of the more relevant attempts of "industrial or techno blackmetal", however it is still more metal... I would name Fear Factory - Fear is the mind killer mix EP even more than above one... Some would also add Samael, however using some keys and a drum machine is not enough for the category I mean with more than 80% metal and only 20% or so electronic elements Ah I forgot some promo: Have in the works a kind of industrial/electro doom track, so quite sloooow, struggling with the vocals mostly however, but this should sound at least "out of the ordinary" when complete Listened too Burzum and noted his stuff is mostly repetitions so a kind of trance music and often slow - took some inspiration from it. But it does not belong to my fave metal, only some single songs do not get boring over time (I know it is also considered kvlt but seems overrated)
  14. Ah interesting Fluorosis, seems we agree at least on the Blue Planet and (mostly "older") Boris Blenn stuff Btw. I am not even a fan of this early indus stuff or Neubauten, I just pulled them as example that non melodic stuff can become "kvlt" Re. SP, I think mostly their status is deserved but some of theirs are a bit overrated, they have huge tracks and some let downs, making complete albums sometimes a mixed bag. Even their hit Assimilate has weaknesses, it is too long drawn out without much change in the 2nd half imho. But back in the days such music was a "revelation"..might be I like their Canadian comrades from FLA a bit more, perhaps cause they have some dancefloor stompers but also soundtracks and game music etc. Plus some psytrance / IDM mixed in sometimes...a good mixture too were the first 2 Covenant albums ("techno-ebm"?) Also why I have a feeling that Fluorosis might not like my music..(mostly darker, sparse melodies, some noise)
  15. Progressive Death/Doommetal mixed with Psytrance could be interesting As long it does not just put a beat and some 303 "under" the metal I recon... There were some attempts even mixing blackmetal with indus/techno, but what I heard was pretty half-hearted (not gone the whole way..tststs)
  16. Just listening to Deviant Electronics, seems ok stuff, but this album cover for sure rocks: Ah and do not confuse the 2 bands with "Deviant", as Deviant Species is in a sameish realm. Both seem good so far, however the Species might be more my taste. Need to listen to DE´s earlier stuff too ("Brainwashing..."), the Green Room did not grab me so far, but it´s not bad at all...
  17. OPs point was not only the melodic one, to which I agree certainly if we take popular music, to a large extent music eg. in the charts is melodic. Except much of this hiphop shit fashionable in the last years. The Op also provided some names as example what he meant has future, eg. Vini Vici or Astrix IIRC. So I looked up Vini Vici tracks (I posted 2 above) and did not find them futuristic or bringing something new to the table (I found them a bit cheesy tbh), so was wondering why this would have future in particular? But if cheese and age old concepts are now the future ok - then I am not :) You could have looked up remixes yourself, there are enough: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=einstürzende+neubauten+remix Also Skinny Puppy have more then enough, and only some tracks are known for the melodies, in fact much of theirs were also quite noisy: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=skinny+puppy+remix But I guess in the end it is a matter of taste, or of own definition of a term "has a future" or "is dead" (in musical terms, not medical LOL)
  18. What is a "real producer" (definition?), only one with huge FB,Insta etc., pages and one signed with a big label? I am not real too for sure How much do you guys work on music btw.? And how long does it take to complete a song (or track?)
  19. This is a bit insulting, I watched the video and even asked some questions about it...also explored some other content by the OP (or as some would say gave him clicks). That the thread turned the way it did, shows even threads with no future can be turned into something worthwhile to read imho. Even if OP does not care about his thread at all At the melodic topic, guess the British industrial pioneers or Einstürzende Neubauten had very little melodies at all (as the name implies it was more noise and rythms), however somehow started a music movement and are considered "cult" or groundbreaking to this day. Later mixed with Kraftwerk and early wave it became ebm and techno and... in goas case added Indian and Hippy music influences
  20. Oth. mhh... this sounds a bit like the Future Ducks, does it not? Also seems he does not play his older hits...
  21. Thanks for the reminder, those slower tracks are quite cool from him too @mudpeople Good to know, must have been around the same time when EBM (supposedly) died too @Padmapani Yeah I remember the first 2 Talamasca albums.. but I found also some newer tracks to be listenable, if I want some melodic stuff, and the tracks I mean are not as cheesy as for example the first 2 in the Beatport top10 for "Psytrance" hehe
  22. Ah ok, I thought it was more about other songs... Check this and note how much they "stole" or "licencensed" - I mean The Prodigy is a big name, so guess they could not just take these well known artists and sample them, without the copyrights holders consent?
  23. @Padmapani That Sillicon Sound track was one of my faves years ago, but also due to my Blade Runner obsession, did not age so well.... Interesting that Talamasca and E.Universe count also (now?) in the full-on department, did not know that. Guess their early stuff was just named goa for us
  24. At the least something well known, my guess:Darude-Sandstom. If not - something other in that category (rave/trance in the charts!)
