  1. @RTP: Yes, I can see/hear what you mean....this direction (Kraftwerk/Rother,the Hacker) will be explored also by me if time... I think the Hacker is somewhat simmilar to AR:
  2. Groetjes, checked you other posts and you mentioned you make "oldschool goa" that sounds fine to me. As long it is not overly cheesy... do you want to use your own YT? If not - my offer to use my channel still stands, remember the track should be around 3.5-5 mins. Btw. I would not worry too much about getting famous with this, but just chose an alter ago if concerned or you have a record deal
  3. I liked AR quite a bit 10 years ago or so., but it was not "memorable" enough stuff to be in my top20 or so. However he is still better then probably 90% of "electronic producers" out there. He uploaded some "live jams" eg. here: I hear it still quite monotone stuff but also still better then most... wonder for what he needs the ton of synths his sounds are not that complicated / diverse... but seems a nice collection
  4. @Jikkenteki: Yes 20 years or so seems possible - guess they were a pioneering site for uploading / streaming music.. which "spawned" later 2 dozen or so simmilar sites. @RTP: Do you think a track uploaded half a year ago but on private since then could be used, I forgot about it. But I do not know if going live from private has the same effect as newly uploaded video... we could use this one if the other options do not materialize... NHJO seems busy making tracks for the guiness book world record @ImbaFrom his FB: "I'm now top CEO and music artists and Actor, Sports man etc" well there you have it, we are way too lowly people for a TOP CEO
  5. Cool, keep us updated on this when/if you get the 2 tracks. We could simply make as shorter version, as for this experiment it would be better around 4-5Mins. All the best for your label ! Seems activity in the forum is quite low atm, so lets hope we still get some more people on board with this.
  6. @KER: Not sure if this was sarcastic, but using someone´s others song for such an experiment seems a bit strange, even if a remix. Remember not everyone would approve of these "tactics", in partly perhaps cause they use it themselves Edit. Just noted KER means KaliEarthRecords LOL
  7. WTF so many talented individuals here and no one can make something like this This song seems to have more power then the average fullon... Well I can´t cause not talented... also I am more in the mood for black or deathmetal atm anway
  8. I did not know this mix from Dark Waters before pretty cool ... And another nice mix
  9. You checked out the premise of the book quite fast LOL But too OT even if interesting topic... A. Dildos never my fave, their comrades from Placebo Effect, X-Marks the Pedwalk, yelworC or even earlier Pitchfork were more my cup of tea, if we name the German scene. Still much of it was Skinny Puppy copycat. Which is a feat however in itself to manage that imho. Haujobbs first was the prime album of the SP copy age, they later branched out to technoish/ambient/sountrack themes.. i know basically every album of this timeframe and musical area a walking wikipedia so too speak Edit, I forgot about Calva Y Nada... here their club hit, total simple, but effective and atmospheric, I danced to that in the club with mostly strange black clothed people what seems an eternity ago This is not at all OT, EBM/Indus is a main influence of Goa..
  10. ASStricks ... is this only one guy or band of some kind, did they/he name himself from the gallic hero Asterix and does it connect in some way to the magical potion they used to resist Julius Ceasar?? And is this style named "full on" ? Curious...if yes it is not for me, goes into one ear and out the other without tickling something in between. But I can hear why it is more popular, guess appeals to more "normal trance" and house audience too. In fact it seems todays house (not the earlier acidhouse) is quite simmilar to this fullon stuff (I also checked the other fullon thread Recursion posted) as it is more like easy listening, ambient or so called "elevator music". One can hear it nicely when doing other things when you do not want to get distracted from the task you are doing in the way that it does not grab you much at all, but also not disturbs..
  11. Book is about the "creation" of the hippie scene by "Intel" and some earlier famous bands connected to it, most known case The Doors.. one of the goals was to divert form the growing anti vietnam protests also by promoting drugs ie "badmouthing" or black washing the protesters as drugged up crazies for the general population who might have caught on with the protests...But is a bit OT lol ..so back to "industrial" music.. Well later with "Aggrotech" and "Darkelectro" it turned into mad mass murderers, killing, party, dance, cheese and horror themes, quite unfortunate together with the decline of musical quality (just check covers/lyrics by Suicide Commando, Agonoize or Combichrist).
  12. Google "knows" everything in teh nets, right? Seems you are also a little conspiracy theorist... OT question, do you know the concept of syncronicity or "bedeutsame Zufälle" as coined by CG Jung?
  13. I assume you have read "Weird Scenes in Laurel Canyon" ? Not so sure about the gnosticsim/occultism re. industrial my fave artists seemed more to be into science fiction, cyber, dystopian, war themes. Or just some babble about androids and nuclear wastelands...FLA comes to mind But it can be argued this was more EBM and not much indus anymore...most REAL early industrial is even to weird for me...
  14. Recently found, I listened cause of the cover and was rewarded... this is some kind of folk/symphonic with a bit blackmetal i guess
  15. Ok I got up early to upload and right after I wanted to "buy the views"... I got a copyright claim however only 30mins. after the upload from my own distributor. I signed up with it half a year ago to try this Spotify;Itunes etc. thingie out. And a week ago I released a Maxi as test how this all works. The track I wanted to use is on this Maxi, I did not know however that it will be claimed when I upload myself to YT (distributor put a "snippet" up on YT but not complete song). Well the "Google AI" can not know I made the track. Pretty fast system tho - I wonder if it searches the file (data) itself or only the title? Using a claimed video for this experiment is of course suboptimal even if it was not deleted right away, guess this test needs to be postponed Or some steps in with another track? Anyways nice sunday to all...
  16. @RTP; This time yup I am in the action not only words (means I make the thread later) but before I ask.... is there something that I can put in the tags or some other "trick" which also might help ? Re. Atmos is this on CD where you heard the hiss, if it is online it can easily be caused by the conversion and leveling the streamers do. If yes, I say it is part of the track, in psy (or techno, indus) a "hissy" sound even if not intended can fit easy.
  17. Googled Digital Performer and gosh from the looks of it, seems they took some "logical" hints. Seems not bad! In this review here: https://www.amazona.de/test-motu-digital-performer-10-digital-audio-workstation/ I found what it is that your tempo gets set automaticly: "Der Digital Performer 10 hat nun auch eine verbesserte Beat-Erkennung („Beat Detection 2.0“) und ein richtig gutes Stretching-Tool bekommen, die beide Hand in Hand arbeiten. Hat man die automatische Beaterkennung für Tracks aktiviert (was Voraussetzung ist), lassen sich diese über das Stretch-Menü recht zuverlässig an das Sequenzertempo anpassen – auch in Echtzeit, also im laufenden Betrieb. " My old Logic should be able to do this at least with Audio files, for Midi I need to try. But it is more complicated not automatic. Sorry for the confusion I caused with the BPM also to Recursion who said 138 already correctly
  18. Great thanks, I already noted that slow 130 did not work for your midi..:) See post above... I do not know how to find the tempo in midi files Guess it was in the text document, too lol
  19. @psytones: Your label is "Kali Earth" ? Someone posted a link to some tracks from this, was quite ok. IIRC it was somewhat darker sound too? @RTP "Electric Universe has developed into "formula" territory imo, but to be fair, he did that already some time ago." you said.... Boris had also this project Paradise Connection IIRC. This was quite good, perhaps he should go a bit more in this direction again....
  20. Quite good - I only know the Cassandras Nightmare CD which I bought second hand years ago, it was sorted in the metal section as there is a deathmetal band with the same name I like the typical gothrock guitar in one of the tracks (fits better than a hardrock one for sure). Some of his sounds reminds me on mine Guess I also listened to another album on YT but was not so thrilled, however 2-3 tracks in this set seem to be better again Edit, is "Sinister Contour" some kind of mix or cover ? I certainly remember this track but from another one...(or its just some overused arps lol)
  21. More: Funny vid and was in the charts: This one for sure is CHEESE but also kinda catchy:
  22. This Dance2Trance was one of my faves in the 90ties or so, I also bought some of these compilations there was perhaps 1/3 or so listenable stuff most was cheese. There was a radio show I believe which played techno/trance stuff (I mean in the normal radio back in the days!) called "RPR" There I got some of the earlier ideas incl this track, I treasured the tape which had the radio show with this track quite a bit I remember still...and edit, it was a mix ca. 8mins from "Dance To Trance" not the short one you posted. -.otherwise it was U96 and Der General or Der weiße Hai for "rave-techno" or such stuff which was crossovered from "new beat" and even EBM and I was becomming a big EBM fan mid/end of the 90ties when someone lend me the sampler "This is ebm" . It went so far I sold 70-80% of my metal records, which is quite sad now, as some of them were double albums with somewhat limited edition, perhaps Ride The Lighning and Master OP have some collectors value these days... Funny thing is I listened to some new (also dark) techno and find these older tracks still superior LOL
  23. I did not know ChivaC is still active but that could easily be another artist... or the "brox" has this influence ..(?)
  24. Yeah eg. 2 thingies for 130 would be enough (if you have the time), but keep the 138 "on reserve" for a possible faster mix later. If other people come in too perhaps, it could be enough for 2 tracks actually (130+138): EDIT, YUP 130 is too slow I noted now...! Also it is not "oldschool goa" - Vera´s "acid line" and some sound effects however should be compatible to the genre. As a noob in genres I would say some crossover Techno-Psy..
  25. Ok. Votings so far (will make an average of all votes) 130, MM 138, RL I just keep the 130 for now and post a snippet some day. One can make a mix with the later agreed on BPM if more votes. Or if someone has a cool sample idea... I guess the drugs and consqiousness related samples are quite boring/stylistic these days, so perhaps come up with something different but still fitting the genre(s)?? And not to well known and not "stolen" from other songs. @recursion loop: Can you provide your melody at 130 for now - only if you think it works at that tempo or must be faster - like you wish Or whatever you like to include. For others the same of course...remember only if you have fun with it, should not be seen as "work"
