Nice interview: From that I re-discovered this track. It is quite simple and mix was not the best, but has the typical early 90ties feeling / athmosphere which not many seem to be able to make these days (?)

No one asked or wanted to participate or makes his own try on the midi as far I can tell Still working on it, would say on Aprils Fool Day I have a raw version ready - I aimed for a 90ties feel. I can work 2-3 hours / day on music, sometimes only every 2nd day so my progress is slow...But I now have a method to not start new tracks anymore and finish existing ones: I strictly only work on 3 tracks at a time. Means cycling through them - running out of ideas or get bored at No.1 go to the 2nd and so on. When you arrive again at track 1 you might have refreshed yourself and make progress on this one again.. Btw, there is a 303ish wave which has quite low volume, is there a special reason?

Listen UP, if @Gluondoes not post he has a track until Thursday I make a 2nd try.. ...on Friday I "publish" a private track on my YT. I have read this has no negative impact for this experiment, sadly I have no "clickbait" coverpic for it....but at least it has a bit of cheese

@NHJO__HYENNRO: Why not contribute to the "Psynews track" ? Having such a well known artist and CEO involved would give it a boost for sure Any other more known musician also !

Just hit me up.... I already prepared a thread for the experiment - before my own piece got the copy right claim, in hindsight this was not so bad. Contácted the publisher why this happened and the FAQ said, they will just claim the "royalitites" but not take the track down or restrict it. It is called "YT content ID"

If you understand a bit German try the docu I posted above or go to YT and look "Der Rap Hack"...there it is explained that shorter tracks work better for this "hack" many of these "Rappers" have tracks only 2.5-3.0 Min. Most online streamers do not count klicks (anymore) but playtime: I assume a percent value is used, so a 8 Min. track needs 4 Min playtime to get 50%. But a 4Min track only needs 2 Min for the same (this is my own research so anyone can prove me wrong on this and we can use 7-8Min.) Also the play does only count over 30 secs. Meaning the higher % value of a given video is viewed the more it counts (for YT Algo) Edit, here a "follow up" analysis to the Rap Hack.

Exploring some new music, among it this one. The album is pretty ok I think, I am not in the camp finding it bad or very good,... ....but somewhere in between. However this artist seems to have better tracks then this album offers, for example this and WTF this video IS trippy Also decent: EDIT, here even old school sound and a bit darker, which I like (for sure better then newer stuff from him)

Well your new midi (thanks!) can be opened directly with my DAW by "right click/open with" and voila now also the 138 is set automaticly. I started over with your 2nd midi, as the 1st try as said already seems more in the indus/dark techno direction which is not the forums main topic, so hardly could be a "Psynews Track". There was also not much left from your midi.. This one should sound a bit more goa.... as no one voted for a sample I already found one (drug related, it does not promote drugs ofc), now only need time and muse to complete the song Still time for everyone who wants to contribute something ...you can use either the 138 or 135 - possibly 2 mixes can be made, one long and a shorter with slightly different bpm

@RTP: Yes, I can see/hear what you mean....this direction (Kraftwerk/Rother,the Hacker) will be explored also by me if time... I think the Hacker is somewhat simmilar to AR:

Groetjes, checked you other posts and you mentioned you make "oldschool goa" that sounds fine to me. As long it is not overly cheesy... do you want to use your own YT? If not - my offer to use my channel still stands, remember the track should be around 3.5-5 mins. Btw. I would not worry too much about getting famous with this, but just chose an alter ago if concerned or you have a record deal

I liked AR quite a bit 10 years ago or so., but it was not "memorable" enough stuff to be in my top20 or so. However he is still better then probably 90% of "electronic producers" out there. He uploaded some "live jams" eg. here: I hear it still quite monotone stuff but also still better then most... wonder for what he needs the ton of synths his sounds are not that complicated / diverse... but seems a nice collection

@Jikkenteki: Yes 20 years or so seems possible - guess they were a pioneering site for uploading / streaming music.. which "spawned" later 2 dozen or so simmilar sites. @RTP: Do you think a track uploaded half a year ago but on private since then could be used, I forgot about it. But I do not know if going live from private has the same effect as newly uploaded video... we could use this one if the other options do not materialize... NHJO seems busy making tracks for the guiness book world record @ImbaFrom his FB: "I'm now top CEO and music artists and Actor, Sports man etc" well there you have it, we are way too lowly people for a TOP CEO

Cool, keep us updated on this when/if you get the 2 tracks. We could simply make as shorter version, as for this experiment it would be better around 4-5Mins. All the best for your label ! Seems activity in the forum is quite low atm, so lets hope we still get some more people on board with this.

@KER: Not sure if this was sarcastic, but using someone´s others song for such an experiment seems a bit strange, even if a remix. Remember not everyone would approve of these "tactics", in partly perhaps cause they use it themselves Edit. Just noted KER means KaliEarthRecords LOL

You checked out the premise of the book quite fast LOL But too OT even if interesting topic... A. Dildos never my fave, their comrades from Placebo Effect, X-Marks the Pedwalk, yelworC or even earlier Pitchfork were more my cup of tea, if we name the German scene. I assume you have read "Weird Scenes in Laurel Canyon" ? Not so sure about the gnosticsim/occultism re. industrial my fave artists seemed more to be into science fiction, cyber, dystopian, war themes. Or just some babble about androids and nuclear wastelands...FLA comes to mind But it can be argued this was more EBM and not much indus anymore...most REAL early industrial is even to weird for me...

Ok I got up early to upload and right after I wanted to "buy the views"... I got a copyright claim however only 30mins. after the upload from my own distributor. I signed up with it half a year ago to try this Spotify;Itunes etc. thingie out. And a week ago I released a Maxi as test how this all works. The track I wanted to use is on this Maxi, I did not know however that it will be claimed when I upload myself to YT (distributor put a "snippet" up on YT but not complete song). Well the "Google AI" can not know I made the track. Pretty fast system tho - I wonder if it searches the file (data) itself or only the title? Using a claimed video for this experiment is of course suboptimal even if it was not deleted right away, guess this test needs to be postponed Or some steps in with another track? Anyways nice sunday to all...
