  3. Other than the Techtrance, Goa & early psy sound i really enjoy the forest sound but not so much the dark psy sound. i generally follow a few labels: Audio Ashram (Kaosmos & Kaosmos 2) Bijah Forest Freaks Mighty Quinn Moon Koradji Mushroom Hunters Rockdenashi Vantara Vichitara Yggdrasil And this year I plan to check out: Treetrolla Medulla Oblongata Chronicle Of Mystery Getting back in to these genres over the last 6 months makes me really regret selling my DJ gear in 2012. Really need to save up for some again, somehow mixing this style is so much more fun than just listening!!
  4. I also think it depends on the music. I mean, if it is mastering an actual full band then I think the price needs to be higher as from my limited experience there is a lot more involved. I think if you can make a name for yourself thought in mastering then it is obviously a great source of income in the music film. It's basically all Tim Schuldt does. I also think the lads behind Authentik used to actually do more on the mastering side than production, not sure what they do now though.
  5. Thanks sorry to any it upset, I have no idea on how to hide etc. Not sure of success rate but having worked as a disability carer with people who this degenerative condition, and as a father, the risks outway doing nothing. I won't delve in to the subject matter as it is far to personal but some choices regarding being the giver of life I think can only come with life experience & personal belief systems.

  7. This unbornd child was diagnosed with Spina Bifida at 21 weeks of pregnanc. A surgeon performed an extremely risky operation where he performs a C-setion on the mother, removing the womb with child in it to then perform life saving surgery on the unborn baby. If at any point the child was disconnected from the womb it would die. At this point the child's hand reached out of the womb to grasp the surgeons finger and hold it. The surgeon has said it is the most profund and emotional moment of his life, the mother cried for days after seeing it. Little Samuel was born 100% healthy thanks to this surgery and is 10 years old with no medical problems whatsoever. Maybe becuase I have a child, but to me this is one of the most amazing images I've ever seen. NSFW
  8. Bored & having the blues since my wife's holidays from work ended & the days are a bit lonely. My son is still having a nap so making myself a bacon n' cheese sandwich with a cup o' tea. Winter weather starting isn't helping. Especially as the tradesman who is installing our heating system did not turn up, and is now not responding to any kind of communication.
  9. Keen for this. Will it be up on Bandcamp same time as in yhr trgular shop? Also I purchased via bandcamp 3 CDs a fortnight ago. I have received no confirmation or response to email? Is this normal for Bandcamp purchases? Do I just wait? Cheers
  10. Prana - Geomantik (Alien Pets hello?) Total Eclipse - Viloent Relaction (amazing vibes of dark meets light in the trance CD, not so huge on disc 2 thought). Elysium - "Dance For Celestial Beings (So tribal and playful) Cydonia - "In Fear Of A Red Planer" (Great proto-dark industial) but I hardly ever bought or listened to albums. I'm a compilaton buyer, I get bored of albums easily.

    Heavy metal.

haha yeah I was suspended from my catholic school when I was about 15 for wearing a Marduk " tshirt on a casual clothes day. This tshirt actually NSFW http://www.fanshake.com/artists/marduk/merchandise/marduk-t-shirts-band/1171338/amazon Anyway yeah for sure I can see much from the complexity of heavy metal matching the Goa sound. I think Sandmad has played keyboard in a few Israeli prog metal bands. He has IMO always had a bit of prog metal sound to his tunes. Now I find most metal too intense & negative. A lot of my collection including vinyl has been sold off. Did I post this earlier? Opeth is on constant rotation. Especially their last album which was very much just pure prog rock. Rumour has it they have gone a wee bit heavier for the new album but no heavy vocals. I also still follow Napalm Death, a lot of what they stand for regarding human & animal rights speaks to me, but when I saw them live a few years back the venue here in Melbourne was too small for their sound, and the dude on mixing desk had no idea. It was just a wall of noise Thrash now-adays seems pretty much too teenage immature to me as does Cannibal Corpse Zombie songs. Also black metal, and I never liked bands such Burzum that had very much racist & neo-fascist tendencies. I liked them as teenager as they were extreme rebel music to me but as i matured i realised they are actusaly not that great. now-a-days it's most electronica. I love Goa trance& the new nitzho movemnet as it just feels me with power and positive vibes. As my mental illness has progressed & life hasn't turned out 100% how I thought it would positive music helps a lot. End Rant.
  12. Not much except groceries. Making a baked risotto with chicken, mushroom, pumpkin & asparagus for dinner. Am saving my cash to buy some new music ASAP. Makyo has just put out the CD version of Purnima remixed & want the new Suntrip comp. as soon as it's available.
  13. Will be in touch in a few days psyber when I'm back from holiday.
  14. Yeah I used the neo term but it actually killed the music for me, it seemed to make it less enjoyable when I used that term. I now call it the new generation of Goa. Mostly I just refer to it as trance music. I mean I enjoy all facets of trance but this style most of all.
  15. I had thousands including old techno, protogoa, house etc. form the 80's. also had plenty of 60's, 70' & 80's pop on vinyl but all gons. now 100-200 mostly trance (goa & psy) plus some acid techno and Steve Roach on CD also a lot of drum n bass but it's all digital. I have a ton of hi-tech dark stuff on CD I'm desperatre to sell but noone seems keen

    V/A - Tantrance 7

I used to dislike this intensely but over time have come to enjoy it immensely! Some bits are euro trancey but still quality. The only track I really dislike and skip is Ambient Galaxy. This track has always seemed to me like a lazy filler, even on the album. I mean seriously, almost 14 minutes of talentless thumping pseudo breaks with a rehashed albeit slowed down melody from the original? Anyway, other than that this I think is very nice and unfairly discriminated against!

    Heavy metal.

Kreator have alway been my fav thrash band. They deserve so much more recognition IMO. Would love to see them live. Sadly I don't listen to metal much anymore, other than Pantera/Meshuggah/Opeth/Behemoth/Kreator/Fear Factory & Napalm Death. Just find it to intense. Still go to live shows, nothing beats heavy metal live!
  19. My wife (pregnant with our second child) has had a migraine since Wednesday & has been in hospital since yesterday. She's fine, just being monitored. I had a well paid dj gig this morning so did that whilst my folks looked after our first born. Sitting in the hospital now bored, listening to The Call Of Goa & hoping we can go home soon. My wife & her pregnancy is fine, I miss my son lots & want to play with him!
  20. Absolutely loving the work of this artist! So powerful, psychedelic and fun! I had a 3 hour trance dj set on the mainfloor at a 3 story super club my mate partially owns at 2am this (Saturday) morning. I finished it with my Sita/Timewarp CDs inc. his album. An hour of pure Agneton (some Dutch mega dj had been on before me), and the place went absolutely mental!! I finished the set with his Azure Epos track, and as I walked off I had all these sweaty geezers hugging me, and some dude tripping madly was in tears of joy . Told everyone about these labels so hopefully getting some more commercial recognition. More music please Mr Agneton!!
  21. Love this guy's stuff on Anjuna etc. Would love an album from UFOmatka on CD. Anjuna please? Actually would love him to get together with Mr Sandman from Israel & do a CD of 10+ minute deep sci fi psy trance!!
  22. Vinyl is http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gramophone_record Anyway I'd say I spend around $100-200AU every 3 months. This covers all my music. Seeing as I only buy Goa trance or "neo" Goa it limits my spending as the releases aren't huge and I only buy CD. Other than that? I buy house music of all spectrums via digital for my regular paid dj gigs. Usually this would be $30-50AUD every 3 months. Ambient wise I only buy Dakini Records & Steve Roach which again is not much release wise so good for budget.
  23. Amazing still today is this album! Such positive vibes. The first track just really makes me smile with & dance. Wish he was still making this style. One more album like this plz!!
  24. Amazing work, everyone involved should be super proud. I'll be buying a few copies as gifts if possible. I don't need too hear samples to know it's quality all the way

    V/A - Apsara

When I first heard this I thought the Suntrip movement had no chance as the music sounded ridiculously cheesey & had no depth. While I still find this compilation to be this way, I'm glad others didn't as the label has grown in to a deeper more mature sound that I know love. I guess it's always baby steps leading to growth and maturity. I'm proud of the work this label has done & cannot wait to grab a copy of the 10 year compliation. Congrats team Suntrip
