  1. Fine, I'll just add FULLON to the list of things that shouldn't be considered psy trance at all. my bloody opinion. Bring on the skazi army!
  2. I like massive as it has the most wicked type of link-system I've seen. We'll nothing ground-breaking but it's very intuitive. It can do some nice quirks and sound fx, unfortunately I don't consider it that good for "big" sounds (leads, pads etc). Only used it for a few weeks tho, erm, that was last year . FM8 is great and needs alot of tweaking around to get that sound you're looking for. It's really an expert's synth imo. I still love FM7, made some crazy shit with that one, FM8 is more pretty to look at tho .
  3. the track x-dream - related vortex is a masterpiece tho
  4. Well.. no need for me to listen to it for the third time. I'd just spoil the new track by overlistening
  5. Rebroadcast or another live show??
  6. I've realized that often I would have the need to listen to a good track before I'd go to bed. Nothing special, just that it's a track I favor and preferably ambient-style aswell. Makes it easy to go to sleep that way I guess. There's not a single track I use every day, but I usually select something from either CBL, Solar Fields or maybe even something off of vibrasphere's selected downbeats album (I'd like to add Pushmipulyu - Wake You is an excellent choice aswell). Ocasionally I'd go to sleep with something more psychedellic like x-dream, but I keep it ambiental usually. Tonight it's Ulrich Schnauss - Bluebird of Happiness (Ulrich Schnauss Remix). Perfect closing for the night. I did use to just pop in a whole mix of tracks to sleep over to. Back when I was in the army (here we go again.. ) I had the excellent Paul Oakenfold - Essential Mix (1994) mix on my ipod. Waking up near a fire while this music was played in my ears is a true psychedellic experience hehehe. Edit: Nah, it's gonna be track Wake You for closing this night. I overplayed the bluebird track too much recently
  7. Pascal and a computer. Ha-ha, I'm cheating!
  8. I won't do that again, I promise!
  9. Allready posted this link, well worth of a visit tho: http://www.thinner.cc - A great site filled with an extraordinary ammount of talnet. And all of the music is free. I've listened to pretty much all of their compilations (There's over 100 of them, some were unfortunately unavailable for download). So I figured why not give an extensive list of 'selected' tracks and releases worth listening to? I'll start with the first half of the releases today, and continue with my reviews tommorow (since it's very late at the moment). Here we go: [thn005] Rktic - Northern Lights // More of a dark minimal approach here, not bad at all. » tracks to check: #5 [thn006] Nulleins - Cyclism // Very groovy minimal, lot's of expression in this release. » tracks to check: #1, #4 [thn007] Benfray - Carbon // A little on the heavy side, nonetheless a great release by Benfray. » tracks to check: #1, #2, #3 [thn008] Dolby - Dub Expo // Starts very gentle but energetic, progresses to more groovy dark minimal. » tracks to check: #1 [thn010] VA - Thinnerism [Vol. 02] // A good VA, diverse tracks in this one. Definately worth a check. » tracks to check: #6 [thn014] Digitalverein - Zu Hause 2 // A very diverse release from this artist. Starts dubbish and ends with an techy track. » tracks to check: #3, #7 [thn015] Dolby - Midnight // This is a more progressive release. Starts with an almost psychedellic minimal track, ends with an atmospheric dubby track. » tracks to check: #3, #4 [thn017] Zu Hause 2 Remixes // I've allready recommended the original Zu Hause 2 release. This is an excellent remix, if you liked the original you won't be dissapointed. » tracks to check: #1, #3, #4, #6 [thn021] Falter - Taumelflug // If you're one of those people who like their minimal to sound 'big', then this is perfect for you. Plenty of atomsphere and big sounds, recommended. » tracks to check: #1, #3 [thn022] Digitalis - Synergy // Excellent release. Very dynamic, energetic and groovy. Starts slow and dark, continues fast and energetic and ends with a smooth groovy track. Highly recommended. » tracks to check: #1, #3, #4 [thn023] Selffish - Eenas // Music with alot of attitude. A great release. » tracks to check: #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 [thn026] Benfray - Bergflanke // Fast-paced minimal with a thumping beat and lots of treble. Starts with a very dynamic minimal/psychedellic track. A good release by Benfray again. » tracks to check: #1, #4 [thn028] Niels Jensen - 77 // A mix of groovy and tech minimal tracks, very dynamic alltogether. Contains a few gems. Recommended release. » tracks to check: #2, #6, #7 [thn037] Lufth - Tendenzen // A very psychedellic style on this release I must say. For the freaky/psychedellic-minimal lovers this will come great. » tracks to check: #3 [thn040] Surphrase & Rktic - Norddeutsch // Very groovy/techy minimal release. Highly recommended. » tracks to check: #1, #3, #4 [thn042] Eloi Brunelle - Montréal Night Grooves // Has a nice beat to it and an atmosphere. Worth checking out. » tracks to check: #2, #4 [thn047] Marko F Crstenberg - Gesamtlaufzeit // Lots of atmosphere and very dance-able music. Contains something for everyone. An excellent release, highly recommended. » tracks to check: #1, #2, #5, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11 [thn051] Deluge - Departure in affection and new noise // A very ambiental energetic release, you will love this one if you like your minimal to be gentle and atmospheric. This is minimal but borderline ambient. Very highly recommended if you dig this kind of material. » tracks to check: #1, #2, #4, #7, #9, #10 [thn053] Holger Flinsch - The Watcher And The Tower // A mix of ambience and tech which delivers alot of atmosphere. It get's my recommendation. » tracks to check: #1, #3, #4 [thn054] Benfray - One Touch Button Music // Atmosphere, ambience, the beat, the bass, the sounds.. this one has it all. A superb release by none other then Benfray. There are many gems which ultimately makes this a must have release! » tracks to check: #1, #4, #5, #6, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12
  10. Guys, you know what the most funny thing about this copy-paste work is..? He forgot her right foot!
  11. You're new here, aren't you?
  12. Yep, I saw that one a few days ago aswell. I think there's even a tutorial on how to make that painting, that explains to easyness of the copy-pasting I guess.. EFFORTLESS SCUM.
  13. NHJO music is truly a niché among all the music that floats around these days. I bet he's gonna be famous one day just like aphex twin is.
  14. oophoi and louisa john krol -- caver of dreaming shells -- i hear the water dreaming (2005) In your step-cousin's bath tub (with her inside it ofc). Edit: Fixed
  15. Top-right, on the banner. You see that "powered by psysurfeur" link? Yeah that one, click it! There's tons of DVD's and videos to download from his site.
  16. Oh My Fucking GOD, this is so EPIC!!!!
  17. Without a doubt in my mind, NHJOHYENNRO - 2007 Christmas Carols. Nothing to add for psy, altho for ambient/newage/chill there's more classics to be mentioned.
  18. Great! The site allways seemed kind of too minimalistic to me. There's not alot of information going on there. Glad it's going thru a redesign tho
  19. Then how about a video section on the suntrip website with interviews or videos of live acts? Doesn't have to be one long movie, but just a few clips of each artist updated as neccesary and when new (video) material is out. Doesn't have to be hosted on the site itself, could be embedded to youtube or DailyMotion (which is alot better in terms of resolution & quality).
  20. You won't feel any impact of 24/96 audio quality versus 16/44.1. Unless you're that 1% of the population with superb hearing with a 10 mil$ sound system.. Even then I bet it's not much of a difference. I'd much rather see a dvd with artist interviews + some live video footage, aswell as a tour and some interviews of the guys behind suntrip records.
  21. Cool idea.
  22. Well probably there is.. for most people. I've got that damn specific taste which most (new) music doesn't fit into. Psytrance-wise anyways. So could u give me that list of 20 psychedellic overkill albums from this year? I wanna check that out.
  23. I prefer the track Kincajou, but yeah, Lhasa ain't bad.
  24. Aurora track by Antares is absolutely fantastic.
