  1. Yes, they will hear more that's for sure.
  2. I'm a sucker for good pads. I'm looking for something that may or may not have a beat to it, since I'm fine with both cases (altho beatless can be less interesting if the artist isn't creative enough). Ambient music with alot of revolving pads but not just plain sustained pads, rather unique pads that change over time.. Maybe that's asking too much, but I guess what I'm looking for are artists that are really creative with their pads, or that at least use alot of them while they seemlessly melt with each other. Non-commercial music is welcome, but typically I've found that it's not as much creative when it comes to pads. Just pastin a bunch of different pads with each other doesn't ensure the music will be interesting to listen to, so I need something that will not neccesarily bore me out at the first listen (like the average drone stuff thats out there). There are pads in psybient/electronic music aswell, but they're typically set in the intro's and very short. A recent example is VA Future Memmories - Track 7: Snakestyle - Neutral Buoyancy - it has a really sweet pad in the beginning. A good example would be Carbon Based Lifeforms - Gryning which has the most awesome pads I've heard in a while - it has a nice beat to it aswell.
  3. life is up and down... but more ups than down now:)

    how`s you?

  4. His album Airdrawndagger is a great peace of work. I haven't listened to Invol2ver yet.
  5. This is really the first time I've heard of him. It definately had some promise.. but what a shame, drug-overdose. I'm not really aware of the local goa scene, any others worth mentioning Rino?
  6. There's alot of talent out there so I thought we could all share our favourite unsigned artists, their myspace/soundclick/etc sites. Doesn't have to be strictly psy of course. Here's some of the top of my head (click for webby): Siebzehn Symphonic Chronicles Antares Aavepyora Astrotek (ambient, breakbeat) I had a huge list of links to unsigned artists, but I lost it somewhere.. And in the list I have now half the artists are not unsigned anymore hehe.
  7. They use a mac now. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Let's not judge them just yet. I'm gonna wait for the album to come out and after a couple of hundred listens I'll cast my final verdict on this one. Same here, avid trance fan so this might be a treat!
  8. My personal observation is that with Another World they went more trancey with their production. Since I was an avid trance fan the album really hit me hard. But it's all down to tastes anyway.
  9. +1 Btw u didn't like Another World - the album? Anywho, I think the biggest reason I love these guys so much is that their music has so much replay value. And it has inspired so many new talents that are rising up these days. Not to sound too corny, but their music belongs in a special place in my heart.
  10. Well sure I do favour some tracks more then others, but I'd have to list almost their whole discography just by making a top favourite track list hehe. I even like their old SFX stuff. I hope they deliver with their next album, but times have changed..
  11. It's just impossible for me to not like all of their tracks except that one exception which is Amen (there is a few good tracks there aswell). There's nothing cheesy I find about them. I find suntrip's releases to be alot more cheasy then any of their old stuff to me. But that's just me.
  12. PM Nemo he'll tell ya where to go
  13. Shhhhhhhhh! Don't you read your emails?
  14. Was just about to say that. Altho.. if they're clever enough they could of just recorded silent noise instead of silence untill the next track starts. That would maybe make it seem like theres a track there.
  15. Trying.. Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The error returned was: The upload failed. Please contact a member of staff to help rectify the problem
  16. The avatar problem is back again. I can't put up any kind of avatar (its below 50k size and its 128x128).
  17. Awesome comp, I keep on spinning it I worry I might overplay it. It's perfect for early morning hours. Jeezlh by solar fields is awesome, and so are other tracks. Highly recommended.
  18. Well I guess this might have been stopped if there were active mods willing to do some work in the offtopic. The only topics that ever got closed lately were by Nemo and Mars, even tho theres about 8 or so mods. I don't know if these mods are unavailable or just unwilling to moderate. But like you said mars, you warned about the spam in offtopic a long while back but the spam kept comming back. The tensions got bigger and bigger, and there were no mods to stop them from growing. I gave my word to Nemo that if psynews needed new mods I'm willing to participate. However since the offtopic closed I guess it's too late for that. Anywho, good luck with that suntrip release!
  19. Btw guys the timer on psynews didnt synchronize. It's still running on daylight savings time, it didn't move -1.
  20. Oops I was wrong about that track. Must of confused it with another hidden track from somewhere else. Yeah that is a good track, it shouldn't be hidden. It's not my favourite from that album tho
  21. Carbon Based Lifeforms have one of those in their world of sleepers album. But the hidden track is just pointless imo, I mean it's not a good track at all. Just random squaky noises in some kinda rhythm, which doesnt even sound mastered to me. I respect unreleased tracks, but hidden? They're hidden for a reason, probs cos they needed to fill in the cd's length or something.. Oh well..
  22. I don't want to point fingers, but when the offtopic was closed weren't some members banned because they tried to spam in the general section? I remember mars closed one topic and said the member was banned, I also think another member was banned by nemo for opening a spam thread in general (maybe sunwolf?). Might be that one of these guys got mad for getting banned and waited for the offtopic to get opened so they could attack again, thus making the onwers of the site believe that the off-topic was the reason why psynews was attacked. As far as I know we didn't have any fights in offtopic recently, nobody stepped on anyone's toes.. I partly understand Fabien's decision. I mean if I had a record label that was about to put up a release and the website gets hacked, I'd do anything to stop further attacks. But what if these attacks continue? Will you close down psynews aswell? I don't really see how closing a part of your own site can help stop further attacks, especially when there is no evidence that the offtopic was the actual cause. And even if it was, you can't blame the psynews regulars for it. Nobody pointed fingers at someone and said "hack this website!". Rather than close the section permanently I think you should just close it temporary without any date on when its coming up again. You could close it untill you find the person responsible for the attacks. Because right now if he attacks again and brings psynews and suntrip down again who will you blame? The general section of psynews? The mods? I'm just saying you should try to find the person responsible before making such harsh decisions like closing down a section of a forum permanently. But it's your call and I respect that, whatever your decision might be.
  23. I knew there was a conspiracy behind the google translator! Btw how hard is it to write those letters? I mean they aren't really letters, are they? Each one can mean a word right? My mother visited Japan and alot of asian countries almost 2 decades ago, she found the people and technology there fascinating. I gotta visit that place one day!
  24. Man that's eaaasy. It says: Removal world general universal true justice stopping. Perfect sense!
  25. That's what backups are for!
