  1. ok i gotta eat my own words i've been playing the new album for a few days now and it is fucking amazing bravo EDIT: is the album version of the single different to the version released prior to the album. maybe i heard one of the remixes, 'cos it had a really different vibe to what's on the album. (i think it had a video?)
  2. a great album with some huge tracks very sharp soundwork
  3. dude that bass sounds fucking amazing, no-one can argue that reason has weak bass after hearing that
  4. i don't think Reason has "bad" bass i think alot of people are spoiled by VSTs that literally overwhelm you with artificial fatness the Subtractor is an amazing instrument and is capable of wide-ranging synthesis i think people need to spend the time getting to know their virtual instruments, rather than rapidly going through their VST folder dialing up all the bass pre-sets
  5. i remember hearing the single and not liking the use of vocals....are there many tracks here with singing?
  6. that Faerie Dragon cover is amazing what's the music like?

  14. just listening to this for the second time now, and it sounds beautiful i haven't heard this style for years loving it
  15. nice! i just watched a documentary about Robert Moog. he was definitely an amazing man and an ingenious inventor. i'd love to own a Moog one day, and your review has confirmed that desire. i still have some way to go before i would fully appreciate one though
  16. you probably don't want a 'dj program' to make music with i suggest using reason/fl studio/ableton live these programs have steep learning curves, but enable you to do almost everything hardware does (with some compromises) dedicate yourself to one program and learn to master it. it will take a long time, and you will need alot of patience don't expect to be making full tracks to begin with, mess around with drum patterns and melodies then slowly put it all together hope that helps i really like your avatar
  17. wow, that's amazing man. did the label plan it this way (ie ask the artists to produce music in a certain key) or was it all beautiful synchronicity? either way, sounds like i should give this a listen
  18. this is me http://www.last.fm/user/Druid83/
  19. electro? but they had so much organic warmth
  20. those vocals on the lead single were awful and detracted from an otherwise good track i don't think i like the new direction
  21. there seems to be alot of support for Distance To Goa 1 i own this album and apart from the Slinky Wizard and Total Eclipse tracks, i find the rest pretty plain. i will throw it on again now that i have read so many people recommend it
