My pirate Soulseek addicted brother gave me a cd with P-FUnk-Free Your Mind, and Your Ass will Follow (He says they recorded it tripping on acid), and Sly & the Family Stone-Dance to the Music. What am I gonna do, throw it away?! Nah... It was a gift... Surprisingly dancey titles from a guy who hasn't danced in years.

I liked a few of his compo tracks, they had their moments, the ones that come to mind are the 2 on Stone Age's Ctrl Alt Del. But this album, yes, is like a whole level above his previous work, even on recent comps (Neverending Story 2 for example).

Why is it awful!? Its a BOOK! A BOOK of MAGIC! its supposed to look like the cover of a really old arcane text or something. I don't see why that's bad... But I guess you can feel however you like about it. And I agree, its a great release!

It appears to be another name for certain kinds of 'dark'psy. To me, it brings to mind stuff like Parasense's older stuff, Gorump Peyya, stuff that's not 'dark' per se, but definitely full power getting into the brain stuff. I don't really know though... Someone on Isra gave an explanation but I can't find it... Seems like just another name for the same stuff. Also, there was a Deja Vu release, I'm A Program, that said on the cd: "Neurotrance-expanding your mind" and there was something like that on the DV site a while back... And, Ive never heard anyone call it Neuro or Trauma out here. Just another name, just another box to put it in. I just play the music.

Up until about a year ago, they had one of the old machines at an arcade at one of the casinos in Reno. Then the casino got bought by another company, and they took like 80% of the good games out... Including the best pinball machine on earth, The Addams Family, and Arkanoid 1 and 2. Fuckers. They replaced it all with a heap of motorcycle-racing garbage.

+1 I never got a copy Funraiser, every time I heard the samples I was kinda turned off... I love his compo tracks, especially the one on Chew on This. Horn Please is more like that, IMO. Still got the same Penta polychrome synths and clean as hell sound. And, as I said on Isra, this album helped me to avoid dying driving in a snowstorm the other day. Helped keep me awake and aware, after already driving for a long time... Thanks Nikita!

yeah, its been a long time since I listened to this one. She's got a newer mix, somewhere... (More in the 'dark' style, like Naked Tourist and Dissociactive, not really full throttle dark but not full on.) I bet I could find a tracklist for you if you like!
