  3. I know quite a few attractive ladies who are DJs. Not way-uber-world-popular djs, but who cares, they're hot! And Ive met them IRL! So thats instantly better than someone from across the world, who may not even speak English... As for well known dj/producers: Xyla (Reznik probably has fantasies ) SofiaX Fria Super Cozy umm... THats plenty!

  7. NP: Latest version of my latest track. No solid name yet...
  8. When I mix chill, I try to just keep a good flow going, playing songs that fit together, not necessarily beatmatched or anything. THe problem with chill, is the tempo varies so widely, it may not even be possible to match the beats. For example, Digital Talk's track Party People runs at 72bpm. There's no way, with only cdj-100s, that you can match that to something over 100bpm. Also, some chill is in a different time signature, that wouldn't be matchable with normal 4/4 time. Basically, I find a nice cue spot in the track Im bringing in, preferrably before the beats start if there are any, then wait for a good spot in the song that's playing, then just drop it in. Volume all the way down on the song going out, all the way up on the one coming in. Its sorta clunky that way, but what else can ya do, if the speed of the tracks is so widely varied? WHen you play chill you can pretty much play anything slow enough, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Ravi Shankar, even Reznik's downtempo-ambient-industrial stuff works. Lots more room to be creative than if you're mixing trance.

Oh yeah, there's some Cafu, Liquid Soul, one of the tracks off Afterhourz... I COULD go through my prog collection, and, track by track, find each one... but Im lazy right now...

    MAYHEM!

Brethren-Mayhem (Legend of Cane-Nexus Media) Phatmatix-Time Distortion (Sorcery-Yabai) Error Corrective-Optic Lock (Fade Instinct-Wildthings) ITP-Stop Killing the Animals You Stupid Fucks II (Lose Your Illusion-Sundance) Macotrax AKA Salem-Toluene (Far East Technology-ELF Music) Tristan-Terrordactyl (Chemisphere-Nano) Polaris-Replicant (Universe-Mandala) Chromatone-Mitochondria (Geospirit v1: Virtual Vortex-Geomagnetic.tv) Multistate-Legoland (Psionic Religion-Digital Psionics) DMMT-Passion (Africa Bombastic-Freefall) Commercial Hippies-No More Nights (If You Can't Stand the Heat..-Nano) Twisted System-Mad Method (The Turning-Timecode) http://www.sendspace.com/file/kx4lgt Yes there's a less-than-ideal transition in there, but its a good one otherwise. Just try to ignore it.
  12. Just about anything on Nano records, in particular AMD, Protoculture, Commercial Hippies, Aphid Moon... Any of the more recent (IE: non-oldschool) releases from Spirit Zone, tons of GREAT morning full on there... Pretty much anything from Geomagnetic.tv (www.geomagnetic.tv), there's some other-than-fullon releases from them too. Most everything on Digital Psionics is great. Check out Acidance, some more psychedelic-focused fullon, think Neuromotor and more recent Parasense. KETUH RECORDS!! Without a doubt, everything they've released has been great. Error Corrective-Fade Instinct ITP-Lose Your Illusion (Sundance) Brethren-Legend of Cane (Nexus Media) VA-Edge (Nexus Media) Phatmatix-Sorcery (Yabai) VA-Far East Technology (Elf Music) Psyside-Anomaly in Your Brain? (Morphonix)
  13. Exactly... Thats what I hope to accomplish, when everything is moving together to create a crashing, thrashing, twisting rhythm that, hopefully, will also be psychedelic as hell.
  14. I get ya! Ive been giving it a few listens lately, heard a few things I could do to make it better. There actually is something of a lead in there, its too quiet though. Needs to be more up-front... Any comparison to Parasense is a hell of a compliment in my book, thanks! Back to work....
  15. Yeah, the name isn't set or anything... Just one of the samples. Thanks for the nice feedback, Gaffel!
  16. http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...D45D5843CD3412A Pure psychedelic trance, at 152 bpm I believe. Maybe 150, I forget. Let me know what you think!
  17. A track of mine Ive been working on. Check the Music Promo section! I like it...
  18. Here's a track Ive been working on, still needs some work, but I think it sounds alright... Let me know what you think! http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...A1F36621515A1A5 (Quork isnt really the name of the song, just the name of the file. )
  19. Stumbled on this last night: http://www.psygarden.be/e107_plugins/galle...p?g2_itemId=339 Some incredibly amazing work, that actually LOOKS like psytrance... CHECK IT OUT. :posford: :posford: :posford: :posford:

Audacity is a freeware recorder, its what I used to record every mix Ive ever recorded. Its great, even has mastering utilities, if one was so inclined. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ (If you use a mic input, like I have to, you'll have to lower the master out on the mixer quite considerably. Play around with it before you start recording; what I do is find the loudest part of the track, start recording, and mess with the volume til I find the spot where the sound is loud, but not quite reaching the 0db level. You understand, I think. Its annoying because you have to keep messing with the monitor level every time you switch to channel monitors rather than master (at least, my mixer has that option, its a Pioneer DJM-300 with handy buttons for each monitor option) dunno what you use...)
  21. ^^^ I first heard Quasar, with Dylalien playing a Fractal COwboys set, while tripping harder than Ive ever tripped on acid! And knew right then and there that those guys know how to make some PSY-CHE-DELIC stuff! I was literally pinned to the ground in my tent, unable to move due to the sheer magnitude of insanity they were pumping out! And I lucked out, my tent was right in line with the stage monitors! Great release, need to give it another listen sometime real soon! Take more...
  22. 2 days ago, I plopped out a full (unmastered) track, and yesterday, I spent just as long and only wound up with 4 or so minutes. For me its a matter of how I feel, if Im tired, all that. When I started, it was like a track a minute! Now I can never really feel that a track is 100% done...
  23. NP: Commercial Hippies (don't remember the track, its the one in my morning mix I put up a while back, right before OOOD)
