  1. well there's a little something coming in december that might make change your outlook on that statement, keep an eye out for v/a - Vapour
  2. i fail to see how v/a - Durdom could be melodic... maybe kiriyama... and the same goes for cosmo... off course that's just my own little way of looking at the world
  3. i really liked the downtempo... as matter of fact i had 'tripping live' in my comp at home and decided to hunt it at work cause i wanted to hear it right now. good times
  4. i found this too be too much for me... in all respects... wicked in deed.
  5. i'm pretty sure there's a simpsons ep about that
  6. does your dealer agree? or is that already computed within 'basic necessities' ?
  7. heaven is gay club so there aren't any girl's bathrooms and the lines were usually nerve-wrecking. That and the fact there's funny paintings of muscular men in provocative posses on the walls, but besides that, it was pretty good... we sneaked in the VIP a couple of times... hihi
  8. that made me remeber the infamous nights those 2 had backtoback in club Heaven... it was a monthly thing for some time... some other times, it was only digweed ... eitherway... ufff... superb entertainment even if the musik wasn't all to my taste...
  9. Megaraver chill set (KDD, Osom, Cosmo, etc) megaraver death prog set megaraver satanic, bloodthirsty night set megaraver kilargh morning set
  10. wait i'm confused now, is Trentemoller IDM (autchre, aphex twin, plaid, smokers delight, etc) or is it what we psyheads call 'prog' ? does it matter?
  11. i don't grade stuff cause for me it feels like i'm involved in some test-grading exercise & that just dosen't seem fun. Personally, music is too ethereal to attach those judgements... especially cause opinions change... and the performance in itself of the track changes all the time depending on what you are playing... Sure some might find the use of it and thats good for them, but i hate numbers and try to dissociate myself from them as much as i can, so it's either... great... good... ehh... bad... maybe i should start using those
  12. tasty samples... anyone else thinking how well this would go with the Bufo album (which btw is sub par to this... ) but that's not the point.
  13. extremly multi-talented producer for sure. To the ones waiting for crazier stuff, not so moring oriented, he has another album coming out in Drop Out as well with heavier material.
  14. got any pictures of goldie freaking out after her 22th hour through Gil's set? those might interesting too...
  15. there's a whole lotta love in this thread, that's for sure.
  16. well i'm not livin in the uk... so 1.99 + 1 per wav... = 3 dollars.... yeah that's not too bad is it? well i mean... it's still not good, but not outrageous... ehhh..
  17. i feel a rant about this coming which i wanted to write the other day but i restrained myself, so i'll just have a go at it now and try to keep it brief. i don't know what's the advantage of fishing out good tracks and then paying double for them on a website than if it was a regular CD or vinyl. Since the majority of labels don't really have funds to obtain a selection of 10 great tracks for a compilation (i'm talking psy trance here), they need resort to a few fillers (which of course is very subjective issue). BUT If you can save the money spent on pressing plants and distribution, investing that money on more good music, i think people would stop seeing the added value of buying single tracks. People complain, i like the cd though, i like it too and i like the graphics, and i like stashing it away. Unfortunately the market is not recovered enough to allow those luxuries very regularly where you can get a 'cute' cd cover with amazing music all-round. So at the end you have to ask yourself, do you like buying plastic or good music? - provided you where given a choice. @bubbles: yes you know you are not paying for artwork, but they are charging you for it anyway buddy, so why the hell not get it? which brings me to my next issue. People want to see 1 dollar downloads on psychedelic trance, just like in itunes or whatever when a psy trance track is a) twice as long as any regular pop track is not funded by a big studio c) it's simply not enough to pay artists what they get per track right now with the current model. most of the music on itunes and every other shop in the world is already released on CD or vinyl, which means online sales are only an added bonus of the income sales, for the people that got a conscience and decided to buy the mp3. If you have an economic model that relies solely in online sales, the price -as provocative as it may seem- does not work, it's that simple, it's not even close to breakeven with psy trance sales. In the realworld you don't go to a store clerk and ask him to sell you a sandwich for 99c or you steal it... you probably go the other store that sells the sandwich cheaper... hopefully at some point online sales will have the same option.

    HOW!?

*sigh* well.. i don't want to turn into a cliche, but my personal experience is, you might need a pinch of psychedelic every now and again to keep the interest going... this is personally my case. Otherwise i can get by fine with chillout and other genre's but my whole interest seems to dissapate after a while. and not related strictly to psy, i will just gradually loose interest in music compared to a 'normal' interest level . Sometimes is just fine to give it a break after a good overdose of music for about a month, take a breather with no psy. I went through that phase for the last couple of months and now the interest is rising again after a while... it's normal for me. It is also very personal issue on how this situation changes for everyone...
  19. 6-10 on any given month sounds about right.
  20. wohoo.. V/A - Infernal intuition & Krumelur are in the mail... wirikuta delivery rocks
  21. that automatically makes him a sellout. in fact, i don't think we can call him psy trance anymore! let's have a vote...
  22. Ghreg on earth does not cease to amaze me, this guy is just doing stuff at another level right now. Electrypnose has gone mad and there's 150+ material on the limbo that sounds like Cosmo but with eletrypnose leads... it's tatsy... i'm waiting for new mind distortion system... the first samplers have been promising & so is the case with Hishiryo, even if Dejan's influence is still very marked with the 'night' time stuff... Athriom is also cooking some tasty dishes lately...
  23. i think people have all these expectations about new material from known acts. And some people wait for the old sound, some people hope it will evolve, some other ones hope it's something in between but not quite what they are doing. And at the end of the day, the only thing that's certain is that somebody is not going to like it, given their rigid concept of what is they should be doing. I guess quality permeates. Some other artists were great at the sound they originally had (alien project, astral projection) and the scene changed, the sound changed and they found their adaptation to the times was not succesfull. Some others evolved in the 'right' path... but what i'm seeing lately is that unless acts go to proggressive or some other predefined little cluster of genre, it's not very well received (at least in this little corner of the web) who knows how things really are out there huh? can't keep everyone happy.
