I've only heard dreamfish...
To the guy who didn't want static music: Don't buy Dreamfish!
Try some Orb stuff instead... Atleast i like that much better.
I don't think so. i listened my first time yesterday and it completely grabbed me. I'm not experienced in this kind of music at all, and you don't need to be! Just pay a little attention and you will see the greatness no matter who you are!
One of the most beautiful albums i've ever heard. Still i've only listened once
Sweden:
Atmos
Ticon
Son Kite
Vibrasphere
Dj Nitrogen
Hux Flux
Logic Bomb
Miranda
Human Blue
Derango
I will not name side projects, too many of them i think =)
I would also like to know something about the track 'Inner Space'. It is as a live version on Etnica's 2004 album, Sharp, but i also have it tagged as a Pleiadians song, album Etnicanet... Confusing, right? Maybe someone knows da answer?
Found these in a record store today:
Orb - U.F.Orb
Orb - Orbus Terrarum
Orbital - The Middle of Nowhere
I'm so happy, gonna listen later tonight.
BTW: DP, why do you call rock music 'dj tools'?
I really don't own any bad or unknown psy albums, but Goa 2003 volume 1 (from Y.S.E)seems to be just like any mainstream compilation but for me it's special because it was the first trance cd i bought.
Other than that, Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger is really the gem in my collection. I don't think psy will ever put out a better album to be honest
Nice list!
I'll try to make a short one for myself:
Prana - Alien pets
Hallucinogen - Space Pussy
Hallucinogen - Thugs in Tye-dye (Space Pussy CDS is like "best of simon posford" heh)
Psyko Disko - Mon Ami
Psyko Disko - Get Away
Zen Paradox - Floating without chemistry
Astral projection - soundform
Psychopod - universal mind
So, that'll be my list for now. mainstream-shit-everybody-heard-it-allready FTW
Yes, samples saying stuff like "and this is a preparation for the entering of the transcendent world... the ultra-dimension..." should just be banished from the genre.
Ok, the one i just came up with turned up quite cool and i'd love to hear it in a song but anyway, movie quotes just don't fit. Atleast they could write their own "lyrics"
Well Cinos, listen to ANY other goa release... Most melodies are pretty lame, most chord progressions are awkwardly predictable and a majority of the tracks have no emotions in them whatsoever.
Then listen to this...
