Front Line Assembly? I don't have that album, but i can imagine Anyway, Rhys & Fulber make great melodies and emotions so they are still good, albeit not masters.

I think he's just a friend of Hunter, Posford and the rest of the gang... A pal who got to make some tracks I've heard one track on the Yellow (or was it the Blue one?) compilation and it was quite good, different and acidic in a peaceful way.

Antic, it's almost 50 minutes long, so it's basically an album. Or rather, it is an album. There are CD's that are 24 minutes and still get to be called album (not in trance though, with these long tracks)

I use 256 too... It seems like it just overloads after a while, no matter if I use midi or audio. But now my 1024 meg computer is fixed so hopefully i can start making tunes there. However, audio should take less RAM, use it, even though it takes lots of time.

I agree totally You can find some resemblance to Rip van Hippy too, albeit more acid and straight to the point. This is totally different from everything else i've heard from them. The tracks, though, maintain a funky groove that they have in common with "the hungry forest".

I don't use internet radios, maybe i should. Is there any channel that has a good mix between a bit more rare oldschool (i.e. not AP, Hallucinogen, MFG etc) and newer stuff (preferably proggy)? I know it sounds like a bad mix but is there such a channel?

I can admit that the track has pretty good synthwork, but why did they sample the drums when they could have made their own? That's KLF crap.

Both are 2 kind of drum'n'bassy pieces. The latter is much faster, but they seem to use the same drum loop.... DRUM LOOP!? What the fuck is this... Here i've been, thinking that Science of the Gods is a total masterpiece and then they're using loops? GAH!!!!! Can anyone please confirm? EDIT: and now that i think of it, they use the same bassline too.... Maybe Eat Static made it, and then Equinox sampled some parts of the track and made a new track of it? If that's the case, Eat Static are still da masters

Bahamut: Yeah, I think it's so weird that Simon used so many samples in the Shpongle project while he proved he could create amazing soundscapes using only his imagination, on the Hallucinogen albums. I agree on that it feels kinda cheap. Still, he made all the excellent melodies, harmonies, synthetic drums and stuff like that by himself. Not to mention that the flute was actually recorded for the project and not stolen. I probably wouldn't be able to listen to it if those flutes were from a random sample cd

i would say there is MUCH more similarity between the psytrance cinos listens to and "dark psy" than between the ambient nick listens to and shpongle.

Now when you say, i've heard a chant sample that is in the tracks "instability" by shulman (i think, might be some other track by him) and in some track by children of the bong. also, there is this sample with a girl singing "aiiaaiiiaiiaaaaiaa-haaaa" that i've heard in tracks by the orb and antiloop.

Word. Although i haven't heard many samples several times.
