  1. Please do. Just moved into a new home and you inspired me to draw something similar... a plant or tree like something.
  2. Oh yeah, nice one Tatsu, I never ever got into Celtic Cross. Or Shulman. Pretentious emotionless stuff to me. Great production, no emotions. For me.
  3. I saw the topic title and immediately guessed it must've been bwail. Excellent topic.
  4. Indeed. One of the best compilations out there when it comes to psychill. I think every single remix is excellent; most of the originals were great in the first place, but the remixes take most of 'em to a higher level. It's like a big incestuous orgy of LSD artists. Ott doing Tripswitch, who does Ott in Return, Youth remixing Nada (part Abakus), Vatos Locos remixing US of Love (part Youth), Vibrasphere remixing Kumba Mela (part Youth, part a lot of other people) and to top it all off, Abakus is doing himself from behind in the final track. Sexy stuff. Every remix is as good - if not better - as the original. Very well done. Deep psychedelic chillout, that doesn't sound cliche.
  5. check isratrance forum. There are a few topics with kicks uploaded. Might be something for you in there. Otherwise there is more people checking the production forum. So more chance of getting a good answer.
  6. ^ Yeah, those are most definitely excellently put together. Love 'em.
  7. Greeks? Or other international psynewsers as well? Excellent info. Thanks. I should never be too hungover for a meet... and neither should anyone else. I remember a psynews meet at VooV a few years ago where GSH was just too wasted to do anything but lie on the floor twitching. And still it was a nice meet. Hehe. Oh, the memories...
  8. Mind Game I found extremely psychedelic. Check my thread on the movie... most definitely worth watching. A
  9. Not bad! Samples here... Hope this is as good as it sounds...
  10. Damn. I agree with the above poster. Makes me wanna listen to The Delta I M M E D I A T E L Y.
  11. I don't know which ones to recommend in that price range, but I want to make one important point. Do NOT buy DJ headphones! I imagine that doesn't go for producers' headphones, but if you buy headphones for djs, a big problem is that they might be very tight, in order to keep outside noise out. If you're dj-ing, that's not a problem, but for homelistening it's a pain in the, errr, ear. Really. I really wanted to use my dj-phones to listen to music while in trains or whatever, but it doesn't work... my ears start to get warm and start to hurt within 15 minutes. My DJ headphones are Technics RPDJ 1210. The ones I use for everyday listening are cheap (€30) AKG, but I really like the quality of those. Hope that helps even the slightest bit.
  12. On a sidenote, Bahamut, did you know Brian Eno will be performing at Schiphol (Amsterdam Airport) somewhere this month, or the next? Saw a poster hanging somewhere... also, I think he's performing some other places but am too lazy to find out right now. Just wanted to let you know.
  13. Dude, I don't get the point. Since Rock isn't exactly electronic music, and since the Topic is about essential non-psytrance electronic albums, that's what the recommendations came from. I think it's quite narrow-minded to say "eeeew, I don't like your music, so I won't put my elitist taste in the same topic, cause maybe they'll touch weeners and then I'm gay" or whateverthefuck. Narrow-minded shit, if you ask me. Psynews, indeed. Psychedelic music, yes. But everybody seems to get hung up on that same moniker. Very boring. Now if you don't like hiphop, ignore those recommendations. But be asured that hiphop is most definitely electronic and non-psytrance music, and thus has its place in this topic. Also, I recommended a split but since there's no mods around anymore, it won't happen. Instead of bitching, post a few recommendations, I'd be more than happy to know what you would consider essential and electronic. Fosku's list is quite good, for example, and since I like what he posted, I shall download what I don't know, listen to it, and thus broaden my horizon. That's exactly what I like forums for. To expand my knowledge, to share ideas and to exchange information. Now, if you're missing a non-electronic but psychedelic subforum, go complain to Mars. But more effective would be to just open a thread about psychedelic rock, post some samples of Ozric Tentacles, Phish, Pink Floyd or the Greatful Dead and discuss there. I really don't see why you would need to be negative about this topic. My 2c-b.

    Mind Game

Finally saw this one for the first time last night. Fuck! Why didn't I see this before? What a great movie. Very very psychedelic, some scenes very were to me excellent representations of how I feel shit might go down, once you get there (this is intentionally vague, in order to not spoil anything). Varying styles of animation, all the time, which in the beginning was too weird for me, especially cause you don't get the hang of the movie straight away, but after a while some sort of storyline develops and things get more linear and start making a bit more sense. What a feast for the eyes, and candy for the brain too. I think one of the most psychedelic movies I've watched in a long time... fits right into that topic too, but I wanted it to have its own topic. It deserves one. Your thoughts?
  15. Haha. I suggested a split, but there's no one left with modding powers to do it. Don't remove your recommendations, Bahamut. I liked 'em but forgot what they were exactly...

    Berlin Calling

Has anyone seen Berling Calling yet. A movie about techno artist Ickarus. Played by Paul Kalkbrenner. Great movie and great soundtrack! And funny as hell too. Some flavours of trainspotting, acidhouse and one flew over the cuckoo's nest. Recommended!
  17. Woohoo! My gf is half Greek, and I will be spending almost the whole month in Greece... would be awesome to meet some fellow psynewsers once again. Did it at VooV, had a small meet at the Twisted party in London (where I actually briefly met Trunksan), and we should most defo' do it again at Aurora. I tried emailing the organisers into letting me play set at the chillout stage, but well... I think they've got enough class acts already, hehe. Once we get closer to the festivaldate, we should meet at the chillout at some point, dontcha reckon? I'll wear a red rose in my breastpocket.
  18. Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. Let's put it mildly. I don't really like it.
  19. Nice recommendations, guys. I'm downloading new (old) stuff as we speak. Nice. [e] Freestyle Fellowship, tight rapping yo. I like. np: Danja Mowf. Kinda okay, not completely convinced yet. What about these goodies? DJ Format - Music for the Mature B-Boy Dilated Peoples - The Platform The Pharcyde - Labcabincalifornia Digable Planets - Reachin' [A New Refutation of Time and Space] High and Mighty - Homefield Advantage Goddamn, I wish there were someone with modding powers around... this most definitely deserves a split!
  20. Jimi Tenor - Beyond the Stars Some nice moments, but can't say that I like most of it... next try will be Higher Planes. Anyone familiar with Mr. Tenor?
  21. Yeah baby. Some of my favorite alltime hiphop classics. Must suck to produce a debut like these... If we're gonna play it like that, I have quite some things to add too... Mos Def - Black On Both Sides Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek - Reflection Eternal - Train of Thought Mos Def & Talib Kweli - Are Black Star Pharoahe Monch - Internal Affairs De La Soul - 3 Feet High and Rising KRS One - KRS One KRS One - Return of the Boom-Bap Beastie Boys - Check Your Head Beastie Boys - Ill Communication Boogie Down Productions - Criminal Minded The Fugees - The Score (used to be the best selling hip hop album ever, not so sure if it's still that way... essential nonetheless tho'!) Cypress Hill - Temples of Boom Cypress Hill - Black Sunday Gang Starr - Step in the Arena Dr. Dre - The Chronic Fuck... I know a lot more, but don't have access to my cd collection right now... this might keep some of y'all hiphopheadz occupied. But seriously, if you don't know these and claim to love hiphop; shame on you! While we're at it, anything interesting that came out in the last - say - seven years? Haven't bothered to dig through the piles of shit.
  22. Richard Cheese - Relax If you're in the right mood for it, Richard Cheese can be fuckin' hilarious. And if you're not, too. Hehe.
  23. yes, but the dynaudio's are not in the 500-1000 $ range. Although i think it would be better to save up. And don't forget to do some accoustic treatment! Otherwise it doesnt really matter what monitors you are getting.
  24. What Seraph and Otto said. Very entertaining and quite funny too.
