  1. HUVA NETWORK - [ Ephemeris ] - coming really soon The two boys made it again. After a few travels Sweden-France and vice-versa, Solar Fields and AES Dana cooked up 10 immersive tunes infused with oniric trip-hop, ambient geometries and morning trance. The album is planned for an early March release. We'll be putting audio samples online soon and launch pre-orders next week with another of our newsletters. [ Ephemeris ] is a deep sonic ground swell, an album of contrasts, 10 tracks structured upon subterranean bass lines, transversal and luminous pads, crisp, crunchy beats. A mesmerizing ensemble of fresh atmospheres and intense, forward driving melodies. The inspiration for the album title comes from the artists Vincent Villuis and Magnus Birgersson's collaboration process, determined by the patterns of encounter in time and space, the alignment of creative moods and coordination of life's innate forces. :posford: :clapping:

  3. My thoughts exactly, Billy + guitar on every picture I saw from the last few months
  4. BTW, "Da Budet" means "Let There Be" (Let there be light = Da budet svet).
  5. More and more guys from Ukraine release their albums, good They've played on our parties for 2 times, not exactly my cup of tea, but people seem to enjoy their music. Interesting fact: Overdream = Makus and Dana, they got married not so long ago, and the girl isn't for decorative purposes, interesting duo

Max Payne Boring and stupid, but Olga Kurylenko is hot ...though she dies in first 15 minutes :/ Every outdoor scene is filled with cheap artificial snow that never turns into water.

I'm watching movies again! The Departed Good, recommended. (Director: Martin Scorsese; Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Alec Baldwin) Wasn't expecting this to be good, it turned out to be quite impressive. Slipstream Boring, schizophrenic, warped reality movie . (Director, writer: Anthony Hopkins) I got nightmares after watching this. Hopkins didn't do anything new and I think there are better examples of this kind of movies. Den Brysomme mannen Recommended to psynews members. Nice aesthetics. 21 I can't even remember how many times I was told that this is "Sooooo awesome!" and I didn't really like it, it has it's moments, of course. I can't even remember it's ending, maybe that's because I was watching it with a girl and ... 11:14 Same as above, that girl says she really likes watching movies with me titled with numbers. Any recommendations? Righteous Kill Probably one of the worse movies with Al Pacino and Robert de Niro I've seen, it also features 50 Cent... :/ Candy Another "Don't do drugs, kids" kind of movie with Heath Ledger about h-addicts. Nice, actually. The Fountain Worth a watch, definitely. Recommended. Burn After Reading Entertaining, funny, good acting. Recommended, don't expect too much though. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button I really liked it, some say this is garbage though, but I can't remember enjoying anything as much in a long time.
  8. Every YSE compilation features already released tracks (there are exceptions, of course). Also they've released few pretty nice albums, but in general they compile VA's with "hits" for the wide audience and it doesn't appeal to me at all.
  9. Deep night, track 2 just started and I already know this album won't be leaving my playlist soon.
  10. It's high time 80% of the guys involved in psytrance moved to some electro-house and regular trance.
  11. It's not really an album, so you can't judge it as such. This is rather a collection of tracks, few new ones, some remixes, the last track has been previously released as an mp3 in their shop. In general, this is high quality (as you would expect from the duo) ambient and dance-floor oriented music, with this step they take themselves to a new level broadening the audience. Also, you can't notice the change in sound - warm analog synths are added to the usual Vibrasphere sound. Not sure I'll enjoy Lungs of Life as frequently, but I'd definitely want to hear some tunes played in parties. What's interests me most is their side-project Hyzer. By the way, Insueno (Morning Mix) was previously featured on Hyzer's myspace, since it has been moved to Vibrasphere, one would expect Hyzer to sound less melodic, more techy and minimalistic a la the latest Antix but with a Vibrasphere touch and that will surely overshadow all of those wannabe minimal/tech artists you can see today.
  12. Strange cover, never really got into Celestial Dragon's obscure compilations, it rather looks like a collection of tracks.
  13. This really does sound good, I've had a few listens and after a week gave it another try in headphones lying on the bed — it felt like some old special album you have filled with your memories, associations, you feel like home listening to it. I wonder what happens to this album with time, maybe it will indeed have a special place in my discography. In short — edges met successfully.
  14. Helios — Eingya (Type Records, 2006) http://www.discogs.com/Helios-Eingya/release/653267 Gentle, emotive ambient with instruments.
  15. I use Beatport, Juno and Boomkat for album previews.
  16. DVD has 3 letters and search works only with 4 and higher, I made the same mistake
  17. Everyone should listen to his previous album, it will appeal to a wider audience. Thanks to Basilisk for listing it in last year's "best of" =)
  18. A place to share your impressions and recommendations of albums from 2008 that are not psytrance. Proper text formatting and descriptions much appreciated!
  19. This one and his previous album are probably my favorite full on albums.
  20. http://www.discogs.com/release/1577807 it was available at his web-site at that time
  21. Post your impressions after you listen to the actual cd
  22. Even 11 & Blue Planet Corporation - City Slickers is the anthem of full on and prog, european response to neon isra blasters. The rest of the compilation doesn't appeal to me at all.
  23. Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio > Equipment Forums > Headphone Amps (full-size) Although if you are planning to use hp's for production, I think that good external audiocard should have a normal output and achieving neutral sound from an amp is pretty expensive. Oh, well... good luck
  24. Source/Soundcard -> Headphones = Bad Source/Soundcard -> Amp -> Headphones = Good Without an amp, the sound is pale and plastic compared to the scheme with an amp (if you like your sound confident, juicy and thick). Loudness has less to do with this than you think. Just try any decent amp's hp-out, and dedicated hp-amps are even better. Driving 250/300 Ohms and up is hard Dunno about production, though.
