  1. I'm definitely split between Infinitism and Earth Crossing can't choose so I'll say BOTH :posford:
  2. I really like both, but gun to my head and I have to choose - I take FSOL just have always had a spot in my heart for them. Tough choice - great question.
  3. just got liquid journeys - dig it, dig it is there a new one coming out this year?
  4. gave it 3 listens today, back to back to back loved it, loved it, loved it one of my more recent favourites well done
  5. 1) Skazi /is/ ugly 2) It's hard to judge the guy's wedding 3) IM had a good run - R.I.P. 4) Thank God there's lots of good psy still being made
  6. home is where the party is I love the freedom of being able to do whatever I want without fear of some sort of social rejection and also, living in California - there simply are not that many great parties around where I live so I have to make it up as I go along too bad, because I would not mind the occasional party or even a club that plays good music
  7. Indeed. Probably the case most of the time. Some times the labels just push something particular regardless of the sentiments of the artists. And we all know that the labels (or at least label management) don't always have the best taste because they simply are not artists.
  8. I really enjoy the entire art experience of a record and while the cover doesn't directly change the music, I do have certain expectations for what I hear associated with what I see on the cover. Especially when there is nice psychedelic artwork on the cover. Just as an appreciator of the whole music experience in general, I'd say I really enjoy everything from the music to the cover to the liner notes etc. Bravo to the artists who strive to have representative art to match the style or mood they were looking to convey with the music but by the same token, nothing taken away from the artists who do not put a premium on cover art. Some albums I love a lot don't really have much in the cover department in my opinion (like the self titled 1200 Mics, or Alien Protein) >2 of my all time faves btw. Anyway - I don't think it's a silly topic - I enjoy all music / art / psy related discussion - its good for the mind. and +1 for dark music - I'm really starting to love so much more and more of the darkpsy stuff. Though I kinda dig tons of music these days - and really look forward to seeing how the music matches the art. psyON
  9. looks to be a pretty good year for goa still a lot of months left in the year, and hopefully some nice surprises still coming I remain hopeful enjoying merr0w, filteria, solar spectrum, apsy, minoru and a few others (yes I know a bit of prog stuff here, but I'm a fan of a wide base of stuff) also really enjoying dark ozz, disco hooligans, side liner and psykovsky new records support it all I say, lest I have to start mixing the stuff myself! thanks to all djs and compilers everywhere cheers 2009!
  10. anything you can do to not use iTunes is what I would recommend apple has nice hardware but the software is unbelievable bullshit plus, and for the life of me I just do not know why, but they still refuse to support FLAC I know they have their own ALAC format, but cmon, get with the times already... enough anti-apple soapboxing... sorry I would get an iRiver or something that has a simple media player on it where you can just drag and drop files and not have to use some conduit software the Archos are nice as well I've heard, but I think they are large and expensive still, I would not go with bullshit garbage iTunes no matter what the user should be allowed to have control over the way they use their music without the nonsense anyway... happy hunting (PS - I still often times just record vinyl (or CD) to tape and use a portable cassette player - really brings back the romance of making mix tapes-- >not to mention the analogue sound quality is very nice and cassette players can be small and cheap as well)
  11. everyone stop hatin' support the artists and stop worrying about who puts who on what chart besides, it's not anyone's fault if they end up being popular show some love, like what you like, and don't worry what someone else thinks of it love AP, the Filteria record is nice and I do hope there is a real Goa revival anyway - my 2 cents peace
  12. Really dig your mix my friend. Well done. Love the darkpsy stuff - keep up the good work. Cheers
  13. I tend to agree with this kind of system because less is better. Not sure how people are supposed to navigate the scene with 50 million genres. Thanks for making it simple and organized. [- psy is a state of being -]
