I have actually a quite - well, very - big list of "most wanted albums"... you know why? Because I refuse to pay more than 5 Euros for music! Well, okay, for really good pieces I go up to 10 Euros. But that's upper limit! An excerpt of the list: S-Range - Space Etnoscope - Drums From The Dawn Of Time Dimension 5 - Transdimensional / Second Phaze Ra - To Sirius Eat Static - Abduction Beat Bizarre - Lewd / Pandoras Groove Box Magnetrixx - Trittschall / Phase Shift Koxbox - (all of them) Banco De Gaia - Last Train To Lhasa Aes Dana - Season 5 Makyo - Yakshini ...

same here that's why I'm single When I go talking to a nice girl all is well until it comes to music. When I start talking about music and this goa/psy trance stuff and what parties I go to they just always give me that unknowing look with a faint smile (just like if they were thinking "ok, that one is a bit crazy ... no, he's actually quite crazy ... I just keep listening so that he doesn't know what I think of him") ... and then it comes out they may find me nice, but don't want anything from me at all because I am obviously too twisted for them. It is like that. Either that or they are crazy or weird or twisted aswell and I don't like that, so I don't want anything from them. Is like that.

yes and there isn't even a sample of it on Saikosounds ... only of Mission Impossible, the other track on that 12" and I'm not a filthy downloader anymore, you can't even request it from me dude, I know your replies were made up answers your post was about the fact you thought you could predict the outcome that everybody will say "both are important", wasn't it? well, I showed you that you couldn't. not everybody will say "both". I don't

haha, I like that description

ETNOSCOPE! ETNOSCOPE! Be freakin' sure to check out ETNOSCOPE! Practically every single one of their tracks is a gem! Intense tribal madness! They are the masters... But Antix - Lull is tribal? I'd not really say so (I only know one song from Antix that I would say is tribal and that's Can't Quit...) ... but anyway, I think that the dude won't really like it as he said he is rather searching for fullonish stuff...

well, unfortunately I never got any answer to my e-mail However, I have now found out that the new Spiral Trax will not be run by DJ Anti. It's some other guy behind it ... but I forgot the name ... just wanted to add that here
-
Also don't forget a new Atmos album which will come out sooner or later on Digital Structures. Heard his live set last night where he presented some tracks of it and they sounded really good to me ... it's likely that the new Atmos will be one of the best albums released this year

no, you don't remember the example I gave ... Matenda - Bonaca? Listen to that and tell me where the melody hides ... because I don't hear much of a melody there. But the track is one of my favourites! How come that? Because of the bassline? Well, I'd say it's not only because of the bassline, but that one is definitely a very important factor why I like the track
-
Sometimes I dig the bassline more and sometimes the melody. It depends. When I listen to Matenda - Bonaca I dig the bassline, when I listen to S-Range - On A Mission I dig the melody. Overall I might say I'm a bit more of a sucker for basslines though. But a track consists of far more than that - samples and effects and all that. And there are tracks that basically have neither a realy good melody nor a really good bassline (IMO) and I'm enjoying them more than anything else - best example is Noma - Soon So I voted both. But it still takes more than one or both of those elements to make a good track.

yes, I second that! Abduction is one of my favourite Eat Static songs. It's perfect, chilled and beautiful. I love it

I think Psychopod needs more attention on this forum
RTP replied to jivamukti's topic in General Psytrance
ah, I see ... I knew about Koxbox and Saiko-Pod only and always thought when people talk about Psychopod they mean Saiko-Pod because the names are pronounced the same way... -
also try their Introphaze/Vattensørja 12" ... that is the least crazy one

I always thought Psychopod = Saiko-Pod ? -
heh, I always go home in the early morning ... at six or so ... never stayed until the end, never!
-
at least the first track title speaks the truth: Psytrance is going nowhere!
-
Etnoscope? They are more of a tribal madness to me than this "hugging progressive" ... but the sound enwraps you indeed, that is true.
-
yeah ... they obviously want to pee on the white shirt...

I should have Kindzadza here a year ago, but he got stuck in Kazakstan for some reason and couldn't get a tourist visa for Austria and couldn't come bummer

no, I actually never went to Scooter, but I was thinking that if I was on a Scooter concert the people would also scream like crazy at every break and during every tune just like on the party I was at that time. I wouldn't have been surprised if all of a sudden Scooter would appear on stage. That was my feeling. I felt like on a Scooter concert although I never have been to one
-
indeed, there's also the first released Red Seal track on it good, so I will start trying to get those Flying Rhino compilations somewhere...

Scooter Concert! I had the vision being on a Scooter concert! But that makes no difference, I felt the same like that guy ... only I was not at Sonnenklnag but at some normal gig, but anyway. Yes, the dude is very right (and it's a really good post ... such intellectual talk doesn't fit to Isratrance I always thought). But when the development of our music is like that you can't really stop it, there's too many people that prefer the mindless drug crap music. Or well, they probably don't care and would not be able to distinguish Dimension 5 from Skazi in their drugged up minds. And industry noticed. That's why they now release cheap crap music. Because nobody cares! Or well, the ones who care are in such a minority that it doesn't harm business when they don't buy releases/go to parties. The expanding of the mindless scene is still bigger and stronger than the amount of people that jump out of it. That is the point: we just have to wait until the drop-out rate is higher than the expanding rate, then industry will see that they will make less and less money and stop hyping it and slowly leave the terrain until in the end it will be calm again. But we must have the patience to wait until this point, which is god knows when. Until then it will get worse and worse. And still worse. It will expand so much that in the end you have the people there in our scene you'd never have wanted there. But the industry doesn't matter - CDs are sold, tickets are paid, money is earned. And that's the only thing that matters to them. The going down of the scene doesn't even come to their minds, it's their profit after all. All in all the unfotunate fate we thinking psyheads that still go to parties share is, that we actually give a damn about our scene! And the others don't. And they are in the vast majority. Just wait until the chavs come. They are already there, but wait until they come in masses! Then there will be poice raids not because of drug issues, but because of mass fights and violence!

Hi I got this album from Red Seal, Black Ops, since quite some time already. And I must say I like that style ... the chilling vibe that swings with it in some tracks is very cool. Lately I have been coming across it again and I must say it would be quite nice to have some more music in that direction. I like this chilling style, mixed with dub and occasionaly even a few hip hop elements. I tried to find some stuff, but found nothing suitable ... either it's too psy-chill like or it's too much hip hop (I don't like hip hop, you know ... but funnily enough Red Seal have just the right amount of it in it that I actually like it!). Can anybody recommend me something? Would be cool...
