Most excited about that new Ra track. I really wish for a new uptempo album soon. Also Nebula Meltdown, Imba&Ephedra and Sirius sound very good. I have to point out, though - and maybe I'm gonna be in the minority here - but the Lepton Head remix sounds not so good. I said this back when Jannis posted it on the soundcloud page as well. I don't know, something about it just sounds hollow. We'll see. Don't know about the cover, I love the colors but not sure if anything else. Maybe a grower.

That's funny, I see Planet Riders voted a couple times there but no-one actually bothered to chime in on the review thread. Feelslonelyman.

For me the Juno sound feels evergreen. The journeys the tracks portray are always as intense, vivid and deep. Only transmissions sounds dated, as it is a 1993 product - even then, you can find storytelling and depth in those tracks. The rest of the discography is certainly evergreen though. I absolute adore the music Juno Reactor has graced us. It's nothing like other Goa or other music for that matter. Great atmospheres and journeys.

I thought Phototropic went out of business as there was no news whatsoever. Sounds good. -

http://www.beatspace...urs/detail.aspx 1. Alien In My Room (intro) 2. UFO 3. Astral Colours 4. Space Journey 5. Core Of The Universe 6. No Gravity 7. Astrophysics 8. Eyes Of The Moon 9. You Are Not Perfect After a long time and hard work, finally the first album "Astral Colours" is being released out now. The sound is some kind of music that would take you high and makes u travel to the stars. The genre is Melodic Goa, the tracks contain many influences of acid techno and melodic trance music. Outer space is the main concept of the album, also science and spiritual atmospheres are present. These tracks are recomposition of the tracks produced by Doruk between the years 2005-2008. Any kind of trance listener can find something related with his/her own taste of music. Dunno why there was no official promo. Seems to be in the spirit of Artifact303 and Liquid Flow new school stuff.

Sounds like a damn cool twist to it. -
I really hate the connection with drugs people usually make. Don't need drugs for this music to be awesome.

Because your post made it seem like you wanted people to mention their favourite labels, I'd say.

I don't remember about the movies of 2011 much at all.. battle L.A. was awful america-fuckyeah crap. Transformers 3 was beautiful and had good action but thats about it. Super8 first half was good.

I use Saikosounds the most out of those stores, psyshops horror stories have put me off and beatspace has the european tax. Arabesque is just distribution no? I don't even know if they have a shop.

For computer components good one's are Guru3D and overclockersclub. I used to read Hardocp but their editors are a bunch of jerks and the community is just circlejerk altogether, their graphs are nice though.

Cover and name made me check this one out and I'm glad I did. Reminds me of some other projects, like Cybernetika and Fractal Glider but generally still unique. Love the ultra thick dark cyberpunk-esque atmospheres and groove, the basslines work wonders. This is well produced darker psytrance but not darkpsy per-se. A little surprised it was free. At least why not try to get it on ektoplazm? I'd like more people to hear this. Highlights: Nucleogenesis, Crystal Silence, Midnight Inspector, Comatose, Twilight Zone, Storm, Endless Universe(Great ender, I'd like to hear more of this kind of laid back style) Though I must mention that the little stutters on the first half of Double Trouble are super distracting and sound like my player is skipping, doesn't work well as an effect honestly and they take away from an otherwisely good track. -
So, is the Lapsus - black gold track going to be on the x-evangelion? I wouldn't mind that at all.
-
Seriously?

Well an idea would be to make a site dedicated for such poll(s)(best of noughties2, best of 00's). It could require an email to vote and the link for it could be spammed everywhere to get the most votes. Just having psynews's own is just not really worth it imo.

Get it people. One of the best remix albums ever.

From psytrance it is indeed mostly goa. I do like some exceptions for example the new Juno Reactor remix album with a lot of prog tunes, Talpa from psytrance or stuff like Enichkin, which is more intelligent and softer darkpsy. Many more too but these are just examples. Very rarely do I listen to full-on and when I do, it's usually the very best of full-on. Aside from that the counterbalance comes from other electronic genres. Goahead for life. I do wish we'd have more members so we could have more varied and colourful discussions though. Lurkers don't be scared to join in and give your 2cents.
