Agreed. I only listen to it on special occasions and everytime I'm deeply impressed by what's going on; the manipulation, the melodies, the flow, and so on. Although there are other equally great albums out there, there are absolutely no albums that can match The Lone Deranger as far as joyful earthy mushroom madness is conserned. Nine years after its release it's still at the top. Some individuals might enjoy other albums more, but The Lone Deranger album remains the most impressive sonic manipulation achievement within the boundaries of psychedelic trance.

One of the few albums I bought back in 2003, not a masterpiece, but certainly worth the attention. There's this old Koyote vibe present in some of the tunes, and I love old, melodic, twisted and weird Koyote releases. Mexican Jesus rules.

The best album of 2006 so far, and I'm pretty sure it will stay that way.

John Bauer, the swedish painter who made that painting, is one of my favourite artists. That particular painting was used in a swedish childrens book called Bland tomtar och troll (in english it's called Swedish Folk Tales), he was also the editor for that book. In Sweden the book is considered to be a classic. Bauer has managed to capture the magic feeling of the swedish forests like no other artist. This compilation is among the first and as such it's a valued collectors item and the fact that the tracklist and the actual tracks are great and the print is small makes the price so high. Even though Transdimensional might be better (I don't think they can be compared), it's not as important as this compilation.
