Saltwater is probably one of the most played tracks and has been featured on just about every compilation that showcases the 'best' of trance. Overlap and Low Sun are extremely good ambient/easy listening tracks which again have been showcased to death. Autumn Tactics is one of my favourite tracks - very housey with a strong vocal lead - and then you have the Thrillseekers remix of Saltwater which is pretty stunning. I got the two disc special edition (2003) on special at HMV (impulse buy) and I've been spinning at least one track/day from the album. Quality work. Well if you mean 'popular' trance then you're absolutely right. It's a very easy album to get into and like, which is why it's perfect for the summer. But it's by no means cheesy. Best thing with music is not to assume and read up on releases before judging them. Samples are generally the best way. General process: EITHER: 1a. Read review on Psynews. OR: 1b. Check Saikosounds / Psyshop / Other Store for samples. THEN: 2. Dig around for reviews on the Internet. 3. Sometimes post a topic about the CD(s) in question. 4. Ask friends about the release on MSN. 5. Generally CDs from a year or two back have something written about them, so the 'Search' function comes in handy. THEN: 6a. Buy the release! OR: 6b.
