  1. Artist: Lunar Dawn Title: The Purge Label: Neogoa Records Date: July 31, 2022 Tracklist:- 1. Being Into The Trance 2. Divisive 3. Loose Me 4. Self Aligned 5. Liquefactive Neurosis 6. My Faith 7. Volatile 8. Being In A Trance 9. Out Of This Place Well Well Well. That didn't take long and I'm not surprised. Of course Neogoa came back, they had Lunar Dawn to release. It's essential and necessary and sometimes that means that you put your life aside for a moment for a higher purpose. . . Filthy Goa Trance The musical styling of this release was a surprise. The cover gives it away but still, when I think Lunar Dawn I think tribal Eastern European melodies n rhythms'. Well not no more, this sounds like the creation of hanging Lunar Dawn in a cage with UX over the volcanic pit of our past and our future for 3 years. That changes a man. As always, if you want people to keep making this music for our sweet little minds then giving them money for their work is a pretty good incentive. https://neogoarecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-purge
  2. I'm happy to announce our next release: Swaratrip & Friends - Twilight Patterns full digital album, to be released via Bandcamp in August 2020. More informations will be posted soon!
  3. OUT NOW! https://bit.ly/FloralCortex After short break we're back again with another psychedelic Goa trance gem from the northern Europe entitled Floral Cortex. It's a debut album of Frode Ungar, a talented producer and musician from Maan project, which we already introduced on our Dimensional Gateway 5 compilation, back in 2017. The name (Maan) is derived from a special location in the south-west of Norway called Mån, a place where creativity and inspiration evaporates through the very pores of nature. With Floral Cortex, three years after the release of Field Quanta track, Maan is ready to take us on his journey once again, but this time through the deep & foresty atmospheres of biomechanical worlds where artificial creativity exists. As his music progresses, you will feel the connection between the organic and mechanical sounds, the neverending loop which greatly represents the extensive influences and styles found on the Floral Cortex ranging from ritualistic tribal and even norse pagan atmospheres towards more progressive and metalic Goa trance vibes, spiced up with forest and techno influences. Floral Cortex is scheduled to come out on 31st of May 2020 in digital and limited CDr format Pre-order at Bandcamp: https://bit.ly/FloralCortex Artist: Maan Album: Floral Cortex Label: Neogoa Records Release date: 31st May, 2020. 4. Artist: GoaD Title: Hypnotic Mirage Label: Neogoa Records Release: Dec 2019 (digital), Jan 2020 (CDR) Tracklist Part 1 - Hypnotic Mirage 1. Flight Prelude 03:01 2. Two Bright Lights 06:57 3. Intoxicant Engine 06:18 4. Astrodiver 06:19 5. Mission Out Of Control 06:12 6. Unwanted Passenger 06:12 7. Hostile Contact 07:27 8. Aerial Anomaly 05:37 9. Hypnotic Mirage 06:38 10. Extraction 07:35 11. The Little Blue Dot 04:03 Part 2 - Galactic Aviator Remastered 12. Submerged On Ganymede 07:51 13. Outer Passage 06:32 14. Intergalactic Gates 07:13 15. Other Species 06:57 16. Tripping Astronaut 06:13 17. Galactic Aviator 06:33 18. Alien Pursuit 08:09 19. Goa Delerium 08:52 20. Mystic Presence 06:00 21. Lost In Time 06:26 22. Temple Monkeys 07:51 What can I say? By the end of 2019 we have had a huge amount of quality goa releases. Suntrip, Goa Madness, Global Sect, ... they all delivered big time. I'm still in the process of listening and eh well... processing what the talented goa artists gave us this year. Reviews will be added to the threads shortly. Yet an unexpected appearance in 2019's goa catalog made me write a (short) review so you are sure not to miss it. And buy it! Neogoa records sometimes shoots a limited CD release to us and this time its GoaD's Hypnotic Mirage. Immediately when I heard the samples I felt this was an outsider amidst all the goa violence we got this year. Danish Anders Munk manages to melt old school sounds with a warm and thick hypnotic spectrum of sounds. And "hypnotic" is the key word here. Every track is submerged in hypnotic acid bubbles that go on and on until your brain is addicted to it. So beautiful. The mastering is super so your ears can have a break while listening to this masterpiece. Modern goa that doesn't follow any formula, but sticks to a warm hypnotizing feeling. There is not one single filler track. The second part of the release is a remastered version of his previous album Galactic Aviator. Reviews can be found HERE. The progress between the two albums is very noticeable. Hypnotic Mirage sounds much more modern and full to me. GoaD is steadily improving his sounds and production skills. This album is a topper already and I'm sure he will deliver much more in the future. What a surprise! Just ordered the limited CDR. What other choice do I have? 5. Title: Astronauts In Space Artist: VA Label: Global Sect Date: September 9, 2019 1. Rayavarna - Countdown To Ascension: 2. JIS - Mercury 3. Median Project - Venus 4. Ypsilon 5 - Terra Firma 5. Skarma - Mars 6. Mindsphere - Spectacular Purity 7. Triquetra - Chronos 8. Tomocomo - Warp To Uranus 9. Ephedra - Saturn 10. Proxeeus - Pluto 1. Countdown To Ascension - A proper stormer that starts this comp off in a very positive direction. A seriously enjoyable melody and fantastic premise maintained all the way to the end. I couldn't imagine a crowd that wouldn't get their socks off to this track. 2. Mercury - A faster pace and low roars help you continue your way around our suns closest planet. Carrying you on lovely waves of sonic wonder & melodies of ecstatic apprehension ,JIS travels us around the extremes of our star and the light shines bright and wonderful. 3. Venus - At first I wasn't captivated. I think I was expecting Constellations and got In The Depth Of Space That's the thing about releasing an extraordinary album. But there was nothing I didn't enjoy about Depths Of Space And hardly I think I don't mind about this track. Some of the moments might have went for a few phases too long not allowing the final act to gain real momentum and release. But once the final act does come, it hardly matters what comes before. 4. Terra Firma - Despite my love for the other artists on the album Ypsilon 5's track was the one that I was most interested in. Paranormal is one of my all time tracks, there is never a moment where I don't want to listen to it. Well Terra Firma has undoubtedly been created on a modern strain of inspiration, but Ypsilon 5's sound and style hasn't been lost an iota. At times floaty, exciting and bouncy. That final act is a real treat too, an obvious master at his craft and a favourite from the comp. 5. Mars - First listen I was definitely into it straight away, since then I have only enjoyed it more even thinking that it's one of the stand outs from the compilation. The way the layers intersect and meld together to wrap the track into webs of enjoyment is testament to the Skill we get so often from Skarma. There'll be an album one day yea? 6. Spectacular Purity - It's not the Mindsphere style I have listened to on other comps, this makes it all the more thrilling, in fact it's like every track I here from Ali is unique and thrilling. The second listen I was definitely more into it and now I think it's one of the stand out display of Mindspheres talent 7. Chronos - I have a rule, if you're gonna call a track Chronos, then smash that shit. In my car where I listen to most my music now days I didn't think they had quite done it, felt like random parts thrown in without a connecting flow. On a proper set up this track comes to life. The moments all subtly connect while the energy gets thrown at you over and over after psychedelic breaks flip your brain. 8. Warp To Uranus - I'm not going to pretend like it's not brave to put a track with 'Uranus' in the title on the internet. What does have that got to do with the track however? Hardly much. The song starts with a cool premise that cruises along with bongos until about the 2:50 mark where it begins to take off. Despite the smooth rhythms it doesn't hit the excitement sweet spot. 9. Saturn - Ephedra's name is always nice to see come up. Like Imba you know you're going to get something at the very least enjoyable, and at the most a standout performance. In this instance its a standout performance. The Huge climax and ethereal undertones work wonders on the ears, 10. Pluto - When Proxeeus goes big he really nails it. A perfect example of that here, like Me, Myself and a Gnop-keh Pluto, blasts ahead with a track that starts sounding more galactic than we normally get from our Lovecraftian thaumaturge. That pretence disappears as the leads storm in creating melodies spinning through mind altering psychedelia. A favourite from the artist and the compilation. Overall it doesn't feel like Global Sect's strongest release. On closer inspection it's hard to see why. All the tracks are there, many are amazing and Global Sect offer some styles that we aren't used to hearing from them. I suppose Terraformer was a gargantuan step in the promotion of galactic goa and despite the good tracks this doesn't feel as incredible overall. Perhaps it's unfair to benchmark against Terraformer, after all I am much happier with this album in my life than not. It's great to see Ypsilon 5 back in the game producing high quality music, Skarma sparkled bright, Ephedra & Proxeeus both deliver standing ovations and arm flailings, Rayavarna & JIS bring melody and funk to the table. So yea, I do recommend checking it out. An album that is certainly going to age well and get better with time. Awesome Album artwork. Looking at the labels releases in succession offers a nice panel of colours. https://globalsect.bandcamp.com/album/va-astronauts-in-the-solar-system
  6. It's big, it's beautiful, it's Median Project - Constellation Artist: Median project Album: Constellation Label: Suntrip Records Release: May 20, 2019 Tracklist:- 1. Antidote 2. Mission Adept 3. It Is Not Possible 4. Infinite Space 5. On The Edge 6. Pandora's Box 7. Sand Of Time 8. Sunrise 9. The Constellation Of Aries This review is about what is in my opinion one of the most extraordinary release of modern Goa to date. An Album that encapsulates the cosmic tone of the genre in it's own unique and captivating way. Personally I can honestly say that only 3 or 4 other albums have ever granted me this much excitement, and none of those have been been in this style and this style is by far my favourite. This album is not another level, it is the level. If your brain converts sound into colours and shapes then this is going be one vibrant journey of electricity. The album art by ShivaOMArt really says it all as far as the spectrum of colours that you are going to be blasted through goes. You're going to experience warm rust pyramids filled with gold, strokes of amber splashed across azure temples and gas giants of cerulean creating reactions with scarlets. You might even spot some periwinkle In the distance. 'Yea yea, it sounds amazing but it's not a game changer' 'Sorry huh? What did you just? Not a game changer for whom good sir & madam?' It is certainly a game changer for Sergey who has advanced his skill to another level. The layers are as balanced as a spirit level placed by Vladimir Shukhov himself, the leads rip through the other sounds and at times dance around in prisms of energy above your head while at other times zip through your head taking you to star nebula's. Vocal samples nestle themselves neatly into tracks where they are placed, but it's really the other elements that make these tracks stand out. The dial tone in Mission Adept, the boombastic roar in It Is Not Possible & the unforgettable screeches for the first 4 minutes of Sand Of Time, my god even a 4 second sample of that track gives my brain dopamine thrush. The melody of Sunrise & The Constellation Of Aries make me drive exactly 4 kilometres over the speed limit with a huge smile on my face. It's all cosmic Goa, but not like you have heard before. Median Project has placed more emphasis on the moments that really make a track stand out, the introductions and outro's have been given more detail, the tracks have been filled with 'Bigger' sounds and more effort has been placed into introducing periphery sounds that make every listen unique. I have had this album since it's release, so I have had plenty of time to listen to it, the honeymoon period is over and I can with all certainty say that this production of art is up there with the greats of the genre and the broader spectrum of Psytrance. What Median Project has done is find a way to take cosmic goa up to the next stage of its evolution, I can consider this album an advancement towards the style that others (Hopefully) will build on. It does have all the NeoGoa elements that some people (Not Tsotsi) often find tiresome but the arrangements are what keep this exciting. For those of you that think that this genre has nothing new to add, crank this up when the sun goes down and prepare yourself for a visit to solar systems far away. As always I would like to thank Sergey for taking the time to deliver this masterpiece to us and making the world that much more colourful for it. His hard work really does pay off. Thanks to all others involved in the project including Suntrip for an interstellar addition to their catalogue. One Final word. The description of the album calls this Astral Projection meets Mindsphere, but I think we can surely agree that from now on this is pure Median Project an artist unto himself. https://suntriprecords.bandcamp.com/album/median-project-constellation

  8. Neogoa Records is proud to present the final release for 2019 - the long-awaited new Goa trance album entitled 'Hypnotic Mirage' by Danish music producer and artist Anders Munk, better known as GoaD. In summer 2016, GoaD stunned the Goa trance scene with his debut album 'Galactic Aviator' (released by Neogoa Records via Ektoplazm platform) and introduced his high-octane and acidic Goa trance compositions influenced by old-school juggernauts such as The Overlords, Transwave, Man With No Name, and Astral Projection, but with signature GoaD vibe. Led by positive buzz and feedback, Anders worked very hard in his home-studio last two years crafting new materials for Hypnotic Mirage album. Earlier this year new music was finally completed and the idea to rehaul the Galactic Aviator album with new mix and mastering was born. This Christmas you will have a chance to enjoy in over 140 minutes of top notch Goa trance music (in both digital and physical formats) with 22 tracks by GoaD (11 tracks from Hypnotic Mirage + 11 remastered tracks from Galactic Aviator). 9. OUT NOW! - http://www.neogoa.net/proxeeus-celephais/ ''Wise men have interpreted dreams, and the gods have laughed.'' Neogoa Records is proud to present Celephaïs - 4th studio album by French artist and producer Jerome Lesterps (better known as Proxeeus). Since his debut album At The Mountains Of Madness was released back in the summer of 2015. at Neogoa Records, Jerome established himself as one of the leading Goa trance producers working nowdays, releasing two more albums at Goa Madness Records and presenting his vision of acidic Goa music around the globe to his growing following. Music on Celephaïs was composed during the last three years and it's heavily influenced by HP Lovecraft's novels, especially with Dream Cycle. It foucuses around the subject of dreams where music depicts an abstract image filled with elements of fear, horror and mysticism through the 77 minutes of new material. Celephaïs is a step-back from the usual high-paced Proxeeus sound, it brings more experimentation and exploration of ambient and downtempo sub-genre, but still keeping a Goa trance as a basis for his musical work. 10. Sometimes it’s challenging to exemplify someone’s work and creation with just one word, but that’s not the case when it comes to the music of german Goa trance project Veasna. Mastermind behind the Veasna project and passionate Goa trance aficionado Patrick Dinklage gave a great definition of its own creation, by calling it simply noschool. And it fits perfectly. Spectral Flux is a collection of 9 new Goa trance tracks and expressive continuation of his debut album Energy, released back in summer of 2016. Each track on Spectral Flux supports the premise of noschool, offering the finest elements of modern and retro Goa trance, but keeping the creators own trademark mood. Perhaps the words from the author will be the best invitation to dive into this record and explore it: ''It is certainly no news that music can take you to places, including places that are not restricted to the physical world. From the opposite perspective, making music is a way to create those kinds of imaginary places, something I enjoy doing very much. So I am very glad that I may present nine more places for everyone to explore. Find in them what you will and enjoy your stay!'' 11. Artist: Lectro Spektral Daze Title: Infinitely Intricate Unfolding Kaleidoscope Label: Neogoa Records Release: Feb 23 2018 Tracklist: 1. Experiences And Encounters 2. Acid Feels 3. Observing From All Around 4. Matter Into Energy 5. Seen Something 6. Thoughts They are Like Flames 7. Yellow And Green And Blue Patterns 8. Wave After Wave I gotta say at first i was confused. Lectro Spektral Daze does some great stuff, some of my favourites, his use of breaks is intelligent, the builds keep me guessing and the fun just jumps from all his tracks. The confusion however came from my first few listens on my car speakers and a pair of little in ear phones. The highs and Lectro’s use of sweeps caused me to wince in pain. For example in Acid Feel at the 4 minute mark the washed out sweep made me pull my earphones out and turn the volume down. At 6 min the highs build to a similar discomfort I went through some of his older tracks and heard similar sweeps and highs that didn’t cause me the same discomfort. Then Neogoa were all ‘lets review this bad boy aye’. So i thought, it must just be me, the team themselves couldn’t have messed mastering up that badly (I'll always believe in you Neogoa). And so I should, on proper speakers everything changed. 'When you face animosity you don't give up, you turn the biggest loudest rig you have access to on and hit play' 1. Experiences and Encounters - Nice little intro, and a cool kick and bassline, very Lectro Spektral styled. The progressive influences come through in the beginning and it doesn't take long before the track (Almost explodes into energy), if those leads were just a little louder, if they just roared a little more. Regardless the melody doesn't get old and we soon come to the first big break, it’s a good one too, then the track really blasts off, i love that lead that comes in around 6:20 coulda listened to that for the rest of the track really. 2. Acid Feels - A warm acid filled track, that doesn't take long to draw you into a deep trance. Overall a pretty positive track. The pain from the washy sweeps is gone and the high builds teetered on the edge of painful without actually crossing the line. 3. Observing From all Around - Starts without much messing around, cool knob turning and big drums lead us into our first melody. The use of one off sound effects and connected samples is pretty sweet. It really takes off at the halfway point. And that break at 6 min! Thats what im here for, This really where Lectro stands out from the crowd, the change of direction is awesome. A great track and favourite of mine. 4. Matter into Energy - Another short intro, very educational all the same, and we are met by warm full-on sounding pads.A floaty sense of funk surrounds fills this track. As the promo track to the album this didn't really grab me, after a few more listens I’m turnt right up. Another great break, this time more intense. Instead of over-layering with melodies other sounds and fx are used to keep your interest. 5. Seen Something - A light star spangled first act leads us into another cool melody which takes center stage. I would’ve liked the leads after the first melody to roar at me a bit more, instead they are placed deeper into the track drawing me in. The broken beats around 5 min are sweat and another LSD trademark i appreciate. This is one track however where we coulda dressed the kick drum up in a little tree costume and sent it to the backstage to offer the rest of the song more room to move. 6. Thoughts They are Like Fire - They do don't they? Who'd have thought. We get some cool loops and wacky sounds drawing us into the track before the melody takes over, not overly complex but lasts longer than the other melodies we have heard so far. 7. Yellow And Green And Blue Patterns - Goa trance can be a little bit like a game of rugby. Sometimes the Full Back has the ball and takes center stage, other times they just sit there to support the rest of the team. Sometimes the Wing gets the ball and takes center stage, they get some help from the others but it's really all them going for it. For the first half of this song i would have liked more focus on the ball carriers. So much coolness happening but not a lot taking focus...It deep tho. That being said, this was without a doubt my favourite track, Why? You guessed it, that break is beautiful. Tear inducing, uplifting, beauty. This is what i came here for. The purity of the second half of this track is unreal. 8. Wave After Wave - Who is that lady? Is that the weird girl from American idol, i gotta find her . . . - Mary roach, My God Lectro, did you get Mary to talk about acid on your track? My lord, has she changed her name to Guilbeaux yet? The rest of the track is too hot to trot, another favourite of mine, the chopped up melody and broken beats take over and make me to jump around. The voices in the back are a great addition. Lektro’s strong focus on breaks, nice use of builds and jump inducing fast paced changes have been mixed into a deeper style of trance. While at any point he could have brought parts of his track into stronger focus, what we get instead is balanced deep listening journey. I agree with the label when they say “...putting the listener into a unique state of deep trance led by trademark LSD melodies and pulsating drum-kicks…”. I enjoyed all tracks and loved three. I think Lectro has real talent, the album isn’t crawling with influence from other artists which tells me this amigo has his shit together. The work also shows that Neogoa is willing to release something a little bit different and unique. That being said I think the album could have gone a different direction into masterpiece territory, it’s art no doubt, good art too. Random snippets of sound, good melodies and awesome changing flow, more focus could have gone into bringing out some of the ‘bigger’ sounds, This may have taken away from the deep trance state induced rhythm of LSD, but it could have paid off big as well. Don’t get me wrong, the work is incredible and i was happy to purchase it, but i feel LSD has the potential to release the Magnum Opus. I read somewhere that what really separates the great originals from the rest is sheer volume of work. From art to engineering, more albums means more greats. If you catch my drift. https://neogoarecords.bandcamp.com/album/infinitely-intricate-unfolding-kaleidoscope

Artifact303 - Delirium (Downward Spiral) 07:37 I owe it to Global Sect to review this piece. Least of my reasons being that I accidentally bought this album twice...Not a cheap album, but Tsotsi must have assumed he hadn't bought it and just panic purchased to listen to on the plane to Thailand. Another reason this review had to happen was because I just had to tell the world how much I loved some of the tracks on the compilation. The best of which I believe was Sykespico's, the arrangements, change of acts, power, melodies. The entire composition blew me away. followed closely by Javi and Skooma's utter chaos of a track. Holy shit, there is a very fine line between over doing it, and frivolously swaying on the edge of that canyon. Javi & Skooma just created brining the edge with them as they jump across that line. This song is absolute madness from start to finish and probably one of the biggest risks on the compilation. Psy-H went balls deep in Gaura Nitay. Although a little repetitive at times when the peaks of the track hit they are good. Atlantis comes out with some proper beauty. Following the theme of the album of floaty dreamy space trance, I could have had more of that mantra but at the same time it broke me out of my daze when she came in, I didn't realise how deep in the track I'd fallen. Centevra Project do their job of introducing the theme of the album. Nothing amazing but the perfect opener to get us ready for more. They follow the theme of the album as they continue to pop up in other energised space acid tracks across the album...Obviously, they fit the composition perfectly (Maybe they even picked all the tracks ). Alienapa come in strong with 2 tracks. Are you mad being my favourite but only because I listened to 'night train' so many times when trying to figure out if I would pre-order the album or not and they new melody was appreciated. 'Ascension' by Raving Universe does just that, Ascends me to planets far beyond the terraformed inhabited planets of this albums. The track takes it times but it definitely gets you there, space travel aint fast my friends. Cosmic dimensions remix of Man With no Name's 'possessed' was the first track I listened to when I purchased this (The first purchase). Once again I haven't done my homework. I just finished Uni thats why Mom! So na, I aint heard the original, but the way people talk about MWNN I gotta assume he was special. I can imagine this back in the day, fucking amazing I'm sure. Well, Cosmic D has Done the old fliparoon on this one. Yes mam's and sir's he nailed it, by all rights I gotta assume he placed the old 'we are in space now trance dancer's' on top of it and I loved it. Awesomely produced and a great song all round. <---- Not true, there were no showers, this compilation is long Lets make it shorter to get me into one though. The rest of the tracks, and the entire albums is the sort of compilation you can play at anytime to get that particular style of trance. I'm starting to associate Global Sect with it, although I know the style aint new. Play it on shuffle at any point when that you feel like travelling to outta space, when you wanna get away from this goddamn planet and go see some funkier terraformed ones. Where the people will go in the year 2632 living a life of dance on the planets around what is, in that part of the galaxy, known as the trance dancers cluster. The grooviest section of outer space. . . Pick your planet. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thats it, thats the review. This is an 'Album' review not a 'Every song on the album' review. It's good my friends. Its not groundbreaking or challenging the genre, but it is cementing and defining it. A good compilation by all means. Listen in sections if you have too. But I promise, each song has its thing and stands apart from the others if you pay attention. Call it what you want, this is Goa, the greatest orchestrated arrangement of modern times and Global Sect have gone to a lot of work to collect these for us. Well done and thanks. To Javi, Skooma, & Sykespico. I potentially have another 79 years of life ahead of me, maybe more, would appreciate you continuing your crafts for the 50 years of that, that I'll be able to hear for. Ive taken the advice of Gfp1 and started blasting music on the newly acquired Bowers & Wilkins 600 series 3 stereo speakers and 2 subwoofers, on level 3 off an apartment. . . Fuck the neighbours . . . When they complain I'm telling them that 'someone on forum said I should'. https://globalsect.bandcamp.com/album/va-terraformer
  13. Infinitely Intericate Unfolding Kaleidoscope is a new full lenght release by New Zealand based producer Danny Marshall and his Goa-trance act Lectro Spektral Daze. This new album comes with 8 fresh tracks as a follow up to his well-recieved Full Fractal Vision album, published on our label back in early 2016, but this time with refined sound and more vivid production, where Lectro Spektral Daze continues to explore the themes and motifs from previous records. Infinitely Intericate Unfolding Kaleidoscope is a masterful journey into the landscape of Goa sounds, but it also tickles the progressive aspect of the genre itself, putting the listener into unique state of deep trance led by trademark LSD melodies and pulsating drum-kicks as a driving force of this record. Without any doubt, Infinitely Intericate Unfolding Kaleidoscope is an evolutive Goa trance record and a new step forward in Lectro Spektral Daze rich discography. Pre-orders are now available on Bandcamp: http://bit.ly/GET-LECTRO Tracklist: 01 - Experiences And Encounters (138 BPM) 02 - Acid Feel (138 BPM) 03 - Observing From All Around (138 BPM) 04 - Matter Into Energy (138 BPM) 05 - Seen Something (138 BPM) 06 - Thoughts They Look Like Flames (138 BPM) 07 - Yellow And Green And Blue Patterns (138 BPM) 08 - Wave After Wave (138 BPM) All tracks written and produced by Danny Marshall Release date: February 23, 2018 Photography, artwork design and concept by Richpa Mastering by Igor Čeranić at Deimos Soundlabs Preview full track 'Matter Into Energy' over at YouTube and subscribe to Neogoa Records channel:
  14. Artist: VA Title: Dimensional Gateway 5 Label: Neogoa Records Date: December 2017 Tracklist:- 01 - Sun Sith - Arrival 02 - BlackStarrFinale - The Scattering 03 - Lectro Spektral Daze - I Ate Seven Of Them 04 - Xamanist - Star Forming Galaxy 05 - Maan - Field Quanta 06 - Third Eye Channel - Katarza 07 - Proxeeus - Nyarlathotep [Short Mix] 08 - Dragon Twins - Shattered Sense 09 - Negan - Wäwära Well wowie, If ever a compilation could fit into the theme of 2017 (Quality over quantity) this is it. Neogoa Records have released their 5th in a series of Dimensional Gateways. Unlike the dark portals of this world, defined by stability and assurance, dimensional gateways are like tunnels bored with unstable magic that can lead to bliss, new worlds or eternal imprisonment. One thing is for sure, the gateways will always be a journey. As a newbie to the genre it would be foolish of me to say something like ‘This has been quite the year for Goa’ But i’m young and foolish so. This has been quite the year for Goa. We’ve seen some pretty remarkable releases that have been top notch in terms of either production, originality, or nostalgia. While the review section for 2017 has been pretty empty most of what is here is gold. Sun Sith: … Holy shit. Sun Sith are Lunar Dawns Kristijan Ilisinovic and Sasa Precanica. Two lifelong friends who have dedicated themselves to absolutely blowing our minds with music. This has gotta be the darkest work of theirs. And i’m going to peg it as the track of the year. Blackstarfinale: Oh no, how is this melody going to work? Am i about to listen to pure aged chedder? Nope, you better not believe it. The scattering is a mix of uplifting twisted chopped and screwed bliss. Pretty freaking awesome how they work this track. Lectrop Spektral Daze: Yea you did LSD, you ate more than seven didn’t you? You ate a whole bag! Whats that? Only seven per bag? Oh well yea, you ate seven then congratulations! Some of us are too busy studying to just go and eat shrooms in Mexico. Great track, if you like drug references in your songs you’ll like this. Also if you like good songs, well this is one for you my friend. Beautiful beautiful track. Xamanist - Star Forming Galaxy: Every now and then i come across a track on a comp that makes me wonder why i passed that artists album up when i came across it. Progressive trance must have been the flavour of the month when i came across 7, but I tell ya, i’m going back to right my wrongs right after this review. A banging track and another one of my favourites. Aaaaah i love rolling basslines. Maan - Field Quanta: A nice driving bit of trance that starts with subtle bits of acid getting tossed around, easy to dance to though not the most unique track floating around with not much to differentiate it from other producers. The builds are all pretty fun though. Instead of leading to explosions of hysteria they end in slightly disappointing returns to the bassline. Katarza - Third Eye Channel: A less exciting track that gets points for being trippy, though without endless amounts of energy pulsing through it. More of a floating track then an arm flail enducing stomper. Instead of keeping your attention with hard melodies Katara mixes the beat up by skipping kicks and messing around with the basslines. Dragon Twins - Shattered Sense: Some spooky throat noises (Singing? chanting?) starts our journey into what is a remarkable track. The melody is insane, but then it disappears? I could have easily had another 6 minutes of that penetrating my cranium. Man i’m bitter about that, the lead was incredible. I guess that’s how some stories go. Proxeeus - Nyarlathotep (Short mix): We are lucky it’s easier to dance to Proxeeus’ tracks than pronounce them. Everytime i try I end up with a deep and very bad Estonian accent... The track is what you would expect from this wizard, awesomeness. Edit: Holy heck Proxeeus! That final 1.5 minutes. Negan - Warawa: Whats that? Fun basslines? Negan (Did Negans lose part of himself) has got us covered. The track is madness from start to finish, the acid lines are all over the place in the best of ways. Hare Krishna would have indeed been a bad boy. And we made it out the other side. Dimensional Gateways aren't so bad are they, 5 down and we are still kicking. I'm starting to think these things are more stable than i've been told. Wizards and their bullshit friends, just like politicians. https://neogoarecords.bandcamp.com/album/dimensional-gateway-5

  16. Artist: VA Title: 604 Syndroms Label: Mamomam Records Date: January 2017 Tracklist 1. Zopmanika - Namaskaratha Mantra 9:27 2. Lectro Spektral Daze - Source Of All Life 8:26 3. Ephedra - Leaving the Shadow Side of Myself 7:03 4. Trinodia - Factorized 10:15 142bpm 5. Siam - Electric Discharge 8:13 6. E-Mantra - Unhcegila 7:25 7. Omnivox - Textures of Reality 8:51 8. Oxi - Sagittarius Love 6:33 9. Title 01 - Desert Ghost 9:13 CD 2. 1. Artha - Controlled (Old School Remix) 9:29 2. Space Element - Biotech 7:56 3. OmegaHertz - Zeta Zone 7:08 4. Jagoa - Rainy Saturday 7:41 5. Journey into Sound - Gallifrey 7:33 6. JaraLuca - Unexpected Experience 7:53 7. Omneon - Dark Matter 6:50 8. Ohm Mind - Mushroom Island 9:17 9. Proxeeus - Kuiper Belt 10:02 What’s that phrase again? Oh yea, DANCEFLOOR DESTROYER! Top notch kicks, I mean absolutely outstanding kicks, solid basslines and production like OMG. Spaced out layers without subduing leads, melodies and highs. Oh and that album cover. I tried to resist for weeks, but every time I saw it I got a little bit more curious. Probably the best example of dancefloor focused goa i've heard (Open to suggestions). Why is this important? All trance should be able to make it to a dancefloor and goa has to be the best form of trance I know. Yet it’s near impossible to hear played on a night out. Even Australian doofs choose hard chunky kick bass over acid leads and melody. I think the production of Goa has a lot to do with that, those soft spacey kicks can be and are great, they add a lot to a track and obviously are all part of the bigger picture in a song but it makes it unpalatable to the casual raver...You know, the ones that say ‘Fuck Yea! This is psytrance’ halfway through a Vin Vici set. Well, no longer will we allow that, not after 604 Syndroms. Storytelling, top notch production, distinct layers, atmospheric banger after banger dancefloor spectacular. Alright let's begin. Zopmanika - Namaskaratha Mantra - Oh yea, what a way to start a comp. I love me some vocals on a track, even better when it's an absolute stormer of a goa track. One of my favourites on the release if not my number 1. Lectro Spektral Daze - Source Of All Life - Somewhat of a generic intro, appreciate the lil’ vocal all the same. And then boom. The kick comes in hard. Plenty of psychedelia early on. Two tracks in and things are looking good. Ephedra - Leaving the Shadow Side of Myself - More vocals, jesus the Goa gods are looking down on us tonight. The intro is almost magical, but we ain’t here to daydream about the stars. Another stormer! Alright I won't say that anymore, from now let's just assume. Ephedra absolutely kills this track, from start to finish it had me moving. Bravo. Trinodia - Factorized - Look, we should allow a little bit of cheese in our diet, a little bit of cheese goes down just perfectly after a Moules Marinières. The production is just so clean it’s hard to complain and why would you? Factorized is fun, it’s hip and the kids are gonna love it! Darker synths come in towards the second half of the track, the melody changes up. Have a listen, just one won't hurt. Siam - Electric Discharge - Magic, I love how Siam builds this track. Fun bassline, Screeches all over the place working beautifully. One hell of a high powered electrical discharge infecting my ears right now and all i want is more. E-Mantra - Unhcegila - Ooh ok, I’m actually excited to review an E-Mantra track. First of all, this comp doesn’t need a fall back artist, just in case. E-Mantra clearly does, not, give, a, fuck, he smashes this track. All over it, up and down, caressing my synapses right to the end. Omnivox - Textures of Reality - I can’t figure it, but another favourites of mine. Great use of effects, sunny melody surrounded by squelches, dark atmospheres and a deep grumbling bassline. There it is, that's what I like about it. Oxi - Sagittarius Love - uh huh, pretty good until the break just before halfway through, and then it’s great. Blast off Houston. It’s a blazer. Title 01 - Desert Ghost - I spent me about 15 minutes trying to figure out who the actual artist of this track was….The breaks are pretty good. Non of the artists are going for builds and drops but in their own Goa-ry way it’s happening. A nice, crazy, fast, hectic finish to CD 1. And onto CD 2. I’m almost drooling to see what delites await us on the other side Artha - Controlled (Old School Remix) - Ok, so I wasn’t paying attention the first time I heard this and could not for the life of me figure out why it sounded so familiar. It’s also worth noting that Artha was the guy who fostered my relationship with the genre. So good sign yea? Different enough that it has me wondering which i like best…Right now I’m just thinking that all goa is the best TBH. Ah and that long ass break hasn’t been chucked out. Love it. Love it all. Space Element - Biotech - Ah raw acid all over the place (The leads damn it! I’m talking about the leads!!). Non stop charging trance that doesn’t let up. OOOOHHHHH that riff. One another classic that I shan't be forgetting anytime soon. OmegaHertz - Zeta Zone - Something a little different for us all. CD2 was meant to showcase the oldschool sound. If Artha’s track didn’t do it for you OmehaHertz has got you covered. I mean Personally i’m not getting the old school sound? Is it the strong focus on melody? If that's oldskool then the kids have got it all wrong. Zeta Zone is beautiful. My gosh. Jagoa - Rainy Saturday - Literally dealing with a 3 and a half minute build here until the track takes off, it’s a beautiful thing. “And no one had a bad trip” Perfect, melodic bliss. Gah that production, those 303’s that goa! I would buy this track alone for the price of this comp. But shhhh! Don’t tell the algorithms. Journey into Sound - Gallifrey - Another story focused banger. Journey really takes you somewhere special with Gallifrey. JaraLuca - Unexpected Experience - JaraLuca decides now is a good time to take is into Existential questioning. All worth it for what's to come... Look. Lets level with each other here. I want to stop praising each track. I really do. Everytime i start writing that a track is a little less than the others it goes and proves me wrong. Unexpected Experience isn't about to break my stride, in fact it adds to it. Another banger for the library. Omneon - Dark Matter - A dark broody psychedelic banger that has me feeling more than a little bit acidy (Not the leads this time). My only complaint, not nearly near damn long enough, but gee I can always just hit replay. Ohm Mind - Mushroom Island - So i wasn’t a big fan of ‘Birds Will go to Heaven’ I found it a little repetitive and less-ish. But boy did Ohm Mind just win himself a fan. This I thought I had all my favourites picked out until this came on. Absolutely ridiculous track that just goes and goes and goes. I obvs shouldn’t be speaking about favs before getting to Proxeeus so i’ll chill. Proxeeus - Kuiper Belt - THE TIME FOR CHILLING IS OVER!! Proxeeus, what have you done to me. This acid (Fuck i’m talking about the leads damn it!) drenched arpeggio master piece is a stormer. Typical Proxeeus style but just so so sooooo good. The track gets better and better as is expected with our man big Prox. I couldn’t ask for a better consumation than this. Thank you Proxeeus, thank you Mamomam. It’s as though every artist on here, some of them seasoned vets, took what they new about the way goa was being produced and just said. Not this time round baby. To be honest, if you’re looking for tracks that blow your mind and make you run around the room screaming “What was that! How’re they doing that!!!!!” Then it’s not gonna be this comp (Save for the final two pieces). But the production, focus and pounding drive of every single track here is outstanding. Absolutely worth a purchase. Mamomam have two goa releases under their belt and anything we can do to encourage them to push that number up is worth it. https://mamomamrecords.bandcamp.com/album/va-604-syndroms

  18. Artist: Rayavana Title: Exit Human Perception Ep Label: Neogoa Date: June, 2017 01 - Secrets Of Time (155 BPM) 02 - Back From The Future (157 BPM) 03 - Perennial Journey Through The Mind (158 BPM) 04 - Tetra Zod (160 BPM) Neogoa has released their first foray into the high speed niche of nitzhogoa. I'll come right out and level with you that I don't care for this type of music. It's oftentimes cheesy and all the time mentally exhausting. But even though I don't like it I can appreciate it and the fact that a lot of people do like it. And if you're a fan of this particular style then this is a must download. The melodies are typically fast and furious with great sound. I didn't find it particularly deep, but I did like his use of layers. There is a lot of energy here. I think the holy grail for goa freaks who are hesitant to give this music a chance is a nice balance between Nitzho and goa trance. As Antic mentioned the debut album from Agneton fit squarely in this category. This leans more towards the frenetic Nitzho side so hardcore goa heads will probably give it a pass, but it does nitzhogoa very well. Neogoa Bandcamp

He is refreshing addon to the Neogoa Records roster in 2016, as Neogoa pioneer in the far east. He is DJ and party promoter based at Tokyo-Japan and Andalusia-Spain. Lots of influences took its toll on Masala´s path getting to where he is now. He was influenced by some of the cultures of India, Sri Lanka and Nepal in period of his life far before being a Goa Trance listener. At first he was expiriencing sounds of Uplifting trance, Euro trance. Slowly progressing towards more underground sound, he passed through the gates of Goa trance in 2011, and after that love for trance made him began DJing in 2012. Masala plays all melodic Goa trance that feels like cosmic and emotional, morning – newschool or oldschool era, nonetheless. His sets have storytelling based on getting his audience´s spirits in a state of trance. So, his primary DJing concept is story building by melody line. 22. Old topic with news and upates can be found here. As we're getting slowly in seventh year of our existence in Goa trance realms, thanks to you dear people, we achieved another milestone with 750k downloads at Ektoplazm and Bandcamp. That means a lot to all of us and to all artists who released their music with us. In the behalf of our whole team and artists, THANK YOU so much for staying with us that long! <3 Ektoplazm - http://www.ektoplazm.com/profiles/neogoa Bandcamp - http://neogoarecords.bandcamp.com/

Festival program will start at tuesday (04.07) at 20:00 - and will go till sunday late afternoon (daytime). 25. Artist: PsySutra Title: Nebulla Cebulla EP Label: Neogoa Records Date: December, 2016 01 - PsySutra - Infinnitus Anniversarius 02 - PsySutra - Semper Fi 03 - Artha - Insidelamp (PsySutra Remix) 04 - PsySutra - Air Trance Corporation (Red Sun Rising Remix) PsySutra is Łukasz Wiącek and with this 4 track digital EP he appears to be flexing his creative muscles. Like you I was expecting music in the vein of his recent release Gamma Phoenicis, but this is most certainly not that. Neogoa's final release for 2016 is quite interesting and at least for me wholly unexpected. For starters the cover looks like half an onion floating through space. Is it just me? Not my favorite work by Ivan, but if the music is good he could put a Campbell's soup can up there and I wouldn't care. And it is. Infinnitus Anniversarius- Pretty good psychedelic opener. The second half really kicks the door in. Semper Fi- is almost 11 and a half minutes of aggressive goa trance. Throaty 303s growl fiercely and he adds some Posford-esque chopped vocals and it just pounds all the way through. Insidelamp (PsySutra Remix)- This was one of the Artha tracks I really liked and Lukasz went and turned it into a smooth downtempo track. The lead flutters overhead while down below the slow dub beat plods on. Sparkle fresh. Then the breakbeat picks up the pace for a bit before settling in for the final chill. Air Trance Corporation (Red Sun Rising Remix) has floating, ethereal pads as the machine gun bass line marches in a progressive tempo. Can get lost in this one. While it's not my favorite, it's not a bad ep at all and shows the artist stretching his talent to other areas while still showing he can cause some goa earthquakes. Ektoplazm
