Neogoa Records is proud to present the final release for 2019 - the long-awaited new Goa trance album entitled 'Hypnotic Mirage' by Danish music producer and artist Anders Munk, better known as GoaD. In summer 2016, GoaD stunned the Goa trance scene with his debut album 'Galactic Aviator' (released by Neogoa Records via Ektoplazm platform) and introduced his high-octane and acidic Goa trance compositions influenced by old-school juggernauts such as The Overlords, Transwave, Man With No Name, and Astral Projection, but with signature GoaD vibe. Led by positive buzz and feedback, Anders worked very hard in his home-studio last two years crafting new materials for Hypnotic Mirage album. Earlier this year new music was finally completed and the idea to rehaul the Galactic Aviator album with new mix and mastering was born. This Christmas you will have a chance to enjoy in over 140 minutes of top notch Goa trance music (in both digital and physical formats) with 22 tracks by GoaD (11 tracks from Hypnotic Mirage + 11 remastered tracks from Galactic Aviator). By the end of 2019 we have had a huge amount of quality goa releases. Suntrip, Goa Madness, Global Sect, ... they all delivered big time. I'm still in the process of listening and eh well... processing what the talented goa artists gave us this year. Reviews will be added to the threads shortly. Yet an unexpected appearance in 2019's goa catalog made me write a (short) review so you are sure not to miss it. And buy it! Neogoa records sometimes shoots a limited CD release to us and this time its GoaD's Hypnotic Mirage. Immediately when I heard the samples I felt this was an outsider amidst all the goa violence we got this year. Danish Anders Munk manages to melt old school sounds with a warm and thick hypnotic spectrum of sounds. And "hypnotic" is the key word here. Every track is submerged in hypnotic acid bubbles that go on and on until your brain is addicted to it. So beautiful. The mastering is super so your ears can have a break while listening to this masterpiece. Modern goa that doesn't follow any formula, but sticks to a warm hypnotizing feeling. There is not one single filler track. The second part of the release is a remastered version of his previous album Galactic Aviator. Reviews can be found HERE. The progress between the two albums is very noticeable. Hypnotic Mirage sounds much more modern and full to me. GoaD is steadily improving his sounds and production skills. This album is a topper already and I'm sure he will deliver much more in the future. What a surprise! Just ordered the limited CDR. What other choice do I have? Artist: GoaD Title: Galactic Aviator Label: Neogoa Records Release date: 15.06.2016 Track list: 1: Submerged On Ganymede (150 BPM) 2: Outer Passage (146 BPM) 3: Intergalactic Gates (150 BPM) 4: Other Species (146 BPM) 5: Tripping Astronaut (149 BPM) 6: Galactic Aviator (150 BPM) 7: Alien Pursuit (150 BPM) 8: Goa Delirium (148 BPM) 9: Mystic Presence (149 BPM) 10: Lost in Time (147 BPM) 11: Temple Monkeys (149 BPM) I remember first hearing GoaD's "Alien Pursuit" when Neogoa promoted it on facebook, saying how acidic the album is going to be and you all know that I have a god damn fetish for acidic side of goa trance so I was drawn in. The promotional track ended and I knew that I was going to love this album. This morning I got an e-mail notification which woke me up from Bandcamp saying "Neogoa Records has released "Galactic Aviator" by GoaD." I dont remember the last time I've jumped out of bed that happy and excited about life, turned on my pc and downloaded the album. Ok so the first 2 tracks are really good at setting up the mood and preparing you for the madness that is to come. With track 3 "Intergalactic Gates" the albums sits on the gas pedal and catapults us up into space. You will be holding to your chair or your head depending in what position you are all the way up to the last track that isnt that crazy but it's still fast. What the album does well: Variety, story telling, feels unique to me so no cheese here, acidic asteroids flying centimeters by your windshield while you desperately true to hold on to life and avoid them, and remember, if you fail- no one can hear you scream. Also the melodies are spot on. Overall the ~80 minutes flew by as I listened to this. Also I love the cover and the little easter egg. (Now playing Imba's "Impossible Astronaut") What the album does bad: Made me feel bad for downloading it for free and not being rich and paying tons of money to this guy for making such a masterpeice. I literally can't find one nit-pick. A true masterpeice and one of my 2 favorite releases this year thus far! Grade: A
