  1. Various Artists - Through the Afterlife Album: Through the Afterlife Artist: Various Artists Genre: Downtempo Size: 170MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - Shunya - Deep States (Revisited) 02 - Kanka - Mira 03 - No Room - Made In Rainy 04 - Already Maged - Sulphur And Mercury 05 - DoHm - Silent Existence 06 - Farebi Chilebi - Swoon 07 - Molokow - Fields Of Aaru 08 - Parus - Afterlife 09 - Captain Kirk - Break On Through (To The Other Side) 10 - Six Fingered People - Polypi In the mist of nothingness, where breath and matter is nonexistent, a small fragment unknowingly begins to glow and evolve chaotically. This object becomes the center of everything, and for the first time in the infinite history of this land, color is created. Blue and orange clouds of gas combust into tall ruby fires amongst scattered pearly stars, violent oceans of green and purple waves bounce up and down newly formed spiraling horizons, and clusters of strange and exotic entities gasp into existence. Its dance spreads a beautiful and endless dream world of floating bricked towers, grassy mazes surrounding thick metallic waterfalls, and snowy pathways dripping downwards into oblivion. An observer, far away from the boundaries of this universe quietly sits and stares deep into its eyes. Then, from within the very depths of arabesque paradise, sound is created. He wakes up to find himself lost in this newly spawned world. Confused, he staggers in a daze, mystified and terrified by a barrage of strangely welcoming plants that move back and forth in dashing winds. Climbing through the alien world, he reaches the peak of a cliff and stares out into an open plane of astral creations, floating slowly in a never-ending abyss of abstractionism. As he glances over the wonders of his new reality, he takes a relaxing seat and smiles. This is the afterlife. Deep States (Revisited) by Shunya The eery yet soothing pads layering against each other are extremely fitting for this engulfing introduction. As I stare at the album artwork, I feel as if I am being taken away into another state of consciousness. Similar to the sounds of Solar Fields, the slow yet heavy bass progression delicately opens up a door into another dimension. The imaginary walls of this world are easily accessible, thanks to this captivating expressionism of sound. I can definitely tell you used Komplete to create this, if I am wrong let me know. You did an absolutely fantastic job at utilizing your sounds, crafting them to produce a wonderful soundscape. Everything morphs into a road and I am taken on a constant journey where the universe the song creates evolves. It is so calm and intricate. If putting me into a deep state was your intention, your certain achieved it with this tune. Mira by Kanka Beginning with the chitter chatter of a delayed synth line, Mira progresses with echoing pads and abstract percussion to start a bit of a different style. Different from the first track, Kanka shows uniqueness through wobbly, delicious bass lines and constantly organic tuned sounds. Around 3:30, it develops into a more active, heavier vision. I can also hear Solar Fields and Carbon Based Lifeforms inspiration in this track. It paints a interesting journey, making me want to go for a long walk in the middle of the night to explore unfound areas. I desire more, and enjoy the melodies that carry this track into a psychedelic art form. The land of Mira is awesome. Made In The Rainy by No Room Darker elements are chosen in Made In The Rainy. Paying attention to filling up the left and right channels with clearly enjoyable sounds produces an original and perfect backbone. In the center of this structure lies an addicting drum line mixed with some enchanting sounds. I feel as if I am inside a cave, running through a maze of rock hard, wet walls that lead into a cavern full of dazzling creatures. The style is a bit brighter towards the four minute marker, sounding like rain dripping into puddles. I didn’t particularly care for the melody towards the end but it did get its point across. Sulphur and Mercury by Already Maged Another darker track, as expected from its chemically raw related title. I am very glad to hear each artist in the album so far has stayed true to a unique style with different development and interesting composition. I thoroughly enjoy the progressions towards the beat that comes in at the one minute marker. The out-of-tune chords match the mood perfectly, and the light touch of background noise is wonderful. I can imagine a haunted house full of undead figures dancing the night away as a group of curious teenagers with a stupid dog come across the gloomy horrors. I can’t help but smile at this track. It it wonderfully quirky. Why wasn’t this used in a cartoon? It definitely could be. Oh man, after the four minute marker things get really interesting. The length of Sulphur and Mercury is highly entertaining with top notch replay value and production quality. The composition is groovy! And oh boy, your going to really dig the track around six minutes. Everything is psychedelic from captivating start to original finish. Silent Existence by DoHm Woh, is that quote in the introduction from the movie INK? AWESOME choice! If it isn’t I am mistaken, but either way I love the voice sample. In this track, we move onto a more tribal feel in the downtempo spectrum. With expected progression, the orchestration of percussion, guitars, and pianos follows an epic and deep electronic simulation into an African-like land. Satisfying leads and euphoric buildups make this track beautifully made. The melodies are all very well done! I can see myself playing this in the car to go deep into thought. Swoon by Farebi Chilebi Looks like its time for a slower, Jazzier track! Nighttime elements sprout up from the ground into a forest of gooey swamps and dark green trees that tower high into the moon filled sky. Get ready to feel lost, bewildered, and confused in this darkpsy head bobbing universe. The bass in the background of this strange and twisted environment is funky enough to make me feel drunk. Yes, that is a very good thing. With unconventional sounds, memorable tunes, and slow-time progression, Swoon is an impressive creation that can take anyone on a journey. I can’t stop listening to that baseline, its like I’m being chained down to my chair with this awesome track. Hell yeah. Fields of Aaru by Molokow Aaru must be somewhere in the Middle East, or no wait, the wild wild west, well wait a minute what the? Man this style is gorgeously diverse! Woh baby, I can play this sexy song on the dance floor. The beat creation skills featured in Fields of Aaru are simply swell. With obvious automation talents, Molokow can bend sounds at will with his synthesizers. The instruments are fitting for every minute, crafting together a desert theme full of sand and sunsets. Smooth, clean, and perfectly progressive. It even gets a little glitchy after the 5 minute marker, so your in for a treat. This is one of my favorite tracks on the album. I love it! Every little gap in the drum pattern is filled with some really interesting and creative elements. I want to live wherever these fields are. Afterlife by Parus Head bobbing, funky, downtempo styles are everywhere. String instruments, slower than usual Goa elements, and some kicks far out melodies bring everything together in a sort of Asian culture that reminds me of Buddahism. I feel this track is referring to the Third Eye, taking on a attitude meant to take listeners on a pathway towards enlightenment. It has a lot of organicness to it, yet it also adds some high class nostalgic and well programmed sounds that zap and zip in the foreground while a mixture of drums and guitars sing together. The mood is inspiring, and I feel very up in the air at every second. This track is very professionally done, paying high attention to the collection of highs, miss, and lows in order to layer it all on a beautifully done canvas. If anything, this track certainly reminds me of the masterful cover art. It feels like I am dead, traveling through a world unknown. Its like astral projection, and I am not talking about the psytrance group. Break on Through (To the Other Side) by Captain Kirk Starting with a twisted and strange sound world, Break On Through (To the Other Side) has the same feel that Afterlife does, yet it opposes it with a darker attitude. Echoing, triumphant pops and gargles fly and crash into mountainous walls, tribal elementals wash over the funkylicious body, and slowly evolving quirkiness fills the track to the brim with darkpsy inspirations. Unique from a downtempo style, Captain Kirk slows down a psytrance feeling commonly used for mind screws and gives it a fresh dose of styling beat mashing, scarily long textures, and basses meant to move crowds through the night. It is very interesting to hear this dark style slowed down and intensified. Awesome stuff. Prepare to board a spaceship to another dimension with heavy metal playing aliens around the six minute marker. Don’t worry, they are cool dudes and are totally down for kicking it as long as you have VIP backstage passes. Polypi by Six Fingered People IDM configurations ahoy! Blast that bass and get off your ass to this danceable delight. Taking from commonly used dubstep styles and drum n bass influences, this bigger, better, and broader idea combines all of that and turns it into a killer gangsta smash of totally tubular bodacious and sexy put-these-shades-on-bro kickassery. With a totally different feel, Polypi is the best ending for this album I could ever ask for. It ties everything into a nice package of bitchin drum kits, plucking synth explosions, and chillaxing beat grids. Take a ride on the soul train into a Psydub, Downtempo experience and enjoy the sexy universe of apparently Six Fingered People. (They must be the runner up band for the aliens in the last song). OVERALL An extremely diverse, talented, and unique group of artists who rest near the lower bpm side of the musical spectrum come together to bring you a brief look into the moments after death. In this “afterlife”, expect anything from soothing pad structures laced with intelligent and advanced synthesizer programming, to funky and quirky idm beat lines meant for moving any head. The album progresses through a wonderful electronic journey that can expand your imagination to its outer limits. Put on your best pair of headphones or blast this in your car on a road trip, the wonderfully played compositions and killer bass leads will tear you up with euphoric joy and inspirational engulfing marches of pure music. As the artwork describes, the psychedelic, downtempo, darkpsy, and idm experience of “Through The Afterlife” is destined to make anyone think. Open your mind and let the powerful masterpieces plant a seed into your brain. Its going to grow into a colorful, abstract tree that holds the very cores and visions each artists holds so dearly to their hearts. And boy, when this tree stops sprouting you will have all of these artistic expressions lined up neatly side by side in an image that can only be described as phenomenal. Have you ever had a permanent idea stuck inside your head because of a discovery? Well, now you do. Take a moment to be taken away to the land after death and breath the world in deep. Your going to love it. 10/10 Download here on Ektoplazm (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thanks to Ektoplazm for the download bandwidth. - Special Thanks to James Mccarthy for his incredibly talented artwork! 2. in preparation for the "best of 2014" voting i noticed that i haven't listened to much downtempo released this year at all. and apparently i'm not the only one. so what are the best downtempo releases you've found this year? any instant classics that one cannot ignore? was there a good psydub release like globular last year?

Mankind Under The Microscope Release info: Mystic Sound Records is happy to present the mini-album of Tsykhra - Mankind Under The Microscope. Tsykhra (Sergey Kunitsyn) is an artist from Belgorod, Russia, whose music style has been trasforming since 1998 till now from drum’n’bass and techno through commercial trance and has ended its evolution at a boundless form built with inspiring rhythmic patterns containing all imaginable sound palettes. He loves experimenting and values harmony of musical, timbral and engineering content. This EP is a musical trilogy about human beings, their aspirations and dreams. The sea is deep but the space is deeper, there is so much to explore. Colonization is a sound of technology and inventions. 11035m Under The Sea is a sound of adventure. Mankind Under The Microscope is a sound of divine care. All 3 tracks were born under sudden afflatus, they are something new in Tsykhra’s musical career. 7. Artist: Various Title: Enfold 01 Label: Ultimae Records Date: December, 2014 1. Scann-Tec - Rewind 2. Fingers In the Noise - Sensitive Mind 3. I Awake - Winter Shell 4. Martin Nonstatic - Oak Branches 5. Lars Leonhard - Frost 6. Miktek - Serene 7. Circular - Lunokhod (Winter Mix) 8. Master Margherita & Ermetico - Blue Fish (Winter Mix) 9. Asura - Lumiere Noire 10. Aes Dana - Beneath Celebrating 15 years of relaxing chill music Ultimae released a gift for fans of the label. This freely downloadable compilation is available on their website in 12 or 24 bit format and showcases a who's who of artists. Let's begin with the cover of a flower encased in ice. It was certainly apropos for my area when we got two feet of snow dumped on us. My son hadn't gone to school in a week and the temperature was hovering around -1F. What the f*ck Canada? The album begins chilled with frozen pads and slow percussive beats. And that's where it stays not unlike that flower attempting to escape its ice prison. Cold winds blow on Winter Shell as sunlight reflects off the snow covered landscape, but instead of being dark and depressing, it offers hope. Hope in the knowledge that warmer temps and spring blooms will soon arrive. You can hear the foliage attempting to push forth through cracking ice on Oak Branches. Lunokhod harnesses the spectacle of sunlight gleaming off of icy surfaces with lush pads and smooth female vocals. Blue Fish...hmmmm. It doesn't seem to belong even if it's the Winter Mix, but it's still a mellow enjoyable track. Asura gets things back on the desolate and frozen track with his long ambient soundscapes revealing how vast the Antarctic mountainous desert really is. If aliens took up residence in the frozen wasteland this would be their soundtrack. Aes Dana closes with bubbles trapped in ice just in case you didn't know it was winter. This is a great album that captures the winter atmosphere and is helped along by being mixed. It's one long frozen journey with some great tracks and some that seem like place holders. But put it all together and it works. The sound is top notch and Ultimae's gift succeeds in putting the listener smack dab into the music. A free gift that is greatly appreciated, but... Now I'm f*cking cold. Free at Ultimae Records Website Mdk
  8. 1. Alone In Canoe 2. Eagle's Tale 3. Tears Of Thunder Spirit (Blue Mix) 4. Hanblicheya (Blue Mix) 5. Fighting With Unchegila 6. Dreamers Of Black Hills (Blue Mix) 7. Vision Of Star Woman (Big Deeper Mix) 8. Tribute For Hiawatha 9. Uenuku (Blue Mix) 10. Peta-Owi Hankeshni! Well I logged in for the first time in 6 years just to post this! This album did not get released within the Psy scene, so I think it would be a shame if it fell through the cracks. It's melodious, harmonic, rhythmic, emotional downtempo music that will take your mind and feelings for a spin. The whole album has a very definite style to it, yet each track brings something new and not a single one leaves me feeling flat, it's elation throughout. Ones that really stand out for me are 5 and 6. I'm sorry if this review doesn't say much, but I lack eloquence to translate this music into words. You can listen to the whole album on YouTube, and chances are you will already buy it before you get halfway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9JV4XnrCf0
  9. Artist: Nibana Title: Ask The Universe Label: Maia Brasil Records Date: February, 2015 01 - Uchuu (60 BPM) 02 - Far Eden (80 BPM) 03 - Near Babel (85 BPM) 04 - Icarus Dream (Tribute To Yngwie Malmsteen) (90 BPM) 05 - Our Eyes (90 BPM) 06 - The Most Astounding Fact (90 BPM) 07 - I Am a Soul (100 BPM) 08 - Ya'av Eah (110 BPM) 09 - Our Eyes (Sephira Remix) (100 BPM) 10 - Owari Da (76 BPM) "Now fear is going to be a player in your life...but you get to decide how much." Nope. Nope. Nope. Bricks have been shat. When I pass from this Earth my soul will still be terrified of this creature. You need proof of alien visitation? Bam. Eight legs of extra terrestrial terror. They hid in sheets. Under shirts. Behind curtains. In. Your. F*cking. Toilet. Paper. Roll. Now that I have succeeded in scaring myself for life let's discuss this release by a Frenchman. Now wer'e talking! No. No...check that f*cking thing for spiders! It could be under all that delicious! I f*cking see you behind those strawberries! This is an album of downtempo / dream trance that delivers on it's label. It was released in 2014, but he probably felt he could get more exposure if he posted it on Ektoplazm. It can be slow moving downtempo, ethereal, and hypnotizing mid tempo trance. Guitars (mainly guitar solos) are a prominent feature on the tracks and before you pass on this like I did that dessert, let me tell you it's a highlight. I know I can't believe I'm saying it. There's even a tribute to Yngwie Malmsteen. The guitar player? No the convenience store clerk. Yes the guitar player how many Yngwies do you know? The first track is my favorite. A meticulous dub journey that took its sweet time. The guitar solo brings an epic feel to it, like the situation is bigger than yourself. Far Eden has a glacial cold vibe balanced out by the ever present bass. Icarus Dream is another lush piece of ambient trance complete with nice guitar riff and sliced sounds. All of the tracks don't feel rushed or a jumble of sounds lumped together. Now if you don't like guitars in your music then you might be put off by this. But I never found them intrusive and often found them integral to the track. If there was one gripe it would be that the tracks tend to run a little long and get a little boring. Very well done though. Free at Ektoplazm Mdk
  10. Artist: 2Minds Title: Wave Shell Label: Geomagnetic.TV Date: October, 2013 1. Vintage 2. Blue Magic 3. Mission to Mars 4. Goa Land 5. Wave Shell 6. Hindu 7. Deep and Warm 8. Viber 9. Eclipse 10. Blood Connection 11. Evil Echo 12. Ethnic Demonstration 13. Half Moon 14. Magic Carpet 15. The Last Travel I try not to make assumptions or jump to conclusions. I said I try. But I think we can all agree sometimes you're just stupid. In that vein I suppose I owe this project an apology. Two Israeli brothers making psytrance? Stop me if you've heard that one before. Paid them zero attention. Why do I wanna waste my time with cheesy full on? That horse has been beaten to death. I haven't been this wrong since, well... F*ck I just turned my kids room into a gay disco! And it's still too damn hot in here! Now I haven't heard the first album from these guys, but their second one is something you should be paying more attention to. It was a gift from the label Zion604 when I ordered their latest release. No cover, no case, just the music burned to a disc. Normally that would find itself buried amidst all the other music that I would probably never get around to. But something told me to give it a go. Good call. The first disc is psytrance oriented with midtempo rhythms and an eye for detail. Changes of direction are abundant as are the hopscotching of between genres. And I believe that to be their strength. The similarities to old Infected Mushroom are many and while none of these tracks are blasters they are fun to dive into with lots of evolution. Their brand of psytrance is nothing special (aside from a few tracks the first disc is rather weak), but throw in their penchant for variety and things get more interesting. Disc two is the prize for me, full of downtempo grooves that combine vastly varied rhythms in a detailed menagerie of sounds. The layers are thick with slow, cinematic thumping beats that don't flirt with goa, but engage in a full blown dry humping session on the new family couch. You're doing it wrong. Hump first then eat. Thick with changes in direction , it's like getting lost in a maze where treasure is around every corner. The who shebang is produced very well with all sounds being crystal clear. They seem to love long tracks and while that can be involving sometimes it feels as if they're lost in the woods and every tree looks the same. "No you go on ahead. I'm gonna...take a look at...something." *sound of fly unzipping* So the psytrance yeah it's all right, but the downtempo disc is really good. Thanks for the gift! Psyshop Beatspace Mdk

  15. Artist: Various Title: 6th Element or The Missing Elements Label: Altar Records Date: May, 2011 1. Astropilot - Inside the Harmony (Astral Waves remix) 2. Zymosis - Zeta Being (original version without flute) 3. Dreaming Cooper - Space Trip 4. Elea - Paisley Faces (Eternity Remix) 5. Suduaya - Salutation To The Planets 6. Elea feat. Bahramji - Menne Divonne 7. Tentura - Uzm247 8. Sysyphe - Mindscare 9. Ephemeral Mists - Awakening Spirits (Peyote mix) 10. Chronos & C.J. Catalizer - Quid Est Veritas (Air mix) 11. Asura - Vangelis Everyone got their cloud recliner in full, resting position? Good. Altar records is delivering what could be the final part of their beautiful Element series with the 6th Element. First thing you'll notice is there is no such thing as a 6th element. Kinda like a sixth Beatle. At least on this planet. But the "missing elements" found here are overflow tracks that didn't find a place on the other installments of the series. Put together and mastered by Mr. Altar himself (DJ Zen) the compilation opens with an epic ambient track remixed by Astral Waves. And what a floating neural massage it is. Zymosis provides his track Zeta Bieng from the Air compilation now with less flute. Which is a shame because it sounded fuller with the flute. However the coming out of the break seemed more dramatic in this version. Space Trip is a melancholy orbit around a planet (or a pretty good backing for a Lionel Richie track) while I couldn't tell you anything about Paisley Faces. Salutation to the Planets had an annoying chant over a cheesy uplifting melody and then Bahramji tops it. Didn't think it was possible, but don't let anyone ever tell you that you can't do something. So...right about now my cloud is beginning to darken and become a little lumpy. Is this a downtempo compilation or soundtrack to an ISIS training video? Uzm247 (what?) is a better piece of downtempo that builds to a strong climax and Mindscare is more on the darker side of things with a dub-like bass line and a strong snare. Liked that one. Awakening Spirits is a slow hallucinogenic dirge with Indian vocals that appeals to me even if it sounds like a slowed down goa track. The Air mix of Quid Est Veritas sounds identical to the track from the album of the same name while Asura closes on a saccharine sweet note that could very well be a Vangelis track. Not being an anthropologist I cannot declare this with abject certainty, but I believe the missing elements are called B-sides. It's not mixed and there is no flow to the tracks at all. It felt like they were just thrown together. They're not terrible by any stretch, but if you spent $10,000 on a hover cloud expecting to float away you're gonna be disappointed. Of course if you spent $10K on a floating cloud ten more bucks ain't gonna mean that much to you. And can I be your friend? Well, since I'm not an anthropologist I guess there is nothing wrong with sticking them back where I found them. You know...to preserve them and sh*t. Yeah, that's it. Pinkie Pie! Apple Jack! Get to diggin! Altar Bandcamp Mdk
  16. Artist: Amygdala Title: Modus Operandi Label: Ektoplazm Date: December, 2012 01 - Yeheuan Filters (73 BPM) 02 - Ridden By The Loa (66 BPM) 03 - The Construct (Oxylerator III) (136 BPM) 04 - Modus Operandi (140 BPM) 05 - Mindsweeper (142 BPM) 06 - Wintermute (140 BPM) 07 - Business End (134 BPM) 08 - Made Up Mind (130 BPM) 09 - MetaMusic (Reified Mix) (132 BPM) 10 - Simstim (65 BPM) 11 - Enlightenment Cut (60 BPM) 12 - ConunDrum (110 BPM) Wow, where did this come from? This is Andreas Riemer Christensen (is everyone from Denmark named Christensen?) with his debut full length album and it is a futuristic cyber world with incredible atmosphere. Booming drums, dark effects, and an all around eerie feel with crackling electric energy. The first two tracks are downtempo creepy pieces designed to thrust you into this bleak future. Part Matrix part Frontline Assembly. Once The Construct appears it's a scorching goa melody that fits right in with the metallic and cyber heavy world of his making. He's got a great skill of heightening the atmosphere when he goes into the breaks which keeps the listener firmly in his storytelling grasp. What he lacks in melodies he more than makes up for in lush effects and layering. And just when you think you have the track figured out he surprises you. My mind was made up on Made Up Mind as a somewhat groovy minimalistic progressive track when he unleashed the melodies that danced in step with the beat. While not "goa" by today's description it certainly contains goa elements that are fairly easy to pick out. I found that the middle of the album strayed a little from the theme originally presented (Business End was a little too happy & bright) this is still an album that is easy to enjoy. The beginning and ending to me are the most vivid and lush parts of the whole shabang and I would love to hear a low bpm release from him. One of the comments on Ektoplazm about this release hits the nail right on the head: "I can almost see the movie behind the soundtrack" Bingo. Sci-fi fans rejoice! Free at Ektoplazm Mdk

  19. Artist: Globular Title: A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy Label: Gliese 518C & Omnitropic Date: March, 2012 1 - Feeding Back Forwards 2 - A Singular Synergy 3 - Subversion 4 - This, Here, Now 5 - The Loon 6 - A Highly Sprung Spring 7 - To The Other Side Of Fractal Phase Space 8 - From Mind, There Spills Forth Light Ektoplazm is a great resource for discovering new music. No matter what you're into (and I would keep what you're into locked away...you nasty). This is Morrison Bennett with his full length debut and it's a treat to be sure. Like Dub? Well come on over f*cknut! Like slow grooves? Don't just stand there with a confused look on your face! Real world instruments can be found here with ethnic (is that politically correct or did I just offend a hemisphere) melodies aplenty. It's like walking through a crowded Indian bazaar without the smell. Don't touch me. Funny that an Englishman can get what I perceive to be the Indian essence right. What's that? Oh, really...for that long. He loves long tracks and intros which is great because details are a strong point of this album. A Singular Synergy made me feel like I was amongst African tribesmen (f*ck did I get off on the wrong continent?) He also likes layers so there is plenty to pick through. Of course I prefer to listen to all my music with headphones sos I can isolate all the wonderful sounds, but also because I live in the South. Blast the foreign language chanting and singing at high volume and you run the risk of the redneck brigade stringing you up and complaining you're what's wrong with 'Merica. yes this happens. Subversion has a water theme and you might as well put a Jamaican with a bong right next to me. No f*cking way. Anoebis? What the hell are you doing at Paul Mitchell? Dubby reggae in style it's smooth and "Hey are you gonna pass that over or what you unemployed motherf*cker?!? Yeah, Irie, mon." How do you not bob your head to This, Here, Now? "Come let's mix where Rockefellers walk with sticks or umberellas in the mix"...surely this was his intention. The Loon is a series of jumbled sounds and voices thrown in a food chopper over a dubby beat, but still has that ethnic shine. It moves very slowly making it seem twice as long as it is. A Highly Sprung Spring is very psychedelic with more manipulation of Indian song. Like a third world auto tune. "Girls back in 45 minutes!" An Indian pimp? Score. I'll stop making fun of you when you stop gang raping women (pssst...no I won't) And the rest is more of the same. The drawback to having a series of long, lush tracks in the same style is that it can be laborious to get through the entire album. And it is. Maybe a series of EP's would've been better. Ironic since there is such a relaxed vibe throughout. Mostly. But it can be tough so I recommend carving out some time to give it the attention it deserves. Free at Ektoplazm Mdk
  20. Florian - Twilight Horizon: a psychedelic dub adventure (2015) https://soundcloud.com/flo_on_decks/florian-twilight-horizon-a-psychedelic-dub-adventure My name is Florian, and I'm a DJ / producer from Victoria, BC, Canada, and I've been spinning tunes in the psychedelic downtempo / mid-tempo genres (also trance) for about 15 years. I managed a nightclub in downtown Victoria for five years, which catered heavily to the psychedelic community here. I decided to quit to pursue a more money-making career, in hopes of being able to throw bigger shows, and bring artists like Cosmosis to Vancouver BC. This is my first released mix in this genre since 2004, so it features my favorite timeless tracks from over the past ten years. I hope you enjoy it Tracklisting: 01) Adrift in Hilbert Space - Ott 02) The Portal - Kaminanda 03) Electroplasm - Shpongle 04) Indifference (Hibernation rmx) - Grouch 05) Neon Tetra - Umberloid 06) Keep Falling - Jazzanova 07) Super Dry - Master Margherita 08) How the Future Sounded - Kuba 09) Shimmer - Bluetech 10) The Himalaya - Cosmosis 11) Silver (Robot Baby mix) - Tripswitch 12) Earthgarden (Jong rmx) - Nada
