  1. just one today: Various - The Eternal Frequency (Phantasm) I can't be arsed to post discogs links anymore =)
  2. Been a bit low on money lately, but these CDs arrived today: Various - Psychedelic Goa Trance (Omnisonus) Various - Psychedelic Goa Trance 2 (Omnisonus) Trans-Lucid - Dream Dust (Aquarius)
  3. Not been getting much lately, but this amazing masterpiece arrived today: Thomas Köner - Permafrost
  4. WORD!!! I even have my ( ) t-shirt on =) but as for trance, there is no such album that I can recall. And I have plenty =)
  5. For the gym and/or running I use a pair of philips "behind-the-neck" headphones. I use a pair of Sennheiser HD25 for everything else, but even though they're fairly small and light-weight they look a bit big and I don't want them to smell like a rotting roadkill carcass =) The Sennheisers obviously sound a LOT better, but they cost eight times as much, so you get what you pay for.... the Philips ones deliver ok amounts of bass and are quite well ventilated. They also stay put on my head no matter what, which is obviously a necessity. You could buy pro-level in-ear plugs perhaps, if you spend 50-60 euro you will get VERY good ones that stay put and deliver excellent bass. I have never been able to enjoy plugs though, so I stick with headphones of various sorts. And I recommend listening to Chris Liebing or other hard, dark techno in the gym... I did that yesterday and I can barely move my arms enough to type this today, despite extensive stretching. I think I've never exhausted my upper body that much before in my life!
  6. VA - Dimension One (on ultra-rare japanese label Trip Trap, from 1994 and still sealed!) VA - Trancentral Four - A Trip To Goa VA - Trancentral Five - A Sonic Initiation VA - Goa Spirit 2 - Hard Psychedelic Trance
  7. Insectoid - "tribedelic nomads"... perhaps a tad too "far out" for this set though, but very ethno. Sonic Fusion - "Tribal Warrior" And you need even more Elysium and Etnoscope =)
  8. 1 - Blue Room Released. the rest is open for discussion =)
  9. Cinos: 003 means its release 003 on the label. It has 4 tracks but no titles anywhere. My copy doesn't even have the artist name printed. Indeed that CD is amazingly good, as is number 2 and 3. I still don't have number 2 though... hard to find records. My avatar is a painting by polish artist Zdzislaw Beksinski, who sadly was murdered earlier this year. Look up some of his work (preferrably from the 70's) - he is absolutely amazing, the darkness he portrays is hair-raising! I like his stuff better than Giger's, for example.
  10. Send me one, ASAP =) =) =) I got these since my last post: Various - Sound Of Gaia Party Various - Psychedelic Goacore 1 The Infinity Project - ??? (Fabulous 003 from 1991!!!!)
  11. The Ka-Sol track. OH. MY. GOD.
  12. And during todays lunchbreak, for 2 euro a piece: S-Range - Space Lotus Omega - Recycle Bin I hate the S-Range album but I'm a collector and it was cheap =) I already have the Lotus Omega album but it's rare and I can use it for trades. Looked a bit beat up though, will have to check the readability of the disc when I get home.
  13. Got some two days ago that I forgot to mention: Psychopod - Psychopod/Dreampod (CD single, had the vinyl before) Hallucinogen - Deranger (as above) ALX - Lying At The Bass Of The Spine Wizzy Noise - Timelime Remixes (FINALLY got around to buying it, the BPC mix is pure magic) Various - Black Hole Compilation (nephilim) Various - Tip Singles 3 (one step closer to a totally complete TIP collection, both CD & vinyl) There was probably something else too, but I forget =) (I really buy too much music for my own good)
  14. Steve Roach - "Darkest Before Dawn": 74:00 This track is even designed to be played in an infinite loop.
  15. It's the same guys, but its a very different track for them. FSOL were never really trance anyway, so ignore that bit =)
  16. Get Lifeforms first. Then the singles from that album (LOTS of similar material on those.) The Amorphous Androgynous album "Tales Of Ephidrina" is very similar to Lifeforms, but slightly older. Also VERY recommended. ISDN is a bit more harsh, but still in the same vein. Dead Cities is a bit of a new sound, but still good old FSOL. A bit more hit and miss than the totally solid Lifeforms, though. Get the My Kingdom single from this album as well, very very nice stuff. Avoid their latest releases ("The Issness" and "The Otherness") for now.
  17. For the future, the 939 platform looks much better. AMD seems to be fading out the 754 product line. There is a VERY thorough (and technical) article about AMD's and Intel's processor lines here: http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2418 Recommended reading, but it requires some background knowledge and lots of patience and concentration =)
  18. With my affection for oldschool goa trance it may seem I'm not likely to enjoy this sort of stuff, but in fact I have always loved some blackened chaos in my music. But when it comes to psy-trance, tracks promoted as dark seldom live up to it, and the noise is nothing compared to stuff from labels like ant-zen. So here's what I think of this one... As mentioned in another feedback thread of yours long ago, I'm a fan of deeeeep kick drums. This one sounds like it ends at about 65-ish Hz (or even higher), but that means it can be paired up with a fat bass much easier. So it's a balance, I guess. The first few minutes fail to grab me - it's perfectly fine technically and perhaps musically as well, but there is no real edge to it, it doesn't really get to me. The fact that there are none of those awful full-on mini-breaks gives it a hypnotic effect, which is nice. But you could go much more crazy with the sounds and the structure - it's not nearly as chaotic as some Schlabbaduerst stuff, for example, although still quite compatible with their style. This sounds a bit like a sobered-up Procs track... All-in-all it's a nice night-time forest-style track, but somewhat forgettable for me. But thats what I think about pretty much everything nowadays, so feel free to ignore my whining =)
  19. Got some ambient yesterday: Global Communication - "76:14" Steve Roach - "The Magnificent Void"
  20. Youth. His influence on this music is immense.
  21. The Mystery Of The Yeti has very long tracks. "A Binary Input To Flesh Antenna" isn't really trance... I know I submitted it as such to Discogs, but what I meant was that it can induce a state of trance (i.e. it's very hypnotizing) rather than it being in the genre trance. It's not even remotely danceable, that one. And the last time I checked it was still available from the label actually. Shaolin Wooden Men - "Are You Ready To Go" is 13:29. Organic Noise - "Spastic Elastic" is 13:07. Talking Souls - "Karma 209" is 11:31, but there are many tracks at similar lengths. Space Tribe - "Ultraviolet Catastrophe" is around 12 minutes, I'm at work so I can't check, and track times aren't on Discogs. It's compilation appearances are all slightly mixed, I think (like on Black Rhino). Pleiadians has another long track that I think hasn't been mentioned before in this thread, "Deep Frequencies" which is 14:52. It's ambient though. Also, the original (vinyl) version of Zeta Reticuli is 13:13 or somesuch. It's also better than the Lazy Spiral Mix.... Slinky Wizard - "License To Slink" (mentioned earlier) is 12:10. Legend has it that Simon Posford once made a 45-ish minutes long mix of one of his tracks (dunno which) that never got released. Apparantly Youth played it in a DJ set in goa once... lazy DJ, hehe I think Moksha's "Calaidoscopick" has been mentioned, right? it's 18:20. Transwave's first 12" from 1994 has long track lengths - 14:28, 13:22, 11:26. This strange 12" has a 12 minute track as well, which is very hypnotic. I'm sure I have many more but as I said I'm at work and can't browse the shelves... BTW, notice how all these lengthy experimental excursions are almost all from the 90's? Noone dares to experiment like this anymore, which is a damned shame. OK so the talamasca track is recent, but still...
  22. Various - Free As (Edgecore) Various - Cyber Trance 3 (Fairway/Javelin) Various - Infinite Excursions (TIP) Blowfish - Puffed Up (Surreal Audio) ...and some non-trance.
  23. got one as a gift yesterday: Various - "Ultrapop" Also got a second copy of the CD version of Boyd In The Void, to be used for trading =)
  24. OK I'll take them (goacore 1 and gaia party) at €20 each - how is payment handled? Let me know here or in a private message, plus shipping cost to Sweden.
  25. I think it has a few nice tracks actually, number 7 is a really neat dark electro piece! Big EBM vibes in that one too. But yeah, there are some pretty crappy tracks too... And I got this extremely cheap (I think it was 1 or 2 euro) so I can live with a few dodgy tracks...
