  1. Steve Roach & Vir Unis - Born of Fire Awesome track from album Body Electric.. it took me some time to get into this one but it's actually fucking great.
  2. great melodies/chords, nice sounds I say finish it!
  3. psy: Hallucinogen - Angelic Particles non psy: Klaus Schulze - Floating
  4. also very good is Psychonavigation 2, a sort of dark ambient/space jam with the really dark and awesome tracks 2 and 3 the other Psychonavigation and Outland series with Bill Laswell all have interesting, playful music as well... the Dark Side of The Moog project is now finished with part X, which has some nice moments but is definately not up to the standard of the incredible part IX... (I worship part IX )
  5. check this site www.2350.org for complete FAX catalog PK: main label (namlook's own music + namlook collaborations) PS: sub label (other artists + other artist collaborations) PW: world label (namlook collaborations)
  6. Yes some of the best electronic music ever comes from this guy and his label... But I must say that I find a lot of FAX releases not all that great... quantity is not always quality here... it's a matter of picking out the good ones! There's a lot of pointless stuff that seems to be recorded on the fly. His best music is when he actually puts some work into it, like the Air and Dark Side of the Moog albums.
  7. PETE NAMLOOK & KLAUS SCHULZE - DARK SIDE OF THE MOOG IX STEVE ROACH & VIR UNIS - BLOOD MACHINE will both blow you away
  8. some favorite ozric tracks Eternal Wheel A Gift of Wings Dance of the Loomi Myriapod Sultana Detrii Spiralmind Aurora Borealis
  9. Manuel Göttsching - E2-E4 and it's driving me nuts... I'm being hypnotizzzzzzzzzzeeeeedddddddddd you must be a little crazy to sit this one through
  10. ...and some funk, psychedelic rock and game soundtracks and I'd compose an incredibly dark and dramatic piece for a huge choir and a huge church organ... it will be performed in the world's largest cathedral and it's gonna be so powerful that you will feel cold and sweaty at the same time and eventually you'll start to tremble with fear
  11. you can still listen, it's free!
  12. darkish, gothic, mysterious ambient... overwhelming, infinitely deep beatless atmospheric soundscapes... but also highly energetic, rhythmic, pulsating, futuristic, trippy music and I'd also do music in berlin school style with massive sequencer lines on a giant moog modular and emotional synth solo's on top of that hmmm, my music would range from very serene, minimal, calm and beautiful pieces to really insane, high speed, complex melodic pieces where there's so much going on that you need to listen 10 times to discover all the sounds and I'd do film scores... and some pieces for solo piano and piano concertos
  13. Yesterday I revisited this piece and I must say: WOW! Amazing, what a beautiful experience... I don't understand why it is so obscure, it's even hard to find on mp3. This should be a classic and it's definately some of the best psychedelic, atmospheric electronic music EVAARRRGHHH!!! It's really a composition with melodies, climaxes and interesting, surprising transitions. Some moments are so overwhelming and beautiful I got goosebump all over. Believe me, this is a one of a kind experience. Also amazing is that it was made with one modular synth (except some vocals).
  14. I give it 6,5/10 Well, some nice sounds and moments for sure... but because of its simple repetitive structure, it doesn't really pull you in deeper and deeper... and the atmosphere isn't particularly striking to my taste.
  15. BBE - Flash Wow, I loved that tune.
  16. Downloaded it to check it out, gonna listen tonight. I'm really curious... it's gonna have to be something special, because it will not impress me easily... having spent many bedtime hours with the music of Lustmord and the like
  17. Paul Ellis - Shining My god what a track! Slowly but surely it evolves into a complex web of awesome energetic sequences, exactly the way I like it.
  18. my ambient mix it's still here: http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=27214 anyone else listened to it?
