approx. the 10 most played tracks in the last weeks, which means I like them very much:
Crop Circles - Full Mental Jackpot Remix
Ticon - Rip It Up
Sin Hard - EBM
Nodens Ictus - Sharpening the Norm
Nodens Ictus - Way of the Wind
Klaus Schulze - Floating (original master)
Paul Ellis - Shining
Steve Roach - Hyperportal
Debussy - Clair de lune
Arvo Pärt - Summa for strings
Hmmm...... I get this very energetic and positively dramatic vibes of travelling at hyperspeed through a futuristic cyberworld, with sounds and images swirling all around me, putting me in a state of spacy trance.....
np: Man With No Name - Lunar Cycle
my mix is now here for those who missed it:

harmonic mixing with synthmusic, ambient...and psytrance
I'd say a good DJ who does all sorts of tricks and effects to mix tracks... that is almost the same thing as Shpongle does with samples from sample cd's... both use existing material and blend it together
Thanks =)
Already looking forward to making another one.
I myself don't have much albums (someday, when I'm rich...) but I guess I also contribute a little bit like this... if it makes other people buy stuff
favorite psy is Ticon - Zero Six After but I haven't heard any other
favorite 2005 ambient release so far is Off The Sky - Gently Down The Stream
relaxing ambient with soft IDM elements (or something like that), very nice, detailed music
Just finished Michael Stearns - Planetary Unfolding for the 4th time or so, over a long period.
SO good. I'm withouth words. The best psychedelic space music in existance.
You're basicly talking about equalizing? The frequencies of one sound do not change by adding another sound...you will hear the combined frequencies of both. And because a sound covers a certain range in the frequency spectrum, the whole thing will sound "fuller" by adding other sounds with different frequencies. You can change the volume level of certain frequencies by equalizing.. and you can do this to individual sounds or an entire track. I guess....
edit: just read post from Amygdala
Cool! I'm glad the topics and reviews are saved, it's a nice archive about psy and ambient music. Let's chat about music and stuff again.
btw. Could it be that there are reviews missing/lost in the 1998-2002 section?
Yes and Zoetrope, its like being trapped in a cell or something. Pretty scary.
But my favs are Heresy, Stalker and The Place Where the Black Stars Hang, which is superb spacemusic and actually quite relaxing.
Thanks guys!
When I got to track 6... with the awesome sounds and sequences... the energy it creates.. it just had to be continued with more energetic music so I decided to try some psy after that
