  1. Dead Can Dance - Cantara (from within the realm of a dying sun)
  2. check out: Makyo - Natasha and more by them, nice arabic chillout music
  3. Mantis Mentis. This has potential! Nice sounds and melodies for sure.Structure is however too boring imo. Why not start earlier with more melodiesss
  4. Cool. I like those slow beats very much. Maybe the snares could be more punchy. Bassline is nice too. The string melodies I'm not sure of.. I'd use other, darker sounds. Nice!
  5. Steve Roach - Lightness of Being fantastic with headphones... roach goes psychedelic!
  6. Was listening to this soundclip... bloody awesome! http://www.groove.nl/sfx/g/gr-098-2.mp3 But it's just me. I love this type of jumpy, energetic sequencer synthmusic.
  7. One of my own favorites from a couple of years ago to celebrate my 555th post. http://people.zeelandnet.nl/rverpl/Bahamut%20-%20Enter.mp3
  8. maybe he's just Japanese
  9. He's still watching this thread. Fascinating.
  10. About the genres: whatever they're just stupid labels... So far I don't like anything with those harsh rhythms, plops and clicks and random cold melodies. I'm sure that, eventually there's something I'm gonna like... but to me it's mostly dead music that is only about form. It has no content and no interesting atmosphere. My ears hate it. I can listen to it only for a few minutes. I do like it when it's warm and melodic, like Ulrich Schnauss, but his music is too different from what is meant here I think.
  11. Tchaikovsky - Piano Concerto No. 1 I'm in the mood for classical music today.
  12. His music is mainly produced by others for him.
  13. Very original music. Sounds terrific. Good melodies for the most part. I especially like the rhythms and fx at 4:26 and on... the organ sequence is cool too (reminds of me of Castlevania )... the koto (or something?) chords after that are a bit too loud with too much reverb imo... but the sequence at the end is GREAT!! Please continue with that part Way to go!
  14. She was my best friend only for a short while, now she's just one of many. How can you stick with one friend all the time, it gets so boring. Meet new people.
  15. listening to all the samples goa sample 9 should be The Art of Trance - Octopus (Man With No Name Mix)
  16. cool! dark ambient sample 3... I once sent EXACTLY that part of the track to a friend to let him hear some dark ambient
  17. that site rocks... the classification and linking of styles is always open to debate and there is no objective way to do it in the first place... but it's a nice and funny attempt more important are the samples and the artists, they're interesting and well chosen and give you a nice overview of electronic music
  18. I don't rate psytrance much higher than epic trance. I don't like the majority of both styles. But I'm very picky with trance in general. As for Tiesto, I don't like his own tunes. But I saw him once on Mallorca and he played a hard, energetic and uplifting set and I had a great time.
  19. Alan Silvestri - The Predator Theme not the original but some orchestral adaption, it's so damn cool I always get goosebumps
  20. agreed if you mean more by 'less'
  21. Gladys Knight - License to Kill Bond theme, pretty good... for a pop song.
