^ I'd say LSD is overrated, but maybe that's just because i've heard it so many times. It was the first psy-trance song i ever heard, and if it wasn't for that song i wouldn't be here

I totally agree with you there, I LOVE chill-out. At least 90% of the good "psy" tracks being released nowadays are chill, at least in my view

How is it that every shpongle topic turns into "Shpongle rules!" and "Shpongle is overrated"? Anyway, I agree with the others. As much as i like shpongle, this is obviously just an attempt to make some cash for doing pretty much nothing

I thought this album was quite good. It's not exactly groundbreaking or anything, but it's a very solid album. In fact, it's probably the best album so far this year IMO, since i dont care for dark-psy, which seems to be the majority of releases this year :/ I'm glad someone is still making psy-trance with melodies. Keep up the good work!

This is definately the best album i've heard this year, although most of it's "competition" has been dark-psy, which i find very boring. This isn't as good as Sky Input IMO, but i've only listened to it twice. It'll take some more listens to see how it really stacks up It has to be said that he could use some more variety in his tracks, or some breaks as someone mentioned. Listening to the whole album straight through leaves you a bit "exhausted".

All i can say is WTF!?!? I can't believe anyone could possibly like this garbage. Even the crap they play on the radio is better than this.... it's just horrible beyond belief. And here i was expecting some great goa music

I honestly don't see why we need to keep discussing whether Simon/Hallucinogen are good or not. People aren't going to start liking them because someone on a message board says they are killarghh, and vice versa. I am one of the people who loves Hallucinogen and the first 2 Shpongles, but if you don't like it that's fine. To each his own Hallucinogen is overrated only in the individuals mind.

I voted average. There's still too much boring full-on. The two real standout releases this year for me are Capsula's album and Khetzal. Not a bad track on either of their new albums. The Nystagmus and Ocelot albums had some good stuff too. The new Shpongle is very good, but it just couldn't live up to his previous work IMO, and the new Entheogenic is good, but not as good as the last two. Of course there were some surprise tracks from compilations, but they seemed few and far between.

I just listened to this album for the first time and I have to say i agree. The Radical Distortion stuff on this one is very good, "The Halloween Project" being my fav. I really didn't care for any of the Mendark stuff though, it just seemed "lifeless"

I'll probably be listening to a lot of Midi Miliz and Dark Soho, it's some of the only dark-psy i like, but it's awesome, scary stuff. Well, I'll have to throw in Delta - The Thing for good measure

Bluetech is amazing. The more I listen to it the more I love it Out of all the chill i have, I've been listening to Bluetech and Phutureprimitive the most lately. I love how it's so soothing, yet very trippy at the same time, and everything seems to perfectly "fit" together. It's just such great music, it's constantly evolving into something new, and you never know what's coming next. The percussion is really unique and works perfectly too. It's great just floating away to the musical perfection known as Bluetech

That's not the track, although that is a pretty good tune Haha, i know for a fact it wasn't a Skazi song either, since i don't own any Skazi. I'm pretty sure it was made in the last 2-3 years, but i have no clue if it was a compilation or a full album. About all I remember is it was a full-on track, but that doesn't really help since just about everything is full-on nowadays :/

I know i have some song with some Formula 1 race car noises in it, the only problem is I don't even remember who it was by. I've tried searching through my collection a little bit, but it'll take me forever to find it if i have to go through hundreds of tracks :/ Any idea what song this is? I believe it was a fairly recent song, although i could be mistaken. The Formula 1 engine noise is just really crazy, and works surprisingly well in a psy track

I think it's obvious they don't care about the psy scene at all anymore, they're just trying to get as much money as they can. 4 crappy tracks (not even new) for $14. WTF!? I love IM's earlier stuff, but sadly they are one of the worst psy acts around nowadays :/

Yeah, it's almost like goa and full-on combined in a way IMO, although i can see how some people would say it's definately not full-on. Also, I'm pretty new to goa/psy so i still get some songs/artists confused as to whether they are considered psy/goa/full-on/etc. As long as it sounds good, and sends me on a journey I like it I've also heard a definition of goa, where they said goa is more 'organic', and i certainly don't think filteria sounds organic.

Filteria - Sky Input, although maybe this isn't "pure" full-on and I like almost every song on both the Fractal Glider albums Can't think of any full-on besides Sky Input where i like every song though

Shpongle for sure (although not some of the tracks on the new Shpongle), because Shpongle is pretty much my favorite music EVER. I really enjoy Shulman and Entheogenic (slightly less than Shulman) too though. There is so much great chill out there though, so narrowing it down to just 3 artists seems crazy to me. Chill psy/goa is by far my favorite type of music

Goa, because there's a lot of really crappy 'psytrance' that i wouldn't even consider psychedelic (just boring). If it was comparing good psy to good goa it would be a really tough choice though, and the two can be very similar sometimes

Either Gamma Goblins pt 2 or Jiggle of the Sphinx, i voted for Gamma Goblins 2 though. Hallucinogen has 10+ songs that i would give a 9/10 or better though so the other ones are very far from bad.
