  1. Haldolium - Deagua (more in a progressive vein but with a really dark overtone - one of my favourites btw) (grrreat!!)
  2. life is getting more expensive everywhere i think (am i wrong?) or at least compared to wages and employment rates but living in germany with a somehow functioning economy, job market and social net we don't have to complain about of course there are lots of people here who argue that everything is going worse and that they have problems to make a living but compared to the majority of countries and cultures, keeping in mind that germany made an incredible evolution since the world wars, i see no reason to whine about only thing is sometimes i'm doubting that germany is this forerunner in europe, the paradigm for serious planning, economizing and social working, as i get the feeling that we pressure a lot of other countries to hold them down, to stick to our economy and values and spoil others' own ways and possibilities
  3. Need more? Chillosophy Series from Digital Structures A Magical Journey I + II (Ajana Records) Plantation (Mindwaves Music)
  4. 2012 was a bad year for me - i bought only one album and i think it wouldn't be in my best of list if i had all those i would like to :(

    Revolver (2005)

ah yeah, Requiem for a Dream, haven't heard the soundtrack, but i can imagine that it is like how you mentioned - will check it for sure by the way: have read that there are big differences in the US and UK version of this movie, or more precisely, in the US version are missing some scenes and the movie ends earlier which gives it a different direction and a more incomprehensible edit. this surprised me, cause i thought that americans need more chewed for movies - at least at cinemas
  6. nice one. i like this not so aggressive and übermelodic yet driving style - surely a grower, now 6/10

    Revolver (2005)

Everyone who thinks that Guy Ritchie makes always the same movie with gangsters, guns, gambling, plot twists, different time levels and not to forget a very stylish look - watch this !! To me, this is by far Ritchies best movie. A überstylish movie with gangsters, guns, gambling, plot twists, the usual mixup of time levels, perspectives - but far more than that !! This is a story about the Ego and the perception of Oneself, the Good and the Bad, interwoven in a chesslike fight. Sounds strange ? Hell, it is !! Rarely i've seen movies which i had to see one more time the next days that i don't forget what was going on and to watch it with enlightened eyes - well, not really enlightened, cause Revolver gives multiple possibilities to interpret - and that's also why i love this film so much. How many movies do you know where people really had to talk and think about what was going on and what shall it mean. I know only a few. If you haven't seen it, watch it - if you have seen it and you thought "well, this is illogic or stupid or boring", then watch it once again and start thinking. Don't forget that controversial and not-so-easy-simple-popcorn-movies rarely get the attention they deserve. And btw, the Soundtrack is also in a class of its own, not like the other Ritchie Soundtracks (which are all nice but more a collection of tracks a la Tarantino), more like the scores which give you trippin experiences in its own way (the highlight in this league being the Soundtrack of Fight Club) - Have a listen:
  8. more alltime favourites District 9 Apocalypto The Boondock Saints Planet Terror Ghost in the Shell Zombieland Revolver
  9. apart from that i don't understand how one can compare the atmospheres from astral projection and rammstein i recommend you these two ( and ) - oh wait, i get it now, i forgot who opened this topic
  10. happiness, health, fun, food, water, sex and fresh air to all of you !! enjoy 2013 !!
  11. Time for a new discovery, from Dubstep to PsyDub. Christmas time is laidback, at least for the ones who are not running from meeting to meeting or from party to party or are cooking and cooking - that's what my mum did for a lot of years. So, sit back and relax and do what you did the last days or try to come down from your stressful christmas. This is Dubsalon - groovy reggae and roots dubs paired with some psychedelic hints and these typical vocal echo and instrumental parts. So, for sure a lot more on the Dub Side than the Psy Side, this music lets you down and gives you the energy to roll another spliff or to grab after your partners tits. Listen loud and grab or roll: Download
  12. uuuuuuuh, that would be really awesome ! son kite, if you read that - GET YOUR FREAKIN TRACKS OUT !!
  13. at the place where i lived before there were partys with different electronic music styles and the music which caught the people most was psytrance. of course there were always openminded people and i know that most of them didn't really listened to psychedelic music at home. but intense psytrance with deep rollin basslines, easy accesible melodies and catchy breaks worked best there, a lot better than drumnbass, house, lousy prog or whatever. i believe one of the main reasons for that is that music with about 145 bpm is a perfect tempo, even for non-psy-lers. so, if you have openminded people who are used to house and electro (or which ever electronics) i wouldn't play proggy music. instead give them a nice driving psy-experience with well-dosed melodies - i'm quite sure that you can get your people dancing with Atma, Protoculture, Tikal, U-Recken, Sirion, S-Range, Infected Mushroom, Cosmosis, Chromosome, Mr. Peculiar, Silicon Sound, Talpa but whatever you play - HAVE LOTS OF FUN !!!
  14. classic, but i like other revelations more, in the right mood this is definitely a 8 or 9, but at the moment i'm preparing to get out, so it's 6/10 this is what makes me leave now (Ormion, this is for you )
  15. hi anoebis, looks like an amazing nye-rock where you'll go. wish you fun there. a friend once told me about a freaking labyrinth in an occupied building which is also used for partys and other events. can't tell you much more than that but it sounded totally interesting, scaring and frightening if you wanna get lost in a strange dark world - haha. i will definitely go there the next time when i'm in berlin. the club/bar/building is called the Wilde Renate, the labyrinth is this here i think. have a look and ask around, for sure some people at the party will know it and can tell you more. on topic: i don't know yet what to do but i don't care this time, will surely end at some party - so, all of you who survive the world's end have a good time, cheers !!!
  16. usually i really like the wizzy noises and their driving powerful techpsy, but the last two tracks here don't sound much alike the stuff they released the last years. you know where they're from Hitzy?? anyway, nice track, sounds like retro wizzy, but i miss sth more wizzyness 6/10
  17. i've listened to the whole album few weeks ago at a friends' house and i really liked almost every track. have to admit that i wasn't clean, so my hearing was maybe biased, but since i'm a bit of a shiva chandra fanboy i'm pretty sure that i'll like this album even stonecold sober. what i like is - of course - his cracking basslines and these specific sound patterns that appear in a lot of his tracks. also his orchestral tracks make me having lots of fun, even if they are on the cheesier side of chandra, like essence, return to atlantis and here the last planet (this one's really GREAT!!). but still have to listen to it more often, or waiting till i can afford it. besides, i don't see the attempt to appeal for a wider audience, only because of the shift to more proggy-clubby-housy music. his music is distinct from the first album, you can hear his style until now, so i think he's more making the music that he really likes to do and trying to break some borders than thinking of how to appeal to certain listeners.
  18. not the biggest fan but this guy is definately one of the few originals in pop music is he still into rockin funk music ?? like this ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byFlaDWngns
  19. yeah, i was somehow surprised, not that there's dubstep on tv but in that specific case. i don't watch commercials and the german tv channels which showed the championship are not really known for their modern approach or attempts to please young or alternative watchers don't see much difference here to a steady 4/4 beat can't comment on that cause i'm not into the dubstep scene, but i can imagine that some diehard dubsteppers would disagree with that generalization anyway, i understand your point, commercials use almost everything to attract whoever, if it will be out of the context doesn't matter. i remember hearing a known goa part in some commercial or tv jingle, don't remember what it was. but to me that doesn't really matter. thing is i really like this short track, use it quite often as an intro, and till now i don't own a mercedes. btw, you listened to it?
  20. that and this coercion to style up fo those hippie-goa-events
  21. ok track - nice tribal part, some typical early goa chant, i like the melody at minute 6, but in whole the track doesn't make me go wild -> 5/10 btw, too much oldschool here , how about some fancy psytrance ??
  22. not to forget Premutos: The Fallen Angel if somebody knows that - so dumb with terrible actors and silly plot but simply great b-movie-splatter
  23. not sure what that means, but if you're waiting for the gauntlet, here ya go
  24. This is one of the biggest surprises that I witnessed in this years TV sessions. It was the time of the European Soccer Championship and in the halftime of one of the games there was this Mercedes Benz commercial spot, I think a lot of you who followed the championship might know what I'm talking about. A lot of car commercials have these futuristic shape, cool look and sometimes nice music. So was this. But what I heard left me completely . This is the commercial spot, have a listen http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNmlHgUKNXQ To hear this during one of the biggest TV and Sports Events made me stunning and laughing, considering that a lot of oldfashioned people were following this, living in the 60's and 70's music-wise. A quick search showed that the track was released on a free Mercedes Benz Mixtape, which is unfortunately not available anymore, due to some license rights. I really like this short Dubstep-craze, fitting perfectly to something like a Soccer Championship because of its hymn character. So, here's the full version, listen loud to Audiomachine - Guardians at the Gate (Access Denied Remix) and wobble around: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=cH_kNJvsoaA This time I won't give a download link cause I'm not sure how it's the case now with license rights, but I know you will find it easily. But for those of you interested in Access Denied's music, go here. You'll find similar sounds, some also free. And here the link to Mercedes Mixtape Music Section. I am not surfing around there, but you Indiana Joneses perhaps want it.
