  1. Been looping it all night since I got it yesterday evening. Released yesterday Murky brooding haunting ambient-ish oddness, yum.
  2. :DD http://qdb.us/35080
  3. I think you meant it the other way. Goa trance being the mother
  4. And one of the most strikingly annoying features of psytrance people is that you're actually looked down on if you don't take (a shitload of) drugs at parties. I've lost count of how many times I've got condescending looks for refusing to take drugs even if "everyone else is doing it, stop being such a pussy". Not directly said like that of course but I can read it between the lines. Seems like you're one with everyone else as long as you're as high and wasted as them. I'm in this first and foremost for the music, which unfortunately is nowadays mostly copypaste garbage for mindless partying. There are exceptions of course
  5. I've met some of the most wonderful and lovely people in the psy scene...and of course also some of the worst fucked up junkies and narcissistic assholes I'd rather forget about. The scene sure attracts all kinds of weirdos No need to apologize. Much of the scene would need a good wake up slap in the face. And I've never even been in the innermost circles to know all that goes on behind the scenes, just an observation I've made over the years.
  6. Less than a day after Kosmos Festival 2015, this mix also hit 1000 plays on Soundcloud
  7. My first mix to hit 1000 plays. Yay \o/
  8. Samsung SH-224FB. Samsungs in general have been stellar for CD ripping (DVDRW drives that is, my Samsung Bluray drive is as said basically useless for CD ripping).
  9. Being moderately flabbergasted. That DVD drive I installed, I decided to test it out by feeding it a bunch of CDs I've had major problems with. CDs that won't rip without errors on 4 different drives on 2 different computers. And the fucking drive just goes nom*nom*nom and rips ALL OF THEM with zero errors I paid 16 Euros for the drive. Sixteen. Fucking. Euros. And it does the job I got it for better than the nominally literally more expensive arsenal of drives I already have. Might need to get a few more of these and stash them away for when the current one goes kaboom... >_>
  10. And coincidentially (if I may perform a little bit of shameless self promotion here...) this mix of mine starts with Phototropic and ends with New Aura With lots of '90s downtempo/goa yum in between :3
  11. Tandu - New Aura Transwave - Phototropic
  12. Replaced my DVD drive from 2008 that died the other day, after dutifully ripping practically every CD I've owned since 1997 or so. The replacement seems to work fine, albeit a bit slower than the previous one. But as long as it gets the job done I'm not complaining. I have a Bluray drive too but it's mostly useless for ripping CDs
  13. The specifics weren't revealed so I'm as stumped as you.
  14. Just read on Facebook that Francoise Faggott of Texas Faggott, Squaremeat and Midiliitto fame has passed away
  15. Finished the puzzles part of Road To Gehenna a few days ago. Much more difficult than the main game, but not impossible. Now the stars, that's a whole different story and it seems you need to be a mind reader to get them all and the challenge:fun ratio is so high it's not even fun anymore, so screw that. I give up. And well, after some Steam refunds and tinkering and more games on sale, these are next in line (probably enough for most of the year as I'll take a break for now) Mass Effect + Mass Effect 2 (maybe I'll get ME3 some day but it's not on Steam) Life Is Strange Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition And the inevitable Rise Of The Tomb Raider sometimes later (played all of them since back when the first one came out, uh, 20 years ago...and I still have the first game on its original CD-ROM).
  16. I finally sold Tomorrow's Harvest on Discogs about a month ago. Holy fuck that album was dull, it's like: *fade in *tinker with some random synths/loops/whathaveyous for a few minutes *fade out *repeat 17 times, oh hey look, we have an album! I have Music Has The Right To Children too for sale, there's just about 2-3 OK tracks on it (Turquoise Hexagon Sun and Aquarius IIRC, maybe Roygbiv too, can't remember exactly).
  17. Algae Bloom - The Blossom. Totally unlike anything else out there.
  18. Nice album indeed, prog without cheese is always welcome That being said, I still prefer Frequenzwechsel. That album is fantastic.
  19. If a download version is good for you concerning the Brainforest album: Bandcamp.
  20. What's with the sudden attitude change?
  21. Nope. Absolutely no click (tried some keyboards with blue switches and couldn't stand the constant clicking) and requires the most force, just the way I like it It's also backlit with white leds (the space bar colour can be customized) and has a bunch of lighting gimmicks but I prefer keeping the keys lit at all times (and I've set them to turn off when pressed).
  22. Psilocybin. Ducky Shine3. Expensive as fuck but the best keyboard I've ever had. Cherry MX Black switches <3
  23. Or Satori with Pete Martin.
