I've been meaning to get that Biosphere album for I don't know how many years now, thanks for reminding me

Shpongle - Are You Shpongled? (obviously) Banco de Gaia - Maya / Last Train To Lhasa / Live At Glastonbury / Big Men Cry / The Magical Sounds Of Mathuresh - Metaphor VA - The Chakra Journey (Return To The Source. CD 2 is one of my favourite downtempo comps from back then) Toires - Hemisphere / Oued VA - Infinite Excursions 2 (TIP Records) Galaxy - Angel / Solar Synthesis EKKO - Centripetal VA - Eclipse (Twisted Records) Total Eclipse - Access Denied (some people can't stand this album, I think it's if not great at least OK)

So what's the story/error behind Cyberland and Analogue Step being at the wrong speed on the CD pressing, as noted on Discogs. I did some calculations based on the given info and it seems it was a 44.1kHz/48kHz error when copying the DAT, but how wasn't this noticed before sending the material to the pressing plant?

Originates as a subtitle on the Goa-Head series, and subsequently used as is on the rather questionable Goa Trance series This looks like another ripoff with the same typeface, and a typo "Pshychedelic Techno".

Just trying my luck here (Hunab Ku Children of the stones)

Am I the only one around here who's not bothered by the samples? Sure, if it was a crap track they'd be somewhat annoying but with such a fantastic track it's no big deal -
18 years later and Electra is still unmatched power-wise

How could I forget this? The best Delta track by far and immensely powerful. The Delta - Thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYMXHFnbslc -
Is deep dream still a thing? But yeah, I've seen worse.

The reason why I can't take acid on the dancefloor, it turns everything into drilling or chainsaws and I hate that Yeah I prefer the slightly softer (or maybe "subdued" or something but anything that's not too harsh) style. My ears are quite sensitive and just can't take too much harshness especially at high volumes. Some exceptions exist of course. Xenomorph @ ZNA at full blast from that F1 sound system was pure undiluted ear and brain candy (has anyone noticed that I'm quite the Xenomorph fan...) and I'll remember that gig for years to come -
And you should probably remove those votes from your quote Oh and hey would it be an idea to PM the people who voted for JaraLuca? I know there's just 3 days left if someone still wants to adjust their votes but it could be worth a try.

Seems like we have a different view on what "powerful" means. For me it's not "a million layers going through space at the speed of light" (not that Pleiadians or Filteria do that to me anyway). I'l post some examples to illustrate my point, but a few tracks is never enough to be honest. Slide - The Search Merr0w - Pixelized Sight Xenomorph - Shaari Avadon MFG - When We Dream Playful and sinister? Subtle and relentless? Fuck do I know, but powerful -

I'll be posting this everytime someone claims that something Pleiadians is unmatched in power or something like that. PWNED -

Thumbs up for that

Sure. I'd still need to review some of my currently 11-20 placed tracks. And with JaraLuca stepping out some people might need a few days to adjust their votes. Until the end of the year?

In the "not the only one with this shit" sense, sure. In all other, no. Yes, no, no. I Was 29 when I tried it the first time. I've had some good times with it but the bad outweigh the good. I can count my trips with the fingers of my 2 hands. Nope. Never been a habit. Like acid, had some few good times with it but the bad outweigh the good by far. It makes me feel like shit so what's the point? No offense meant but I think you're wrong here. I've never understood people who turn to drugs/alcohol abuse and all that shit when life kicks them in the face. I just don't understand the logic behind "oh hey my life is shit why not make it even more shit while we're at it". And that song and video just pissed me off. No offense meant again.

Yeah it's a bit early to start doing lists when the year isn't over yet. I'm still missing some releases and won't get them until next year.

I need to tinker with it some more to give a better opinion. All my hardware works so that's always a plus There are some small annoyances and things that work differently compared to W7 (no surprise there). Need to get used to it I guess. Classic Shell is required to get rid of the awful new start menu. I mostly like the new simplified UI. Would be nice to have custom colours for the window title bar and task bar (the darkest violet available isn't nearly dark enough for me).

Tracks and albums that are like watching a movie
Paul Eye replied to pdinklag's topic in General Psytrance
And as for downtempo... * Shpongle, no doubt. Especially the 1st (especially the first) and 3rd albums (the rest maybe not so much and just forget about the 5th one, OK?) * Kurbeats - Folktronica * Banco de Gaia - Last Train To Lhasa was already mentioned (but deserves another mention) * Vataff Project - Kalitz (especially) and Maeoma. Both albums have that certain vibe that's there throughout the entire album. * FSOL - Lifeforms. Yeah, not psy-prefixed music per se, but deserves to be among the others here. And many more I can't think of right now. One connecting factor is that all of these albums have no gaps between tracks (or if there's a gap it's an intentional divider, see my post above). That's one of my requirements for an album to be a "journey". -
Tracks and albums that are like watching a movie
Paul Eye replied to pdinklag's topic in General Psytrance
* The first 6 tracks of Hallucinogen - The Lone Deranger. I don't think it's a mere coincidence that there's a pause after Gamma Goblins Part 2; the 2 last tracks are stylistically so different from the well thought out continuum of the first 6 that it's a good decision to have them as their own separate unit (and I've always felt they're more or less filler tracks anyway to get TLD to album length). * Zirrex - Ritual Dance. Perhaps the best "psytrance" album ever made. It twists and warps in unexpected directions and a third of the album isn't even really psytrance at all. Both PoF albums, actually I actually prefer Superior Technology, both as an album and as a totally deranged journey. I mean, it's hands down one of the most twisted, weird and outright fucked up albums I have. Well, apart from the last track that's (as on TLD) tactically separated from the rest and more like filler. -
But then again, this is absolutely fantastic </offtopic>
