  1. Hmm. I don't feel the urge to listen to this very often either, but when I do I generally enjoy it more than I expect to.
  2. Infected Mushroom are OK I suppose. But they're no match for Baba System.
  3. It's not Goa trance, but you might like to check out the kind of stuff that Glowing Flame records put out, Radi. Their artists make some very good melodic psytrance with vaguely Goa-ish sounds, listen to this track off Braincell's first album for example.
  4. It's Shostakovich. Not entirely sure why I have him as an avatar, I just like that photo for some reason.
  5. Sines and Singularities is a funny one. When I hear tracks off it played at a festival, or I'm listening to it through my HiFi in the dark with incense burning, it sounds amazing; but through headphones in the office (for example) it just bores. I find it the most context-dependent music I know.
  6. Look again. Wirikuta appear to have started selling new copies in the time since this thread was started. Incidentally, if you ever get the chance to see Derango perform live you should definitely take it.
  7. Touché.
  8. So it's been repressed? Hmm, now I have to decide if I want to fork out for a physical copy in addition to the lower quality iTunes download. e: I just got that newsletter too. What strange timing.
  9. ...it was an advert for "Psy-Trance [sic] Euphoria". Bad news if you ask me.
  10. I emailed Wirikuta a while back about that and apparently it's out of print and at the time of asking there were no plans to print any more. But it is available on iTunes and a few other download-only stores.
  11. Good idea IMO, nice work Mars.
  12. I haven't heard it myself, but people on this forum seem to have a very high opinion of it. See here and here for example. Just got that in the post today, and my first impression is very favourable. Might write a review in a few weeks.
  13. I don't know that track, but based on the sample on Saikosounds I would say yes. You might be surprised; I didn't expect to enjoy his set when I saw him live but in fact I loved it. I think that after listening to this kind of music for any length of time one's brain gets numbed to the craziness and allows itself to be carried away by it, if you know what I mean.
  14. edit: this is really rather good.
  15. My goodness, you're right.
  16. Excellent album. Along with Ae's Amber, Biosphere's Substrata and FSOL's Lifeforms, this is one of those ambient albums that everyone should own.
  17. Well said Basilisk. Skazi and his ilk may be shit but the only thing that really bothers me about the scene is all the people moaning about how much they hate the scene.
  18. Not sure whether that referred to the ISB cover I posted, but if so: sorry for not noticing your question sooner. It's psychedelic folk from the 60's.
