  1. exactly. it's so rare these days though that it makes you creative!
  2. every style of music i listen to is bounded to evoke a certain feeling, has a certain purpose. while the feelings that indie, metal or techno convey are pretty easy to express in words, the emotions i have while listening to some really psychedelic trance or goa are a lot harder to grasp. i actually can't express it in clear words. psytrance just overwhelms me, it puts my mind and body under a tension that makes me want to rip open my skin and let my inner somethings pour out into freaking space in order to orbit god's creations out there. i just love those acidlines that make me wanna tear out my hair, the melodies that make me shiver, the beats that make me stomp a hole into the ground. i just love that shit. and in parties i especially like the fact that watches seem to cease functioning as soon as i start dancing. everything that bothers me at the moment diminishes to nothing. and i can be the weirdo i am
  3. i like the ethno, selfmade look, not the fluoro stuff. for looking at, that is; for myself, i prefer simple, plainly single coloured trousers, shirt and pullover.
  4. Zerotonine - Cygnus Loops http://www.discogs.com/release/66701 this thread can be locked now.
  5. i voted for Progressive Trance. it's cheesy as hell too btw
  6. i start at the beginning, with the first tone of the track.
  7. hehe, i just recently started to like oasis before discovering psy with 12 yrs (almost 10 yrs ago), i listened to metal. my dad introduced me to all this, i spent a lot of time flipping through his vinyl collection as a child, i knew it by heart after discovering psy, i didn't listen to anything else until 2 or 3 years ago. nowadays i listen to all kinds of music.
  8. miss ivon is released on va-ultrapop 2 (fabula records). dammit, now i remember what cd i forgot to order
  9. Prometheus - 9th Talpa - Till We Meet Again
  10. good question. my music is my identity. i can't imagine my life without making music generally, not necessarily psytrance. being a musician has always been my goal in life, long before i started the Anakoluth thing, when i started to play drums. if i hadn't started it, i'd play in a band most probably, or do some other music on my own. yet there are times that i'm torn between my music and my other creative hobby, writing that is. usually it goes like this: i'm working on a tune, and nothing else. i can't think about anything else, i don't go out in order to work on it etc. then, when it's finished, there's a period of doing nothing at all, creation-wise, and then i would start coming up with wicked ideas for prose, because, as soon as i turn my mind off from music, all those stories would jump out of my unconscious into my mind, and i need to write them down. and after a few weeks i'm back to writing music. thus thing is, i don't know what is more important to me. it differs. at the moment, music is slightly more so, but i want to be killa in both. hence i'd say everything that i create is part of my identity. i define myself through those things; it's easier to show people what you are in between the lines than through tacked down words.
  11. right, forgot that one! it's so creepy!
  12. i've never had problems with them, but if so i'd certainly phone them, not mail.
  13. have you ever heard zeretonine - drunken flower / fettling ep on society fx?
  14. hmm. that would underline my point, innit? however, i agree. moreover, one can compose without knowing how to play an instrument, of course it's quite helpful, but if one can read notes very well and has some great powers of imagination, it is not essential. for instance, ravel, the composer of the fucking annoying bolero, did know how to play the piano, but he hated it. he seldomly used it, means only in cases in which he could not imagine the sound of his composition.
  15. composer does not necessarily mean you are writing classical music. it can be classical, but also jazz, pop, whatever. the only thing the word "composer" refers to is the aspect of writing music in a notation system. thus there is a difference between composers and people who produce music or play an instrument. usually, a composer does not play his compositions by himself. no sane man would write down techno tunes in a notation system, hence granting us the status of composers would be wrong.
  16. awesome track, awesome album
