  3. Echo Plantation
  4. in studio: AKG K240 Studio on the go: Sony MDR-V150. they aren't very good, but for listening to music on the way to school they're more than sufficient.
  5. my personal understanding of esthetics tells me those are real ugly too:
  6. i wish i would have spent some more for something more decent, actually...
  7. if you listened a faster tune before, it'll sound slower. if you listened to a slower piece before, it'll sound faster. also, it depends on mood. dont you think that also other music sometimes sounds slower, sometimes faster to you?
  8. dblue glitch is nice yes (not only for the sort of psy you are talking about (i refuse to call it "dark")), but totally overused. one can make really cool things with it, but i guess that most people just add it into the fx chain and use its randomizer. thats definetely very boring. use it consciously, try to make something special with it.

Fav Psytrance or Psychill release in your collection. Sandman - Witchcraft 7. Most important Psytrance or Psychill release in your collection and why. Sandman - Witchcraft, too. coz it's the most fucking amazing release ever. 8. The most rare Psytrance or Psychill in your collection. probably Future Prophecy - Future Prophecy (Big Foot). 14 people have it on discogs. 9. Albums/Compilations balance. 75 / 50 10. Do you support artists from your country. Do you buy their releases? not really. there's not much good music from my country. bonus: the only source i download from is archive.org
  10. tsuyoshi pisses me off here. i dont know why he named the intro track like this but as we aren't given any explanation i take the liberty to judge on it. psytrance does not go nowhere. but the stuff he is playing does so indeed. i've heard him play twice in the recent years, and both times he played the most imbecile unpsy music you could imagine - i went to my tent after 3 nirvana remixes. so stop dissing the stuff you're crapping out yourself, that doesn't make one very credible. why come back in the first, when only coming back to ride the bullshite-wave?
  11. crossovers of acts: Shulman with Chan Marshall or Joanna Newsom or both X-Dream with Yello Isis with Michelle Adamson some jazzy minimal techno would be cool. no idea hot it'll sound like tho, just jumped in mind.
  12. i'll briefly add a few from switzerland that aren't in Tatsu's list yet: Paste Liquid Soul La Baaz (part of Paste) Yab Yum Tara In Project Amphiptere Insane Creation Anakoluth
  13. i still agree with pavel saying this and a lot more is a sell-out of psytrance image. notice there's a difference between selling-out and using new ideas. in eternal atrocious soul torture, anak.
  14. i could fill a book with non-psy stuff i like to listen. i listen more non-psy stuff than psystuff actually. because i like making lists, stuff i love includes... The Mars Volta Portugal. The Man (album of the year 2006 i dare say) Christ Godspeed You Black Emperor Queen Adreena / KJ Garside...i'd marry her! Placebo Cat Power Dream Theater Héroes Del Silencio Death Cab For Cutie Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Trentemoller Porcupine Tree At The Drive-In Opeth Moby Bjork Joanna Newsom D. Diggler Ellen Allien etc. no use, really but it was fun.
  15. funtastic. love kiwa. waiting too!
  16. he's using another name, hence not selling out any of his psytrance alter-egos at all. i think this is great; shows he's a great diverse ARTIST, not just psytrance producer.
  17. i have vol. 9, but i lost its disc 2. it's pretty okay if i remember well, but it was the last good one in my book.
  18. also check out Jazzmutant Lemur. kick ass. http://www.jazzmutant.com/lemur_lastupdate.php
  19. very nice!
  20. well, it was awesome! i dare say, one of the most mesmerising live acts i've heard to date. it was nice taking a nice acid bath, and awesome watching people doing some real handicraft on stage too! recommended!
  21. i like it a lot...bought the CC reprint lately and gave Division a spin too again. some elements of it are stuck in my head now. i reviewed it 3 years ago http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/...forum/9/start/0 funny to read it now
  22. that cousin of yours would most probably like most of the stuff in this direction, just show her some Interchill, LSD etc. stuff. psychedelic downbeat music is a lot more catchy and accessable than upbeat stuff. nothing to do with simon p's skills. make an experiment and show her Hallucinogen - Shamanix, and let's see if she digs that too, because it sounds posfordesque. but i guess she wont, because unlike most shpongle tunes, this is fast hectic mindbending psychedelic trancedance boom boom music. for us, also shpongle is a blast in psychedelic, mindbending meaning, but for other people it might be a lot less "stressful" and more easy to digest, just because it is slower and has more accessable hum-along melodies. i once showed my mother an Interchill compilation (13th Moon), and she liked it a lot, she said it sounds like pop music she puts in the background while sewing. of course, for connaisseurs like us it sounds a lot edgier than the music she compares it too, but when you don't have a big knowledge about something you always look for elements that you know first. hence someone who doesn't know a lot about rock music wouldn't hear any difference between black and death metal. it's just rock, cause it has guitar riffs and drums. so justbecause my mom likes it, doesn't mean the music is extra blissful. for me it just means that my mum ist very open-minded
